I think it would be dope if you did a video series of making an entire beat tape, showing your method for making tracks that gel with one another. Maybe start with some theme, and make tracks based around that, although I don’t know your workflow.
I would love to be able to do that but that would be hard for me personally. Its a lot more work making a beat and talking about every step at the same time. I like having my own headspace when creating. Having to explain everything slows the workflow down considerably as well and can kill creativity as quite often I say words/sentences wrong and have to do them again. (they are edited out later) I think the next step could be to try some live streams maybe. That could be fun
Great Video! I Wonder how you mix and master your Beats when you make a Beat on the mk2 and lets say you wanna put it up somewhere? Do you just export the whole beat to the SDcard and EQ it in a daw on the masterchannel and use a limiter? Thats the way i do it lol
Yeah I don't do much. I usually do like you say. I stick it in ableton and do a bit of EQ if it needs it, usually just to mellow out the harsh frequencies.
I like those videos where you first process the sound of a sample by a particular sampler and then work on a sampler with a sequencer (the SP-404 MK2's sequencer sounds good, I only know the SP-404A's). The MS1 definitely gives a particular character to the sound of the sample, although as you can see in the video and I've also noticed using that machine it doesn't have much output volume, so I'm using it together with the SP-404A to get more output volume. Greetings from Argentina!
Yes, though the headphones it sounds good - it has a nice loud sound but through the line-out its very quiet. Its great that the MK2 has the normalise feature...Its really handy for this kind of thing! Thanks for watching
Great vid as always! You think you'd ever do a video going through your fav bus 3+4 fx? I find myself only using the 303 + compression combo on bus 3 and 4, so It'd be nice to see your favs
I love these videos where you team up the SP with other equipment. Thank you
Thanks yeah I've been meaning to do more like this!

Same here - 303 compression and isolator. That’s a cool idea for a video though thanks 🙏
Thanks for this videos!!!
No problem, thanks for tuning in!
Will it be possible to control the MS1 via MIDI from the SP-404 MK2?
Hopefully yes. I need new cables though
Great video. I would love to see more PO33 videos too.
Yeah I need to get that back out again!
