- Stockholm, the capital city of Sweden, is located on the country’s east coast. Stockholm is a tourist favourite as it's known for its beautiful archipelago and several historic sites. The city spans across 14 islands which re connected by over 50 bridges.
On this walk we start at the Stockholm train station. From there we see the inner city and pass the Royal Palace to visit key landmarks like the medieval Old Town (Gamla Stan).

The city is pretty nice. It may not be the prettiest in Europe, but to me, it's the most beautiful in its own way. From its geographical location to its cleanliness, organization, and maintenance, the city stands out. In these aspects, Stockholm surpasses all others, except perhaps London and some cities in Germany.

You've been travelling a lot so I'm curious what's your favourite city/town in Europe?
Overall for Europe my favourite is Barcelona as I had the chance to live there for a month about 20 years ago - now visit sometimes again. Spain is often a bit crowded these days.
There are nice places (during summer) like Copenhagen and the Baltics with Tallinn, Riga, Vilnius etc. which I also like. During winter I hear Switzerland is great but I am rarely visiting. Wroclaw and Poznan are my favourites in Poland and I'm visiting soon
