Mainly the levels like I mentioned in this video. Also don’t overdo it too much and ruin the mix by flattening everything. It’s good to have some dynamics 👍
Yessir. There are a lot of points that could be discussed around this area I guess, that's certainly one of them. I have done some videos solely on the topic in the past but yeah, it should be utilised 👍
You can assign pads to either BUS 1 or BUS 2 by switching to that bus and using the remain button. You should be able to see that my pads are two different colours
really good input. one question when working the loops, how do you make sure the loop in sampling has a specific length for the perfect loop? what to consider?
Tbh I rarely need perfect loops, I just don’t use them in my flow. I always chop. Even if I’m just laying down a drum break I’ll chop it in 4 and then put it on the grid quantised. The sp isnt great for it. It’s trial and error really. Best thing to do would probably be to put it in a pattern and keep trimming the end until it fits
Thanks for the tips, a real gift. Always learning more from you. Thanks for sharing. Gonna check your store and support, when I'm back in UK, next week. ❤

Is this kind of a mixing tutorial? I’ve been looking for the right effects to add more punch and I think this video is gonna help me a lot!
Hope it does! it’s kind of mixing and mastering I guess
Nice video man. I'm in a creative rut so need so inspo. Any tips on using compression when mixing/mastering?

this is more like fixing a "bad" mix than a bad beat.
True. I often find that getting getting through these steps can change my opinion about an idea I've got though!
I do all that, all the time....but you forgot the cream and butter of the SP....resampling. Intentionally, of course.

Appreciate it bro. Thanks 👊
Cool beat and tutorial! How did you apply fx to the samples and the drums independently- are they each in a group?
