Good summary of the most certain lore we have. There is a lot of tenuous lore as well, but I understand that those might be a bit too uncertain. For example, the rumours of a Snow Elven mage sealing his soul in a Frost Atronach, or Wispmothers being a form of lichdom developped by the Snow Elves (and also used by others). Finally the high density of Snow Elven relics in Haafingar and Hjaalmarch, even during the Second Era. As well as a high density of "Snow Spirit"remnants along its eastern borders. With the turning of the Merethic to First Era's so long ago it is difficult to deduce what really happened.
I hadn't heard of the Wispmother idea, but it's very interesting - would love to know the source! For the Second Era, there's a possibility I've missed some stuff from ESO, but hopefully the rest is comprehensive
@@Blind-Moth ik this is an old comment but i believe the source is the ingame book 'the wispmother' "Some say they are ghosts, waiting to be laid to rest. Others, that they are all that remains of the Snow Elves who once ruled Skyrim" Also the Lost Legends book claims the pale lady (a wispmother) is ysgramor's ancient enemy named Aumriel. Wispmothers also literally have elf ears on their models.
Since bethesda confirmed that a winner of skyrims civil war will be revealed in es 6, implying its in the future, the story of that game may potentially be a quest to heal the falmer and restore them to their true selves!
Who gonna restore them and why? The Nord? They probably didn't know that their ancestor was responsible, albeit indirectly. The Thalmor? Very unlikely, because they want to claim godhood through eradication of the men and world towers. The Empire? Also very unlikely, what are they gonna do with the restored Snow Elves who didn't have any allegiance with any factions and probably didn't know how to adapt in this new world after long separated from their ancestor, history, culture, and even their own body. Knight-Paladin Gelebor himself? Most likely, but why, reclaim Skyrim as their homeland? He is probably bounded to the Chantry by Auri-El himself in a manner similar to the keeper of the Holy Grail, considering how absurdly old he was compared to other elven character, except if longevity is specifically Snow Elven racial trait.
Nice vid, good lore, did you rename the channel by any chance? if so what was the name of the old channel. I say this because i dont remember subscribing to your channel.
Legendary algorithm pull, thank you RUclips gods 🙏
Glad you enjoyed it!

Great video! Hopefully they can progress into a new more sentient race in the future
Would love to see them become a playable race - though I am not holding out too much hope!
Are you avarti?😊
