TV commercial for the touring show: RAIN - A Tribute to the Beatles
Commercial Producer & Editor: Paul J. Toth (@pt3pix www.pt3.com) - Видеоклипы
Ed Sullivan actually said they'd only last six months and then disappear. Thank God he was wrong.
The group lasted a full decade, counting the pre-Ringo days when they adopted the name The Beatles. And in a way they never disappeared; their influence on the world persists long after their breakup & the deaths of 2 of them.
Michael Smith Ed Sullivan was a talentless fool who worked off the back of others. He didn't understand the Beatles, British music or creativity full stop. What a plonker.
Sullivan was good at spotting talent and giving them a shot--that is rare today--he gave many acts their first TV exposure--comics and singers were lucky to get a slot on his show
yes
Cat Stevens
Saw the show last night in Newark and have to say one of the best live performances I've ever seen be it a regular band or tribute band! Sat in the first row and had a FANTASTIC time. I felt like i lived through something that i was too little to know about at the time. These guys are the Beatles
Tommygun1028 I was at that show!
Rain are very very good, but I judge The Fab Four to be the best and most authentic looking and sounding. Fab Four have the appearances and mannerisms down pat - especially the guys who play Paul and George.
AMEN TO THAT!!!!!!!!!!!! ARDY AND GAVIN ARE GORGEOUS
i would agree! Rain are very good and I give them respect. The Fab four ...personally I think they got it down!
I saw this group in Balto a few yrs ago; they were fabulous. Incredible concert.
Jeez..I come from Manchester, 20 miles away from the hometown of the Beatles, Liverpool and I went to see the Beatles many times. Now I would pay to come and watch Rain perform live..Absolutely top stuff
thank for keeping the Beatles alive
saw them last night in Philly, amazing show, will go back if they come around again. They don't miss a single note and sound just like the Beatles. Great costumes and stage presence.
Just seen Rain( Mar 29th,2017) at the Oriental Theater in Chicago Absolutely fantastic- close your eyes and listen to the music and truly you were listening to the lads from Liverpool.
These guys are terrific. They look and sound like the Beatles.
Have seen Rain three times in the past year. Fabulous show in 3 very different cities w/ a diverse and fully engaged crowd.
I'll be honest, I never thought that I'd love a tribute band, of any kind. But I love Rain! I've seen them twice, and they're great. They play all of the songs note for note, and their vocal harmonies are amazing. The lights, sound, and high definition video behind the band is top notch. If you're a Beatles fan, you'll love Rain. Believe me! I'll go see them a third time, next time they come to town. A very fun concert for sure.
I have seen them twice, once in Hollywood and once in Detroit, worth the trip
I've seen these guys many times. You owe it to yourself to experience at least one of their shows. They have elevated tribute to the highest level ... doing things in their live act that even the original Beatles could do only in a studio.
I just saw Rain about two-weeks ago at the Rosemont in the Chicago area. I went by myself and had a great time. Rain was excellent!
hey Maggie I just seen them in Milwaukee, the other night they were great just like you said amazing..you shouldn't went by yourself, take a friend next time..
J. Peters Glad you had a great time J. But no, none of friends are into the Beatles, so I go solo....Lol
De brillants gentlemen !!! ils ont marqué mes belles années ; thank you
Not easy to do, and I tried -- in the 60's. Their "Day Tripper" is the best cover for fidelity I have ever heard of any Beatles song. I saw them once years ago on the beach in Santa Cruz, CA, and they left out the "You can't do that"s on "You Can't Do That", the best part of the song. No one's perfect. Their 'Paul' has the voice that the real Paul wishes he could have now.
I saw the old Beatlemania--twice--on Broadway in 1978.
So far this looks awesome. They'll be in Charlotte April 16. Got our tickets as soon as they went on sale. This is my birthday present. CAN'T WAIT!!
I'm 17 years old and I absolutely love the Beatles! Obviously I never got to see them in concert because that was before my time. I'm often sad bcasue of this, and wish that I was born in a different decade. But then my dad told me he got tickets to this show. After research, I discovered that these guys aren't just some cheesy wanna-be band. They're the real thing. Thank you Rain, for bringing the Beatles back. I'm sooo stoked to see the show this Friday! :)
After they ritually murdered James Paul McCartney in 1966, The Beatles never played a concert again. His replacement Billy Shepherd looked nothing like Paul and was four inches taller!
Hey ! ...that's my Beatles that I saw live in Toronto... now I'm cured and don't regret not seeing them live at MAPLE LEAF Gardens.!
Just saw them last night & all I can say is WOW! I'm still blown away. What a tribute & what a talented group of individuals. They are great musicians in their own right :)
The amazing thing is the speed and perfection the original Beatles poured out these classics... The originals had about 3 days of practice for each song, and inventing them in the same time. Not just writing the songs... but inventing a new sound, and lifting pop-music decades in just a few months. The the tribute bands keep practicing them for years.... just to get close in reproducing it...
+Paal Brudevoll I've realized the same thing, finally . I play a bit of guitar, and I've been trying to perfect some of these songs for years.
These guys are Beatles fans in the truest sense. It must have taken an incredible amount of talent and practice to get the Beatles down note for note and spot on.
A great tribute band. They're a really polished outfit and enjoy what they do. Long live the Beatles sound. Yes a lefty bassist would be just the topping on the dessert.
I met them after their show in Sacramento, ca last summer and i wore my Beatles playing in a Liverpool club t shirt and when the guy who plays Paul saw it he pointed at Paul`s bass and said, "That`s the bass i played tonight!" to the guy who plays George.
Fantastic!
Beatles fan all my life, saw McCartney live in the 90's, seeing these guys was one of the best performances I have ever seen. they are, well, FABulous!
Going to see them july 30th l can't wait!!
We saw them on OvationTV over the weekend. Just Amazing !
They will be playing in Hershey, January 26, 2012...
We'll be there.....
I remember watching them coming off the plane and their Ed show. Really changed the world. I have to say The next 15 years
was a music explosion that changed the human reality. I would wish everyone could have experienced that life molding time.
Saw Rain last month in Riverside, Ca. It was the second time I had the chance. They were great. I remembered Paul as 'right handed', but the guy doing Paul this time actually played most of the songs left handed. He played right handed when playing Yesterday, which I though was amazing. I've seen the Fab Four (great both times as well), but I actually think Rain was a little better this last time. If you love the Beatles, either group will make you glad you took the time. Wonderful stuff.
If I'll not mistaken I think I saw this Group the Regal Princess cruise in January, and they were fantastic.
I'd LOVE to see these guys live.
Too many people hate on tribute bands. I wish they were more popular. There are so many bands that so many people won't ever get to experience live. This is as close as we can get to seeing the Beatles now. I've seen them twice and I'll go again.
I have seen "Rain" live in Baltimore, "The Moptops" in Connecticut, "1964 Tribute Band" in Delaware, and "The Fab Four", here on Utube. My second best favorite is "The Fab Four", but number 1, is definitely the "Mahoney Brothers", I can't get enough of them, have seen them in New Jersey, Maryland and Pennsylvania.
When I first saw this group on PBS it took a couple of minutes to recognize that they were not the Beatles. I had no idea what was on when I turned on the television. It was during the drive for funding so you never know what to expect. I cannot believe that there could be a group who look and sing more like the real thing.
i got to see them a couple years back and I can still remember the whole performance like it was yesterday
Hey, this video was shown on the screen during the RAIN concert at the Riverside Fox Theater in Riverside, CA. My son went to see the band there on Friday, Sept. 24, 2010. They will perform there through Sunday, Sept. 26th. The RAIN band had Steve Landes (John), Graham Alexander (Paul), Tom Teeley (George), Ralph Castelli (Ringo), and Mark Beyer (Keyboard). I think they came from Beatlemania. Josh said the RAIN band cast changes. Josh said they were excellent that the audience wanted an encore.
This is awesome!!!!!!!
last week i saw them at conexus art center in Regina, saskatchewan , canada... and..WOW!!!! THERE SO AWESOME!!! i will go again and again to see them
My votes #1- Rain #2- 1964 the Tribute #3- Fab Four. I`ve seen all three live and they all are very very good and very talented actors and musicians...
My dad David Leon stared in the original Beatlemania film back in 1981 as John Lennon. He was the second John as the other one is the head of the show. I really hope some people got to see him play in LA and New York cause he is the closest living thing you will ever get to the real one. He starred in the film when he was 23. Its been 30 years of grinding at his craft, he is amazing. The left handed bassist name is Allen he is one of dads close friends also amazing.
Joey Curatolo's son (Paul Curatolo) is also playing Paul in Rain at the age of 24. He started with the band in 2013 and he plays left handed bass.
These guys really are amazing. I saw them last night in New Jersey and all I can say is WOW!!! I would definitely see them again.
Saw them last week I really enjoyed it. They did a great job.
You guys are awesome!!! I recently went to one for my birthday!
I saw them live. To me the production is what makes them the best tribute band out there. It's an amazing show. If they didn't have the costume and style changes like they do they wouldn't be such a fabulous band
I went to see them 8 years ago, man I was so young! A chance to be with my Paulie
I freakin loved them when I went to go see them I was so amazed how they sounded just like them and it was just amazing :D
This April will be my 3rd "Rain" concert. Hands down, the BEST Beatles tribute band out there!
I went to their concert twice two summers in a row at Wolf Trap! It was INCREDIBLE! They look so much like The Beatles and their singing sounds just like them. I have been to Paul McCartney concerts too and I am going again this summer, but I prefer Rain concerts because it is just so amazing!!!! Love love love the Beatles.
Brilliant .
brilliant!
It took Billy several months to learn how to play electric bass left handed like James Paul McCartney. He always had played brass instruments in the Bonzo band. The fact that he could play Vivian Stanshall and McCartney concurrently with no one catching on is a testament of the brilliance of William Shepherd!
Saw it last night. ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT!! Probably not as glitzy as the Broadway show, but I love how they interacted with the audience. "Ringo" was the funniest. He held up a cuecard that said YELL AND SCREAM. We did. He held up an old record to show the kids what one looked like and described it as 2 CD's on 1 piece of vinyl. Spot on with the real Beatles' little character quirks. My voice is gone from all the "fangirl" screaming. Great birthday present!! I hope to do it again next year.
I JUST SAW THEM AN HOUR AGO!!!! =DDDDD They were INCREDIBLE!!! John looked soooo much like the real John and Paul sounded SO MUCH like the real one!!!
I am DEFINITELY going to another show!!
Saw "Rain" last night. They were great. What you have to understand is, the Rain show you see one night, will be different from the Rain show you see the next night. They are a corporation who interchange players constantly. The "Paul" we saw last night' father played "Paul" for Rain in the 1990's.
Saw them last night with 6 other people and everyone had a great time!
My wife and I saw them on a cruise about 19 years ago they were so good we went to both shows. We were not old enough to really experience the Beatles >This is as good as it is going to get
OOOOH!! This is how I remember the old Beatlemania!! Saw it twice on Broadway in '78. Phenominal doesn't do justice. They'll be here mid April and I'm gonna BEG my husband for tickets! YAAAY!!
i saw these dudes last year i loved it best time ever!
Rain has multiple versions of the Beatles members, one of the Pauls they have IS left handed. But the best Paul they have is right handed. His voice and mannerisms is exactly like the real Pauls.
saw them yesterday in baltimore.. they were amazing
I saw them five times. The first two was at Elmira. The third was in Utica. The forth was at Rochester. The fifth was at Williamsport.
I'm going to go see them on SATURDAY!!!! OMG im SSOOOOO excited !!!! :D
I saw this last weekend!!! It was one of the best things I've seen. It makes me sad I was a 90's child :(
I went to the show with my wife and 5 yr old daughter in Philly for their last performance. I went with a lot of the skepticism that many people are showing here. I don't blame them for it. It is their opinion. I will say this. They were fantastic. As long as you go in knowing that you are not going to see the Beatles, and just a tribute to them... I think you'd be hard pressed to find anyone come out of the theater sans smile.
love it how they change costumes for each time period
i went to go see them and they were sooo good!! i almost started crying because i felt like I was actaually at a Beatles concert!! and where i was sitting, they looked a lot like them! but when you get close enough you can tell that they don't really look like them
Beatleshow in Vegas are quite good also. They span the early to the later numbers, with all the correct instruments, voices, and costumes. So entertaining!
Its not a question of who is the best. We have a choice of many good Beatles tribute bands that we can enjoy :)
Personally, among the Beatles tribute bands you've showed at least, I think Rain was the best. Their vocals/harmonies and over sound was the most authentic to me. Interestingly, the bass player was right-handed. The Fab Four is definitely runner-up. Great presentation!!! Thanks for sharing.
Rain is good for what it is..a Broadway show basically, but in my opinion The Fab Four- The Ultimate Tribute- are more authentic in many ways.from vocals to having a real Liverpudlian in the band to costumes to Beatle-esque jokes and playing every era from the BBC to Abbey Road to Anthology and doing it all live,. Their George even learned sitar!
The Mahoney Brothers have been doing it also, since 1975. They were in the orginal Legends in Concert, but were playing long before that. One guy said he saw then 30 years ago at Six Flags Great Adventure in Atlantic City, and I know I've been going to see them since the late 70's, and they are the most excellent I've heard, but not only do they do 3 Beatle shows, they do many others including the Beach Boys.
Greatest Paul I've heard in a tribute, johns alright too.
geile Sache genau mein Alter!! unerreichbar ,super
I've seen them twice, last time at Fair Park Music Hall in Dallas around 2009. Great show, me and my 7 year old son loved them. He is a huge Beatles fan.
Paul has a great McCartney like voice, and please people,, GET OVER THE LEFT HANDED BASE crap, it's difficult enough finding look, sound and talent and then to have him play left handed?? COME IN NOW...
It was so amazing seen them in utah a year ago and ive studied the Beatles for years and years...they were so close man.
I saw Rain. They are good!
Some cover bands are actually pretty amazing. The attention to detail they pay to sound like the band they're covering added with the natural energy/own flair captured in a performance can make for a great show. I saw a different Beatle tribute band and was having the time of my life because it was simply music, pure music.
thank you !
this makes me want to see them even more! im so excited to see them in saskatoon on monday!!!
I'm going with my family to see them I'm so excited! :D
The actors looked just like the Beatles too, it was amazing
RAIN is awesome....
Rain thank you for your very good tribute to the Beatles. You have taken a page from the Fab Four by adding Mr. Sullivan. Rain never did that before, but it's all good!
Still the Fab Four are the pinnacle and best Beatles Tribute band to this day and for over a decade now. But you guys are top 5.
I wanted to listen to the song "rain"....
But this rain are extremely nice.
Their show was so worth seeing c': I cried so much at the fact that it really felt like you were at an actual Beatles concert c: And it was awesome that all ages were there :3
Rains been doing it since the 70`s.
Looked them up, Good stuff
The Paul guy needs to turn his guitar in the opposite direction.
Joey Curatolo tried left handed but said it messed with the integrity of the music so he went back to right handed. His son Paul Curatolo also plays Paul in Rain. He is 24 and plays left handed bass. I saw him in 2013 at one of his first shows and he was great. I thought it was Joey his father. I love Rain and The Fab Four but Rain is a bit more polished to me. Going to see them Feb. 7th in Austin. I wanted to see the Fab Four at The House Of Blues but after seeing Heart there I decided I didn't want to go back to that place. Very uncomfortable venue.
Paul is incredible..!
we seen them in concert 3 times the best tribute band!
I saw rain a few years ago, it was truly unforgettable :)
Amen to that!!
It's true what that guy says. People go see orchestras to listen to classical music that what composed a long ass time ago. This is the same thing. They are paying tribute to the greatest band ever! People just need to stop hating!!
There are literally hundreds of Beatles Tribute bands around the world. I was at Beatles Week in Liverpool a couple of years ago and saw some GREAT Bands......there was even an all girl Beatle Band from Japan, and they were brilliant. Have to say though as far as the Complete Show with lighting and visual effects and the sound and lookalikes it's hard to go past The Fab Four as the best Beatles tribute band.
I've heard "Rain" live in Baltimore, they are excellent. But if you want to hear the best, listen to "The Mahoney Brothers", from Pennsylvania. The are also knows as "LongLiveTheBeatles" and they do another show called "Juke Box Heroes". They play at Knoebels Amusement Park and Hershey Park in Pennsylvania every year. They also play in Atlantic City, and played at Hillary Clinton's birthday party. You can hear them for a week at Knoebels every summer for free.
I'been on their FIRST concert i LA/God bless you RAIN
I went to their concert when they performed in Los Angeles . You must go see them if you can , they are really good . And for those of you complaining that Paul is not a lefty don't be silly , he is an impersonator and he is inches from being the real Paul McCartney .
saw them last night in Knoxville. 'Paul' was playing left handed(except for Blackbird and Yesterday) which is crazy...the guy actually learned to play left handed, hes playing in this video rigt handed back in 2010
i saw this a couple hours ago IT WAS AWESOME
These guys are good as any other Beatle Band out there. Getting to be as many Beatle impersonators as there are Elvis impersonators.
