usually when a console pops up, it's a sign of the executable file cleaning the cache files after the installation is complete. it is actually very easy to hide, takes only a couple of commands to write within the code of the executable. the reason it pops up is to show you transparency within the installation process. aka, to show that there is no shady background stuff happening
and if you did somehow manage to get a virus on your pc by pirating something in 2024, well...skill issue, lmao
also, remember
pirating indie dev games is the worst crime you can commit under the black flag. if you do, treat it like a demo version, but support them in any way you can later on. they *need* that money. they *need* that support. same for the games you like, no matter if it's AAA or not. it's pretty reasonable. support those who you think deserve support, if you are financially able to do so. a couple of statements on corpo software on a subscription only intended to milk you for years, like Adobe or Microsoft products and more. if buying does not mean owning, then pirating does not mean stealing
Btw what if the console pops up and closes everytime i start my pc? Is that viruz?
@@jamueI start it in a safe mode, see if that helps. if it does start -- yes, it a virus. use antivirus software while in safe mode or you could try resetting your pc to a certain date if you had autorecovery checkpoints turned on. usually they're made when you attempt to install something. made *beforehand*. meaning if you installed something and now it won't load, you can try resetting to when you didn't install anything. try googling some guides
@@jamueI ooookay. dunno why my comment got deleted.
start the pc in safe mode. if it does start that way it's a virus for sure. run an antivirus scan while in safe mode
alternatively you could try resetting the pc to a autorecovery checkpoint that's USUALLY made when you install or update something. it's like a built-in foolproof feature that you could use in case you got infected with a virus or in case some update broke something. I'd recommend trying both, top to bottom
@@R-T_VA Hear hear!
As someone who touched the industry. 70-90% of profits from places like steam/indie game store for indie games like Changed (Dragonsnow) or undertale go through.
But for AAA corps like Ubisoft/Ea/Blizzard?
Yeah if they get 50 billion more dollars they'll fire 10 million dollars worth of artists and declare they made 0.1 billion more. Yeah feel free to f2p and even some indie game devs have worn both shoes. (We were all starving college students once). But if you start pirating their shit and talk openly about stealing their stuff, and how it's "morally correct" as they glare at you and start screaming at them that everyone else's money belong to artists or pirates. It becomes very socially awkward for everyone lmao.
We all gotta keep food on our table and people have worn both shoes. I've worked with other devs who were screaming at runescape devs while being plants vs zombie devs and both of them basically screamed. "OH YEAH! IF ADDING A 4TH RAID IS SO EASY, WHY DON'T YOU MAKE A 4TH GAME!" and the other was screaming "OH yeah, If adding a raid is so hard, WHY ISN'T IT THERE!"
"It takes me 40 HOURS to add 5 second of content, modeling, coding, scripting!"
"IT TAKES ME 40 HOURS TO ADD 12 seconds of content, painting, animating, coding and scripting!"
"WELL WHY AREN'T YOU MAKING IT!?"
"Uhl...."
"Wait.. you're shirking off work too. aren't you???"
"Okay, caught, guilty!"
"I still want your money"
"It's mine, @!#@!## YOU!"
"STOP ARGUING WITH ME AND MAKE YOUR OWN DAMN GAME!"
"NO, !@## YOU!!!"
Ahh. The circle of strife.
A virus that doesn't want anything outright it's pretty sus.😅
I know it's humorous but if this happens get totalAV. but if you're pirating indie games who get 70-90% of revenue off epicgamestores i judge u as a gam maker. But if you pirate ea or play ea i don't. Times are tough and we can't buy developers 7th yacht. But im not gonna make money if people steal all of minez for people who want it all.But i guess we gotta play our own cards lol.
Off the top of my head though i'd still recommend a scan. As someone pc literate, here are things that are possible for me to put on your computer, and im not a professional. Just a novice for what cybersecruity classes show.
1. Potential trojan / RATs (Remote access programs a hacker could use to remote control your information. I've used self done ones to play runescape from a mobile phone, but hackers can use this to steal items / paypal info / wire money away / seize control of you during paypal.)
OF course can != do. I can do it, i don't do it nor ever will.
I will use it to play runescape, but it's a common scam. Cyber security you have to be ahead on top of advances by knowing it.
2. Keylogger, dime a dozen. This is why we have encryptors
3. Ad injectors / resource hogs / crypto miners / Ransomware.
Lock down your computer or just add in annoying ads, potentially fake "INSTALL FREE ANTIVIRUS NOW!", which leads you to installing a worse virus.
I would just get a reputable software of your choice. I've used Malwarebytes, Total AV, Spybot search and destroy and mc afee free and i have to say so far. Total Av > Malwarebytes / Spybot search and destroy seem great.
But you want to check everything before installing it and do official site only tho. It's probably over reading into a joke. It's your computer virus, not mine, and maybe it'll just play cat videos or try to steal all your money or mine crypto. Have fun! :D
"Hi, just a little screen flicker here, could just be a loose cable or something... swell time to do some online banking eh? 👁👅👁" 🤣
not quite, most malware nowadays stays hidden for as long as possible, to steal as much information as possible
@@huvjh6594 yeah
malware that does anything else is either ransomware or scareware. Most malware is designed to steal information though, so revealing that to the user by doing anything is just going to ruing the odds of getting useful data

F2p games or games with play to pay systems like Old school runescape. Buy once and own forever games like Guild wars 2 (15$ to buy path of fire + Thorns on sale, own for life. Slow updates, but fair side mmorpg with no sub with really good combat and really fun quest fights and 10 years of backlogged, slow, glacial content. But really worth playing at least 15$ path of fire + thorns. Eod kinda sucks. Only get EOD if it's on sale or you want gold farming zones. The story isn't as good as the other ones. )

A common way of getting a virus is from downloading a virus that claims to be something else. If you see a windows command prompt that pops up and then disappears its very likely whatever program just ran infected your PC
Piracy isnt stealing if buying isnt owning.
It is if it's indie games that get 70-90% of proceeds and you'd have bought without. But if it's Ea/Activision/Ubisoft or a company doing layoffs. Please do. Just support games you like. But if you do, some people are on both shoes, but if you brag about stealing indie games and never buying like Undertale / changed. I will judge you if you ask for money to be thrown at people who openly have no qualms stealing other people's stuff. >:/
@@Notyouraveragename oh, no i primarily meant ubisoft, and other large game corporations that attempt to say we dont own the games we pay for. Indie games are unlikely to do this, and as such im perfectly fine with paying for them.
So basically, if they try to say we dont own the game, just pirate it.

Im pretty sure my brother installed viruses from gae corn when i was a kid and blamed it on me when i played wow on his computer.
I know none of us were innocent, but he was watching gae corn from sus sites 5 years later and the only 2 sites i visited were wowhead and World of warcraft. I had my own computer to do the evil.
It moved 5 mphs, it had 10 kbps internet, it took 2 hours to install murloc rpg and crashed (terrible game today, dated, but it was 'good' for then standards)
We only had flash games like one more level to play and kongregate and andkon arcade. No money for games. And now with flash dead, i can't even play my childhood games.
But now i have adult money and a computer and i use ai to do stuff while at work because circumstances chance and as a kid, you're time rich, money poor.
As a adult, you're money better, time poor. But you can still be money poor if you make the wrong choices. Like backing into traffic. Unless this is a joke comment in which case it's not particularly funny, but if it isn't... What the hell were you actually doing? Roblox is free, and it should be common sense to never purchase it anywhere but from the site/a gift card. Unless your account got hacked, but in that case you wouldn't have access to it now either
@@dontkickmychick6076 I did purchase it on the actual site, and it ain't a joke. I just randomly got a virus on the PC and it seemed to do something to the account. I've been using a proper Anti-Virus since.
@@Dantonfall Huh, so another unrelated virus was already present and just activated when you bought the Robux? That seems to make more sense, but still I'd figure if it was something that could somehow extract Robux from your account then it would have to have access to it, at which point it could do a lot more destructive things than simply siphoning Robux. The command prompt popping up isn't really a sign of a virus, just a lazy dev. Lots of installers do it, and I don't think someone repacking a game would care enough to remove it.
