I find buildings to be lifeless, monolithic blocks; modernist architecture at its worst, especially along the harbor.

Agree, in the harbour area there are several brutalist monsters, the new Munch museum being the worst. The new national museum is a bunker. But there are more humane buildings, not shown in this video, and Oslo is mainly forest, very good for short or long walks. the geographical center is far away from everything shown here.
