Add in that the divorce may never end, you might end up in an endless situation where you have to pay the other side and never get to move on with your life. I have 2 children with a girlfriend of 12 years who did not understand why I refused to marry. I simply showed her the alimony and child support calculation spreadsheet our state uses. Brett's point at around 3:45 is so powerful. The longer you spend being single building your own life apart from a spouse, the more difficult it becomes to join that life with someone else that has done the same. You're trying to mix two very independent people at that point, both of whom will be much less willing to change to become a new person in this new situation.
    I got married at 25 and have been married for 23 years. I am not even close to being the same person I was back then. Just about the only things about me that have stayed are my faith and my sense of humor. So much of what I want out of life, what I do in my life, has been defined by the life my wife and I have built together. That's how it should be.

    “Women mature faster than men”…define “mature”. This is the most non-sensical claim that continues to spread. I’ll define mature in the following way: the more future-oriented a person’s approach to life is, the more mature the person is. The most mature individuals you will ever encounter (at any age: 20, 25, 30, 40, etc) are entrepreneurial men who are in relationships and are focused on leading themselves and their wife/girlfriend to long-term Eudaimonia. This is an inherently masculine quality. Not all males are like this (only the most mature), but no females are like this.

    • @jonnnybravo4092
      @jonnnybravo4092 Месяц назад

      "mature" means whatever women are at the moment. If women want to sleep around and chase jocks while guys want to play games? Then sleeping around is more "Mature". But when men reach that same mindset and women are now looking for a retirement plan its no longer mature to sleep around. Its just gaslighting and thats it.

    • @claudeyaz
      @claudeyaz Месяц назад +13

      A lot of that saying is sort of like an under the breath comment on how women's bodies mature quicker, and they are exposed to things like Wolf whistling or being treated like a sexualized woman, years before men get that kind of reaction to their bodies ...
      I had a friend who had large assets, and when we were walking down the street as middle schoolers, we will get people whistling at us, and pulling over and asking us what are plans were for the weekend, they thought we middle schoolers were college kids I guess? Or they were just super perverts..
      Another thing is a lot of girls ages 14 to 17, they are convinced that their first boyfriend will settle down with them, and that they will get married... And when that guy will inevitably break up with her, because that was his first gf, people just comfort girls by telling them that the "guy isn't mature yet."
      When in reality they just don't tell the girls it was silly to think that there first boyfriend with them

    • @claudeyaz
      @claudeyaz Месяц назад +2

      And also you said yourself it was Entreprenelar men, that's a small percentage of men...
      And nowadays a lot of those men, are just going at it alone, because they just can't be bothered to find a good woman because of how hard they are to find, or people just keep looking in the wrong places..
      Of course guys who are able to support themselves and have a business are the most, but there aren't a lot of guys like that nowadays.
      And there are a group of them, who thinks they are the smartest in the room, so they end up sabotaging themselves.
      But yeah they go out on it alone, because finding a good woman is hard, &, the consequences of finding the wrong one are way too high for people in business
      A good woman isn't ever going to be going out club..

    • @claudeyaz
      @claudeyaz Месяц назад +1

      @@user-hn9qw7ou8d That's why I explained to you how the word is used in vernacular, it's used to comfort women.. And mature doesn't mean in this case, better at supporting oneself, but I think the way they use the word mature, it's self realization of how other people see you physically..
      So women mature quicker, because they become self aware of how they are seen in the eyes of others, and are able to use that to their advantage..while men Make easy marks until they are older, because they mature slower in that way..
      Like that story that went viral recently, about a guy who agreed to impregnate an older woman, and somehow he is surprised that she tried to ruin his life...
      large majority of women would see those red flags, because they are exposed to those types of schemes at a much younger age than men are...
      So instead of Using the word mature, it would be preferable if they used a word like Self-realization, or, That they learn to harness that?
      It's really hard to put it into words you're right.
      Do you see what I'm saying here, I'm not disagreeing with your point, I'm just trying to explore exactly what it is that makes people say women mature quicker..
      A lot of it does come with many girls having friends that are dating much older men, and they just get exposed to a lot of realities through those immature friends who are getting exploited by an older man..
      But many guys, in high school, are very goofy, and when you compare that goofiness, to what a lot of girls act like in school, it's again not surprising...
      So maybe it just has to do with numbers, and generalizations.. Yes young men who are entrepreneurial seem like are the most mature, but since those guys aren't in very large numbers.. the largest group of people who seem mature on the outside, especially when compared to their peers, would be women.
      But just like all generalization, they don't tell the full story

    Counterpoint to men getting married at a young age- Most men aren't nearly as secure or confident in their 20s as they are in the 30s or older. It's going to be really hard for most men to have successful marriages in their 20s nowadays. Biblical marriage isn't really about 2 people meshing their lives. It's about a man taking a woman to be his wife, and her deciding to submit to him. He agrees to protect and provide for her, and she agrees to get on his program. Their roles in the relationship are very different. That's why a 10-20 year age gap works best for most men now. They've had more time to get established, and the woman has had less time to become a pain in the ass.
    Unfortunately modern western society teaches women from a very young age that they don't need men, and shouldn't submit to them.

    You need to talk about the birth rates only as the number of women and daughters (half the birth rate). Women are the limiting factor here as long as enough men exist for genetic diversity. So in South Korea, 100 women will have 35 daughters, those 35 will grow up to have 12 daughters, who will then have only 4. Three generations and basically South Korea is empty.

    They're the same risk assessment choices based on the same factors. I don't need to be told marriage is a special promise and bond two people make with each other. It doesn't need to be explained through theology to understand the concept and benefits. ...ask the billions of people in Asia..

    11:10 this is the females perspective at all. A lot and imo at least 50 who have babies know they will be taken care more financially and benefit from a divorce in some way. It’s much easier for them bc deep down they now this income now earned wasnt really earned. It’s an easy way to make some money and have a roof over my head so the cost analysis to them is okay and they love their children. Not know the children are most affected bc we’re seeing after a few generations of this we have more masculine women and more feminine men.
    Bring back the days where if you had a child your life was no longer about you. It’s about the kids. All this well even tho I have kids I can still have a life non sense needs to go. Sorry that life is over. People take advantage of what, especially in America, made it great. It was through hard work and sacrifice. Most don’t even know exactly what all went into this and the people in power who do know won’t stop the ignorance of people either. America is now in a much faster decline and so many people don’t understand the family dynamic and natural order of things plays a huge part in it, if not the biggest part. Politics of one side being our downfall is dumb bc both sides are to blame. Like I’ve said in other places this shift and decline has been coming for the last 60 years. There’s plenty of mistakes on both sides that opened up Pandora’s box and its can’t be closed now bc it would be considered illegal. Imo they better just makes things legal to do and adjust or it will only get worse. Certain huge laws need to be overturned and new ones regarding peoples freedoms need to be taken away. One of the biggest lies in society is that freedom means you can do whatever you want. That needs to start including the top percent and people in power

    I think Brett is great and on point with almost everything but what frustrates me is that she is always talking about young people getting together and dating/marrying, but then turns around and marries a guy 7 years older in her low twenties.

      @@Hokies2022 Yes, men should be building themselves and their life for a few years and then somewhere between 28-35 or so should be looking for someone younger to start a family with. It's worked since before recorded history, it works pretty much everywhere in the world today. It's pretty much only areas overrun by delusional feminists who claim it doesn't work despite all of the evidence to the contrary that don't do it that way... Don’t listen to modern day bullshit advice. Start looking for your future wife NOW. You need to build your life TOGETHER.
      I was 21 when I married my wife. She was 20. Best decision ever. Were we “ready”? Hell no. But we made it work TOGETHER. How do I know she was the one? Because she didn’t give a DAMN that we weren’t ready.
      20 years later, we’re still going strong with two teenage boys and financially better off than most.
      Most people these days don’t know what the hell they’re talking about.

      Western marriage literally came from religion.
      The early Christians codified the marriage rule very early and the idea of him loving the wife and her submitting to him, for life, and creating children and raising them, was extremely integral in literally re-building the demographics of the Roman Empire.
      The idea that religion has nothing to do with marriage is plain nonsense.
      Every marriage, in every culture, is intrinsically connected to that culture and its religion.

Too many fluctuations in speed and pitch; nor does she enunciate enough. A woman should NOT know herself. She should be conditioned to follow her husband lead and learn to choose a man worthy of her faith in him. No, the word partner should be stricken from the language when it comes to relationships. There is no match. It is an insult to a man. He's has to be physically stronger, emotionally more stable, more intelligent and wiser than his wife. Her recognizing this is how she honors and respects him. She should be selfless. Her interests take a back seat to his, her focus should be on him, not the kids, not her job, her world should revolve around his needs.
