I made a Taiwanese junk sailboat-from 3D modeling to a physical model.

The Donggang King Boat are generally based on the basic design of Hokkien junks, but due to differences in time periods, shipbuilders' traditions, and various needs, there are many variations. For this modeling project, I referenced the Scroll of Foreign Ships from the Matsuura Historical Museum in Japan, which features the prototype of the Taiwanese ship, along with information gathered from online sources.
However, the Donggang King ship system differs slightly from the traditional Hokkien junk ship. In terms of painting, the Donggang system emphasizes various patterns, stories, and characters. Additionally, there are many accessories in the Donggang system that are not found in the original Hokkien junk ships. After all, the Donggang King ship is used for festivals, while the Hokkien junk ship is a general prototype.
