Castle Volkihar is amazing when you choose to become a vampire you can start an all out war in the place there’s so many essential NPC you can grind your combat skills fast in a challenging way
Thanks for this video ! 😊
I still think Molag Bal is the most evil Daedric Prince.
"Heads up everybody! The cloven feet of Tamrielic Ted Bundy are on the move!" Dagoth Ur
I like to imagine the Last Dragonborn joins the Stormcloaks, Ulfric becomes High King, just like Talos did for his High King, before his conquest of Tamriel. So you'll have Ulfric and the armies of Skyrim all extremely loyal to the Dovahkiin and basically seeing him as Talos reborn. Then you have the Voice Masters (Greybeards), also loyal to the Dovahkiin. Then you have the reformed Blades. Of course, the cherry on top: the dragons themselves! You defeated Alduin. In their eyes you are now The Elder. Those that don't see it that way and refuse to serve you: Bend Will shout! Which can then be used to pacify any naysayers all over Tamriel. So the Last Dragonborn takes the fight to the Aldmeri Dominion with the dragons at providing aerial support, and for every dragon slain by the enemy, you absorb their soul and become stronger. There's also Drunehviir - an undead dragon that can't be killed, even by a Dragonborn. He'll just re materialize in the Soul Cairn and will be summonable again. Also he has legions of Soul Cairn level undead at his disposal. Your Dragonborn can't be stopped! At the end of it, you take your place on the Ruby Throne - The Dragonborn Emperor reclaims his empire! I know it won't be the case in Elder Scrolls VI but it would be pretty cool all the same
No karma system or reputation system. Who cares, right?
3:20 wait...say that again

namira is such an interesting prince
This monologue and cadence of the narrator is just like drewmora, formerly of fudgemuppet. Albeit not my cup of tea, good job with this video and good luck to this channel.
Noti gang 🔔 Love the content, very underrated
sanguine is the coachman from pinocchio
From a purely in-game perspective, as interesting as their history is, any sympathy I might have had for the Forsworn went out the window the minute a party of them jumped me while I was just minding my own business trying to get from point a to point b
We will not be swayed by which propaganda, long live the Empire
Vampyr is the best vampire game ever made
I'm such a boring fark. I don't really want to be either a werewolf or a vampire. I keep the werewolf because of the disease/poison resists.
Excellent video and very fun to listen to. You've earned a sub from me.
As it happens, some game versions of vampirism are heavily nerfed from canon versions. The easiest example for me is Volkihars because I've looked at it most. In gameplay it can be very strong with a few drawbacks you can mostly fix by enchanting. In canon it's far more of a powerful bloodline. Vampires in general are supposed to be incredibly fast but it doesn't appear in Skyrim, with them moving at normal speed. The physical strength is such that Harkon is mentioned as having outright torn a man in half with his hands, and the Dragonborn is implied to have either equal or nearly the same, with Harkon investing a portion of his own power to turn him. There's also one member of the clan who admits to previously having been a normal warrior or even lackluster, but is so much stronger as a vampire that (not knowing about the lycanthropy) she believes she could kill all the Companions herself, which would be superhuman physical prowess even assuming them to be normal warriors. Even in gameplay, the Dawnguard attacking castle Volkihar can easily have members die while using items specifically made to fight vampires with, demonstrating that even with player help and special equipment, the gameplay-nerfed vampires are actually stronger. There's also the generic enemy called Volkihar Vampire, which is level 48 just as a nameless NPC, and that's rather high level by Skyrim standards. Those aren't even the significant ones, implied to be more mediocre clan members. Between the many scattered hints and clues, Volkihars canonically add up to be super fast, strong like bears, extremely resilient, and have pretty powerful innate magic to them even if we assume the reaching through ice mentioned in writing is a myth. There's modding you can find which can enable changing gameplay to reflect how they're suggested to actually be, and if you use it you get a character who just about can't be killed. Reasonably, The absurd power of the Dragonborn with Auriel's Bow along with Florentius also being a superhuman due to magic is likely the only reason the Dawnguard path of killing them all could possibly happen. The gargoyle guardians would easily match the trolls, death hounds are more dangerous than huskies, and most of the Dawnguard members are often concerned with dying on their hunts even of normal vampires, while the Volkihars basically just focus on growing more powerful over time and consider them pests.
I’m going to make a case for Meridia, being born of the aether which is a higher plane of existence compared to Oblivion and having an aedric nature makes her seemingly very effective against other Daedra, we see this quite often in ESO, the Dawnbreaker which is a mere aspect of her power was warding off Nocturnal’s shadows and also the power of Mephala There’s also the fact that it was used to purge Nocturnal’s influence over transparent law, despite Nocturnal being further amplified by the heart and the tower serving as an extension of her very sphere. We also have the lights of meridia, an aspect of her power, which if used improperly, would destroy the entirity of Nirn. We also have the planemeld, not only did she hold off Molag Bal inside his very own Planar Vortex, she did so while simultaneously imposing her will on his sphere, protecting and warding an entire city with her divine magic, keeping it as a safe haven within Coldharbour itself, a realm even Molag Bal could not influence. During the events of summerset, the tried (nocturnal, Clavicus vile and Mephala) all attempted to invade the coloured rooms. We do not see what actually happened, but we know the invasion failed, as the lesser Daedra that did not escape were round up and purified afterwards, to hold your own against 3 powerful Daedric princes in any circumstance has to be seen as impressive On the topic of her realm, this was created in an act of divine will, the other princes opposed to the idea of meridia living there, could seemingly do nothing to stop her from carving out her own sphere in the void of oblivion, via bending the very light of Magnus itself. We also have numerous sources that state she has imposed her will on the realm of Akatosh itself, the time god Just thought she deserved a mention.
If so scary, why cut in half by sword?
Oblivion did vampires better my best character was a Breton vampire who was basically a magic god
The high elf is the best in magic
@dominicboivin-chauvette1248 as a vampire build weakness against Magicka and fire makes the high elf's double weak against fire. That Breton was just my favorite vamp build in ES. Usually go dark elf the magic, sword, bow combo anyway variety is spice of life
@dominicboivin-chauvette1248 in oblivion bretons absorb magic cast at them to replenish magic
Wish they would do an entire zone with the gothic type classic monster schtick. Ala Ravenloft, Darkshire etc.
Greymore was solid too
Honestly the Volkihar in Dawnguard were disappointing, none of the unique possibilities that were hinted at in Immortal Blood and the vampire lord transformation was underwhelming, visually a knockoff of the underworld movies and in terms of game play not particularly interesting and lacking in a vampire feel.
Skyrim, or Elder Scrolls as a whole, is not a scary game. But the lore implication can be quite dark and disturbing
Vampires in lore: 😈 Vampires in game: 🥺
This video makes me want to do a werewolf play through
Leaving a positive comment for the algorithm gods
Binging all of your videos I’m very impressed
"And you thought i was just another pretty face"
I hate Molag Bal.
All my homies hate Molag Bal
if I have divine power, I'll def fold him and his realm
@thatoneguyinthemiddle1910 Well, there's the Vigilant mod. You get to join the Vigil of Stendarr and beat the shit out of Molag Bal.
Subscribed.
Forsworn are Irish. Despite English trying to civilize them they will always stab in the back and run away to dwell in marshes like savages.
Thanks for this. Quite interesting.
Wow great video and very articulate
If only Bethesda's gameplay could live up to their lore I might take this video more seriously, but let's be honest, most of these words are just that, words. A vampire doesn't actually need to feed. It also doesn't have to bite to pass the disease, doing so most often through the use of blood magic. And as powerful as they think they are, their true curse is hubris. Even the basic magics and weapons wielded by 2 or 3 of the Vigilants of Stendarr can best most of them.
Yes, and when the guy shows off in Dawnguard I was severely underwhelmed. In exchange for living like a douche I can look hideous on command? Er... no.
I like the video, but I don’t understand how “everything they told (me) about the forsworn was a lie” I read the same books as you, all of this lore is in the games, I don’t get how this was hidden? Am I missing something? You’re just telling me the lore of the forsworn…
I'm more of a werewolf kind of guy
Ugh, you smell like wet fur
In eso we see how Lamae came to be while it is no excuse for her later actions its so terribly sad and why she is the way she is understandable.
This really makes me wanna make a undead hunter like a Merida champion build as a redguard or something lol
I feel like building a vampire knight
@ that’s lowkey fire 🔥
That actually sounds really fun. You may have just given me an idea lol
@ I know right for role playing you can start off as a warlocks thrall finding your own purpose.
gotta do werewolves next
They're modern american college liberals
Listening to the intro story, all I could think was "If only they could find a hawk feather to eat..." 🤔
I feel like sanguine could easily be the creator of vampires and werewolves too
Reacmen are my personal favourite in TES. I live their vibes, epic culture and looks. A pity you can't really join them and help them to reclaim their lands.
You make us sound like the bad guys. Vampires can be heroes too.
But the question is, who you suckin?
this is why i always carry garlic bread
... a lot of garlic. Garlic up to your ass.
Yum 😋
All the horror in the games is somewhat negated by the shrinking of the maps almost everywhere you can just with a Brisk walk get to the nearest town at get a blessing. I realy think a elderscroll game that realy focuses on Vampires could be great. Just take one City make it its canonical sice than dot some towns around it. Than just a low stakes Story. Peopel in the outer edges of the Thifedom disappear and return as blood crazed Vampires. The Player from the start can choose to be a vampire or a Hunter. Fasttravel location are fixed and you need to travel to the waypoint. Which get shut Dow or activated if your fraction looses ir gains controll. So if you play as a hunter beeing in an lost part will requier more Prepration to Not become a vampire. And vampires have a Problem finding hidingspots for daytime. As a Vampire you are the fledling lord You hunt bandits and others turn then to vampires or Undead until you can conquer towns an spread your vampiric influenc. In the end you besieg the City break througth and kill the Population until the imperial legion Shows up and ends your reign. As a hunter you try to convince peopel to quarantine in the City or kill them to stop the spread and cut the vampires off. while also try to stop vampiric corruption in the city themselfs. In the end the City is besiegen and how many citizens die is determint in how Well the defenses are prepared and how much damage you inflicted on the vampires. In the worse case Szenario you PC dies defending the Temple of Arkay while the Imperial army counterattacks the vampires. Make this an 4 hour campange and you have a great gameplayloop. Dosent even need two endings. Just one Montage with sligth diffrenc if you PC killed the enemy hero or Not and if they died or Not. Abd a screen that gives you a score of how much the Population was destroyed abd how much corruption was spread. I realy say it dosent need something fancy just focus and a nice gameplay loop
Does anyone else find it kind of weird that you can feed from someone without waking them up? That doesn't even make sense. I know if someone pierced my neck I would wake up pretty fast
It could be similar to how mosquitos bite, in that a numbing agent is secreted from the vampire's fangs to make the victim not notice until much later
@@Drakorvichthat and in older vampire stories they have an aura that just prevents you from waking up. look at the most recent film Nosferatu he flat out casts a spell that prevents a womans husband from waking up.
Even without their trance aura or the fangs numbing the area I know people that could definitely sleep straight through getting drank upon in their sleep
You’d be surprised what people can sleep through however I agree with everyone else that it might be a supernatural element outside of the typical seduction spell. We know “Our blood grants us power to calm and relax” - Vingalmo. However, when we feed in Skyrim as you said usually they stay right asleep however, I don’t know if it happened to anyone else but I found when I feed on the Companions like Aela and Farkas they would be aware. So that also lends credence that it’s an innate element that other supernatural beings might be able to resist to a degree.
@@ausinasmith96i definitely could ngl😂
Therefore always keep some garlic bread in your inventory. Garlic bread heals vampirism in its early stages. What does it matter that the locals think you are a garlic loving breton, you are vampirism free!
Hunger is only realy a problum for lesser vampires Pure blood and those who have A Demi god like status on a base level such as the dragonborn will not go mad. Serana valerica and harkon realy dont need to feed ever. It can help them in serten situations but the potentsy of their own life blood can sustain them indefinetly. Valerica was traped in the soul carn for probably close to 5000years and never fed once cuzz theres nothing to feed on. Dragonborn them selfs have powerfull and potent blood even beffor becomeing a vampire. So they are prity much in the same boat as a pure blood. These 2 cases of pure blood and dragonblood are the exeption to the rule and not the norm by any means. as a side note i know people give the skyrim shit for the vigilant of stendar not attacking u in game. However i beleve its intentional. They serve stendar a god meaning htey likely have member who commune with him. U are a divine insterment a Dragonborn vampire or not. i beleve they are told To stay their hand agienst u unless its nessisary to fight. The dragonborn is honor bound to keep evil forever at bay. And dipending on ur interpritation of that u may become a vampire to do just that.
You need an English book, not blood. Lol
Don't worry too much. I still understood what you said. You will be better, thanks for sharing.
Fer tha lerve erf gawd, pleeze goh beyack tew skewl.
@@andrewrichter3185 I love childish people like ur self. It shows how mature they are that this is a big deal for them.
@@andrewrichter3185 U realy are a child arnt u? my spelling is eating u up this bad?
As someone who is extremely pro-vampire in elder scrolls games, I love this video. It's probably top three of all the elder scrolls vampire videos I've seen. I love the style of narration and the inclusion of all the references such as immortal blood and the vampire nightmares. Spot on
The Elder Scrolls gets Vampirism so right. Particularly Vampirism’s history in Skyrim.
can you link the other two ?
@PapaRunebeard ruclips.net/video/sWnPkbR6DPU/видео.htmlsi=5Qj4X4ehRQt5K-My Give me a moment to get the other one, but this one I think is very good.
