Dude that switching the multicam clip is what I have been looking for! It has seriously been like a month where I’ve been trying to figure out how to switch views without throwing in a cut!

The gap clip tips were just what I needed. I've lost count of how many times I've deleted a clip and lost control of my timeline. At my advanced age, I just wish I could remember all these shortcuts. Excellent tutorial, as ever. Scotland is deeply appreciative of all your hard work.

I set my default effect to be a crop-in. Much easier than dealing with adjusting the scale or adding an adjustment clip constantly. 👍

Holy cow, these are amazing! I knew about the "Duration" shortcut, but I hadn't thought to use it for titles or clips that I want to extend through much of my videos. I didn't know about the shortcut for applying a default effect, either. These two tips alone just saved me a bunch of editing time. Thanks so much!

Great upload of part 2 again! 🥰 Anyway, could you please tell me how to create this tutorial video?
1/. What software do you use for screen capture?
2/. How do you use Pro Zoom title that keeps the screen not blurry?
3/. What resolution do you use to setup this video tutorial? 🥰
I love your video quality 🥰🥰🥰

      Hey @tubejourneykh!
I’m not sure what software Dylan uses for the screen capture, but the project resolution is set to 4k, and the screen capture software puts out a very high quality recording.
Zooming in definitely does make it a touch blurry, most of the time it’s not too noticeable on a screen recording.
But it’s expanding the existing resolution - not actually zooming in,
BUT on his ProZooms plugins there’s a toggle and some settings at the bottom that have a built in sharpener option.
For the most part I don’t have to use that option on the screen recording, but occasionally if I have to zoom waaaay closer, I’ll toggle that on one of the Pro Zoom titles for that section.
      Hope that helps!

@taylorgumby is the one who edited this one! So he knows what he’s talking about.
That said, I use cleanshotx for screen capture, but I used to use QuickTime which was completely free!
If you’re experiencing low resolution with pro zooms, try using the effects version. There’s a direct limitation with Motion and FCP, and titles will actually conform to the resolution of the project, which can make things blurry. But the effects conform to the resolution of whichever clip you apply it to! So it will retain full resolution. My in-depth guide on Pro Zooms covers all that! Appreciate you watching!

The video was very helpful, but the constant Zoom Ins, Zoom Outs and Swirly Transitions were very distracting. I found myself having to rewind and replay each tip. I know you’re trying to promote effects and transitions but tutorials should be a lot more straightforward so we can concentrate on what is being explained.

    • @TaylorGumby

Hey @monizfilms! Thank you for watching and giving us your feedback!
This particular video IS very rapid pace, with packing 15+ keyboard shortcuts into less than 7 minutes.
I know Dylan is planning multiple videos going more in depth and detailed for most all of these tools. This one is meant to be just a quick overview of a lot of info, then he’ll break them down slower down the road.
We majorly appreciate everyone’s input, and we definitely will take yours into consideration while working on future tutorials! 🙌
