    A couple questions:
    1) where I live the winters are very long, would I put them under grow lights? Just by a heating vent? Do I just shove the stems in potting soil for 6 months until the snow finally leaves?
    2) Have you ever tried honey as a “rooting hormone” and if so would you recommend it to others? I tend to grow mold because I love my plants too hard ☔️ 💦 😂
Sorry for the lengthy questions. I’m really trying hard not to kill everything I’ve put so much time into.

No, unfortunately not, apple, cherry and most of the fruit trees are grafted on rootstock. They can be grown from seed but might not be true to the original fruit.

take hardwood cutting in winter. you can also grow grapes from cuttings in spring and summer but the success rate is a little lower. Keep the cutting in shade, well watered, and provide nutrients after 1 month, every 2 weeks.
