Nobody’s really mentioned it ( that i know of ) but massive fuckin respect for boyfriend still fighting even after seeing Girlfriends corpse be used as a puppet against him. Most would crumble under the depression stress and fear. But he stood his ground even when Horror Mario was telling him to commit “stepping off pipe” and telling him how he can’t win and he’s alone

This is also the first time that I think a demon made a deal with BF in the first place, so this is the first time BF broke a deal.
Man learned his girl died, and instead of giving up, he chose to be the man she loved to the very end instead of shattering. The value of tragedy, its best and most heart felt use, is to show off the strength of will of your characters. The world may end, but it will never change how one lived upon it. The limits tested and the length it takes, showing true human spirit and courage at the end, holding on until you can't no more, a true heroic spirit, is always the best tragedies to watch.
A hero is not a hero because they save people, but because they never give up trying to do the best they can. You wouldn't be so sad at a tragedy, if the hero wasn't worthy of it.

I would like to notice something in the starting cutscene.
It shows each one of the characters you fought against, until you finally face him.
Hell, this shows better in act 4, as he uses the voices of each one of the characters you've triumphed against in the mod.
He also uses Mr. Sys [main antagonist of Unbeatable], even though his song is unlocked after this song.
Guess you really can't beat Nintendo.
As well as mimicking everyone’s voices (or whatever he did) he also sang with every character during his lyrics, it wasnt heard very well but after that second “come now take the step” more voices are heard

Some don't like the ending but honestly it fits perfect considering the story. Mario initially offered a deal which Boyfriend ran out of after only doing 2 songs of three, thus sealing his fate. Mario speaks to him before the song and while he is impressed, he cannot forgive the broken deal thus leading to the death. It was clear he was definitely toying with him through the whole song though
Boyfriend lost his 2 lives on the lost stories mario and turmoil on the end where you cant dodge and here is his unavoidable fate where it all ends

For me personally, bf losing oddly feels refreshing and gives me clarity that despite him being the hero and always coming out on top, he is still mortal and has his limits

tbh that's what i love about him losing. you see glimpses of it when gf 'dies' (regenerates some point after getting torn in half in demise and is fine after paranoia) where bf sort of just loses all hope, and when she's finally taken from him he fails.
this and ddto bad end (both where bf dies after gf does and his death has to do something with his heart/chest) do this, and i love it cause they essentially use the whole 'bf and gf's relationship is true love and they can't live without each other' thing as one of boyfriend's only weaknesses and that's so awesome to me.

The Mario Entity killing Bf was honestly the best part of the mod. So unexpected because he usually has so much plot armor. This just proves that mods can still be good when you lose...

I just love the detail of Mario's eyes being replaced by Cappy at the beginning and end, and the backgrounds of all 4 acts are amazing! Starting the song off with a gorgeous backdrop of a destroyed New Donk City with little details from Odyssey such as the green A and the flipped over taxi's, then cutting to a more traditional setting of mario bros 3 complete with a redesign of Mario to be in a Tanooki suit, before finally being presented with an up close view of the behemoth complete with nothing but Mario, BF, and possessed GF in a void area, all attention on them as the music gets darker and darker, before it eventually ends.
Actually, it's not the Tanooki suit, it's the super leaf. Tanooki suit would just be Omega with brown fur everywhere. The super just gives the racoon ears and tail
Personally I love that his eye’s aren’t fully replaced. Rather if you look closely when Mario is singing in part 3, when he lifts his hat you can see his real eyes. Small, piercing, focused, and just unsettling

Omega's section is so fucking underrated, he has awesome vocals, amazing animations, and that scream from his torso mouth into him mimicking bf is all done so well, I'm upset it isn't appreciated more.

The worst part about all this is that Boyfriend wasn't even really a part of this situation, the conflict was between Ultra M/Super Horror Mario/Mario.exe and Daddy Dearest. Boyfriend wasn't even part of the conflict; his only crime was being connected to Girlfriend, who was Daddy Dearest's Daughter. That makes his fate of dying in the end of the mod even more sad because, other than his connection to Girlfriend, none of it should have happened to him.
Honestly, I'd really want to see a final song continuation, where Daddy Dearest, Mommy Mearest, and Pico team up to take the fight straight to that Mario Faker, because of Pico's Connection to Boyfriend, and the Dearests' connection to Girlfriend. I mean, even though Ultra M has become two Souls Stronger, he still has three people probably genuinely pissed off at him, and one of them is the one who locked him inside that copy of Super Mario Bros. Even though he wanted Vengeance against Daddy Dearest, he probably got more than he bargained for.

So, small detail I noticed. The song gets interrupted when there's only 13 seconds left on the in-song timer, but the whole game over sequence lasts roughly 13 seconds.
If your playing this and you're keeping a quick eye on the time, that's really gonna catch you off guard XD

Honestly, THANK GOD BF LOST. It wouldve been cliche for him to live and just seeing him and gf die made me enjoy this mod more,it made me cherish their adventures and i felt like i saw a whole theatre just by seeing the full mod (i know its 2+ hours of content)
Apart of me still wants a good ending but according to mario in the game over he says he sees infinite possibilites and knows whats gonna happen every time. (At least a good ending remix or art for it)
@@xKutiix I'm just disappointed that the "bad ending" was essentially just "rocks fall everybody d1es" in FNF. It had no build-up and was so abrupt it felt like a last minute decision. Like the devs went "oh oh, we really need to release the mod soon! Quick finish the song!" Instead of a proper ending. For example DDTO bad ending actually had a great bad ending, BBI had me suspecting a bad ending and I was actually somewhat surprised by the fake-out, the corruption mod had a pretty decent bad ending until it was ret-conned, even Ourple guy had a more enjoyable bad ending than this utter slop. Here it's just "I'm le GOD so u los or smtng!". Felt like an actual creepypasta ending in a bad way. Also Pico didn't show up in the final song despite being introduced, therefore 0/10 absolutely terrible. Overall the ending is just needlessly subversive, it's like taking a random story, removing half of it and abruptly ending it with "and then the main character had a heart attack and d1ed, the end."

At least it would have been bittersweet and would make the extremely try-hard credits song seem somewhat fitting. But even then an issue I didn't bring up initially still stands that the mod feels like it's trying really hard to be angsty and edgy but utterly fails at actually making me feel any emotion other than frustration at how underwhelming the ending is. Like you can't start a mod with an amogus sussy crewmate delivering a package and the Nintendo console having "p3nis and balls" buttons, with the main villain being Mario Nintendo but tall, leaking oil and with le god complex, and expect me to feel emotional when you "totleigh sabvyrt mi expectatiorinos!" By giving me a non-ending with a wannabe 2010 edgy "sound of silence"-esque song in the credits, plus the Checkovs gun that is Pico never firing plus bf and gf having completely different personalities from base game (both being complete wimps for no reason) and it being canon to the mod that Hypno's lullaby and FaF happened before the spooky angsty hyper-realistic Mario extravaganza doesn't help with the fact that this feels like an actual creepypasta with an ultra hyper unbeatable OC donut steal antagonist who is totally stronger than those guys. Also Unbeatable makes the whole ending feel even more pointless since I guess gf and bf are alive? But maybe they are now souls sonic.exy style or whatever I straight up can't care about this anymore, All stars is super underwhelming and Unbeatable completely mogs it as an ending song.

But as you said, it's just like a creepypasta. I think that's what was intended here. That's what I see in all stars. A creepypasta finale. I think it was just being really realistic, as how would they win in the first place? They also had details throughout the story, which leaves loose ends that leave the fans speculating. Pico was one of these. Also de supposedly doing something bad to Mario was implied, so that leaves speculation as to what did will do after finding out what happened here. Also they aren't necessarily dead, they're playthings now. That's what undefeatable is about in my eyes, after all stars, they're forced to go through countless Nintendo cursed media, and later creepypasta mods, to suffer in arms as playthings for all eternity. It gives the creepypasta vibe time to shine, and leaves rooms for other creepypasta mods to be cannon. Plus its a mod, so it's not like they cant do anything they want. I respect all stars for being this way, a sendoff to a creepypasta mod.
But undefeatable also slaps as a nice ending song too.

(No offense to the previous parts of course, they were totally awesome in their own rights) However, we really get to see that THIS time, in this song, GF is *dead,* for REAL, and isn't coming back. We see how BF struggles with the sight of seeing her like this and what his response is. A mix of chaotic singing with his deceased, controlled GF, more-or-less trying to provide comfort to her.
But unfortunately, it's too late and BF knows that. MX rubs it in by taunting BF with those harsh lyrics in the background. And to add insult to injury, (I assume) ALL of the souls MX has accumulated started to sing in union with him as to belittle him further. (Cause I hear others singing with MX and can only assume the eyes in the background are the souls MX has) I could keep going on and on about this point in the song, but it's a HUGE turning point in this that makes me like it so much. It's musical storytelling at its best. (Not to even mention the ending part where BF has his solo.)

Yes, Ultra M literally grabbed Omega and told him to distract BF long enough for him to kill GF and turn her corpse into a literal puppet. Maybe Omega took off his hat and made that dramatic bow because he knew that Ultra M would make BF suffer like hell after this by puppeteering GF’s body against him while taunting him that it was all his fault.

Random thought, and whether its proper lore or not, but the intro where it shows Mario going through different forms and then the creepy smile before the song starts, along with the death song, makes me think it’s saying “I’ve died countless times across different eons. Now it’s your turn.” That totally makes this song even more next level then I initially thought if that was what the artists were going for.

Talking from my slight ignorance, I feel it a bit logical for Boyfriend to die at the end. In every mod with a insta-kill mechanic (QT for making an example) he is always able to dodge even if the things came at a considerable speed, but now, with his desperation, fear and anger... He was too focused on winning to take revenge for girlfriend that he couldn't have reacted on time, even on the song that's visible, BF gets interrupted on his note in the end, making clear that he wasn't probably paying attention to anything that wasn't that monster in front of him

Know that I think of it, it's even more creepy knowing Omega distracted BF so Ultra M kills GF, so we never see GF dies.. just her corpse. It's even more creepy she has her demon form on, meaning she tried to defend herself but her powers don't work so thinking about it that way gives a really bad vibe.

While I do like how BF finally lost a battle, I feel like it could’ve been gone about a bit better than BF just getting randomly railed from behind by a stake that came out of nowhere.
Even as something as simple as Ultra M winding up an attack that, in spite of being able to press Spacebar for, either slows down as it approaches BF to reveal it is too big to dodge, or results in BF falling off the pipe and THEN getting impaled by the spike, would make it feel much more.. believable.
I think that would be an interesting event at the end of the All Stars song.

I think the reason for that is that it’s not supposed to be an important death. It’s heavily implied that Ultra M killing Bf was out of frustration rather then a ‘final attack’ kinda thing.
After all, he never cared about killing Bf, as he could just do that whenever he wanted to. He wanted to break him mentally. Hell, he even tried it in this song when he attempted to convince Bf to end his own life during the lyrical part. This goal was the only thing he wanted to achieve, but due to Bf’s persistence, he couldn’t. And ended up killing him out of rage.
This death was even said to be unsatisfactory to him. At least in the end credits song.

In reality, he wouldn't have a chance against demons like these. I just wish sonic.exe Mod didn't have it, so they lived. I loved the ending. Shows his world TRULY is his world. And gf being a demon unable to use her abilitys show it. Good job to the creator and team behind this mod.

I'm pretty sure that BF is supposed to fall under the "Under dog" character. Yeah, he IS just a rapper. But seeing him beat such powerful beings when he's got no powers is his whole character. And saying that BF wins too much is like saying that Link, Sonic, or Kirby win too much in their games and that it'll be a nice change for them to lose.
I don't think BF losing here is good at all. But because there are thousands of mods, most of which have BF win, I think that made people get bored of seeing the same thing over and over again to the point where they actually accept a BF loss.
They just want something new even if it doesn't fit.

So funny story about this song
Me and my brother had downloaded this mod and we eventually got to All Stars. The thing is, we downloaded it on his laptop and, let’s just say it’s not the best piece of tech. So when I got to Act 3 of the song, the game froze and his computer actually Blue Screened.
I managed to find a work-around and beat the song for him lol. It was amazing.

Something I like about Ultra M and the final battle is that the transformation implies all of of the previous opponents from the songs actually survived like IHY Luigi. Even though they’ll likely never be a MM2, it leaves the gates open for a potential unofficial sequel.
My hopes for that hypothetical mod would be the additions of Ink Bowser, Wega+Urio+Maltigi, Coolrash Mario.exe, Super Mario 128 Mario (the creepypasta), burgers Luigi, Victim #1 and Mad Mad Mario.
Since M served as the main antagonist for this mod, perhaps this hypothetical sequel could have Pico as the protagonist, with Mr L and Ink Bowser serving as the main antagonists. Maybe even the extras from Allstars could show up and get their own songs.
I’ll be honest, the tweet from this was all just canonically a play/film. This would just represent what this is. But yet, boyfriend lost to Ult Mario, nontheless.

I have a cool idea for Act 4’s Mimicking Sections, when the mimicked character starts being sung by Ultra M, he quickly transforms into the design of the character hes mimicking.
For example, just imagine Ultra M starts mimicking OMEGA, and then his body starts transforming and making him have Cat ears and a Tail, Just like OMEGA. If you dont get it still, imagine Him mimicking IHY Luigi. He will transform into a version of him where he is burned and showing pink skin or whatever, small parts of his clothing ripped, and hat torn a bit, which is also what IHY Luigi Has.
And another detail i could show, What if at the same time when he mimicks them, it shows a small cloud bubble showing the character alongside with Ultra M. Then, it has parts of the background, The pieces of the Mushroom Kingdom, as in, Mushrooms, Fireflowers, are then turned into objects that were shown in the mimicked characters individual song. If you STILL. Dont get it, Imagine the background is showing the normal cursed objects flying around in the Normal Act 4. Then some objects that were in the mimicked characters song (For example, When costume gets mimicked, itll have the flying objects swapped to an object that was in Costumes Song, “The End”.) What i like about this song is that its LONG and i dont like long songs, yet it has different encounters, art styles and it's pretty creative too, like triple trouble. What i love the most is the fact that M is an incredibly interesting and well made character, he changes into all the other creepypasta characters at the start of the first scene when you play all stars. Whats more interesting is the lore, its the fact that all the creepy pasta and internet horror are all in this one mod, the fact that all these oddities and horrible events stem from one place in M's domain, meaning he has full control since he's the one ruling it all, not to mention he wanted revenge on GF and BF since daddy dearest was the one that turned him into the monster he is. In the first scene when they meet M he explicitly says "you're going to pay for what your girlfriends father did to me" which isn't a suprisw since DD is responsible for some of these encounters BF and GF have, garcelo from smoke em out struggle says "dying like this was better than what your girls dad was gonna do to me." Its been brought in multiple mods that DD is responsible for certain character appearances

One thing I liked is that this Creepypasta mod wasn't meant to be scary, it was also to show that BF doesn't give up even after the loss of his girlfriend.

Anyone notice the heroic like theme, when BF gets the mic in the cutscene with the dry bones, is played twice? The first during act one after the music kicks in shortly after the beginning, the second during Ultra M’s starting vocals during act 4 like he’s mocking BF.
From what I understand, Girlfriend couldn't revive because of the rules of Ultra M's game, he controls the rules himself, so definitely, Girlfriend couldn't revive because of that.
