Man this is great and I’m looking down that exact path with the good guys of eracing-lab. The documents are inspiring but I got no guidelines yet about the sizing of the elements. How did you go about those calculations? Congrats on your setup, top commitment!
Awesome setup. I just got rs ultimate and am setting up over the weekend. I would love to possibly see your srs settings just as something to get started on.
Amazing rig, what’s the real difference with motion compensation? I have an sfx-100 with 4 actuators but I don’t have issues in VR, what’s the benefit? Or is it only needed when you have traction loss and:or surge?
If you have the standard 100mm or keep to the "less is more" theory, this might not be a problem for you. But for people with 150mm and want more pitch angle when going over steep hills like on Nordschleife, Laguna Seca.. etc, these large angle movement will make the visual in VR to "bounce around". This is also one of the reasons why people with motion need to limit the movement. Having motion compensation fixes this. It lets me increase the pitch angle to get more realistic feel and visual (=immersion) when I drive on those tracks.
So If I buy an aluminum profile rig, The RS Mega+, The RS solo Traction lost, The RS solo Surge kit and the RS solo Active Belt kit I can build this ? or Did you have to get other parts for the platform underneath? I really wish I could find a setup guide + build material list for this somewhere.

Hey there - what is the size of aluminum extrusion you used to build the TL platform ( the upper and lower frame) and the Surge platform? Looking to source a parts list but can't find anything.
@@kawasakininja9386 I'm having trouble prepping for the two TL frames. I do need relatively exact measurements as in your previous video you demonstrate the upper TL frame rotating on the anchor point. I don't want to get extrusion that is too narrow so it doesn't cover the entire width of that axis. Would you be able to share dimensions for the two TL frames? I could pm you as well if that'd be easier to communicate that way for my particular build. I am using an ASR4 (advanced sim racing chassis). Hi, this is a very nice setup! In the video it doesn't seem to have motion compensation enabled. The movement of the Rig is quite visible on the screen (40 sec. vs 1 minute mark the steering wheel gets bigger and arms shorter). I am really interested if the SRS motion compensation with virtual tracker is better than having a real tracker near your head. Maybe you got it working and have some details on this? Thinking about switching to SRS because of motion compensation with virtual tracker. Thanks!
Yes, the motion compensation was enabled, and worked really well with the visual in the HMD. The SRS motion compensation does require a hardware tracker. You can read more about it from the link below. www.simracingstudio.com/post/motion-compensation
