I color paper with my grandson when he's hear and we just use Crayola Waterbased Markers and my glass matt. He scribbles on the matt with the markers, we spray it with water and then dip in the papers--can lay the whole sheet down or he likes to dip parts in then let dry and do another batch. He loves doing this and making wax seals. Thanks for sharing your process, I love how your papers came out!
@kandiboyer I have to say, I LOVE THIS!! I have used those markers, and I love them, but the thought of you enjoying precious time with your grandson in this way, makes my heart smile. So much fun to let them play, and the outcome is a treasure. 😊💖💕
I really love your water colour papers. Thank you for explaining how you created them and showing the results. I always love the way you explain how things look in detail as often we can't see exactly how things really look. ❤Wendy
No worries, you explaining the process works, as deleting the video sounds like something I'd do, lol, and the papers came out awesome when done. 🥰 Was working on junk mail envelopes for my journal all morning, love how they're coming out, loosely following one of your videos from a couple weeks ago. 😊I had to take a break and get some actual cleaning done. Was in my closet, almost done in there, when through clothes to donate one more time, so think I'm good there, then hope to get the envelopes done to the point of taking a couple pictures to send to you. 📷📸📷 Enjoy the rest of your day Christy!! 💜💜💜
I love making all types of dyed papers.😊 In the style that you are showing here I used to make coffee dyed papers. Crumble them up and then add metallic gold paint to some coffee and drip it in. Oh my goodness it comes out beautiful - Thank you and have a wonderful day xx
@CraftedByChristyShop beautiful for sure. I've never tried kool-aid. But cake decorating gel is another fabulous strong dye. Hobby lobby. 1$ each. So I bought a few. Work great!!
Great video even if you didn’t show the process your papers showed how successful it was and your explanation was great. I love to crumple up deli paper that I coffee dye into a ball and give it a few days to dry and the texture is such a fine crackle type with the coffee stains in the crevices and gives it a cool texture and look. I’ve seen others use food coloring but your liquid watercolors did a lot of nice looks. It must be highly pigmented. Another favorite of mine is the avocado dying that makes pretty pink papers. Thanks for sharing a fun way to make bright colored papers. 😊
I'm so glad you liked it! I love coffee dying too! I tea dyed some wax paper during the summer, and the sound, and texture is amazing! I'll definitely try crumpling it this year. I have avocado skins in the freezer, but I haven't tried them yet. I can't wait. Thank you so much, my friend 🧡 😊💖💕
Such a great idea to use already tea dyed papers and add your colour choice..... could do this to tea dyed book pages and envelopes too if making a colour themed journal. ❤Wendy
Christy, I didn't know about the powdery stuff! Even though I'm not new to junk journaling, I've never used that way to dye my papers. Thanks for sharing! ❤️
@kellyhards8828 that's wonderful!! Thank you. I appreciate you letting me know, so much. I always feel like I'm preaching to the choir. So, that makes me feel better to know, not everyone knows,, thank you😊💖💕
Beautiful Papers ! Thanks for the koolaid idea. I thought about water and finger paints maybe. And Christy you make me laugh ! Hugs to you and Navy ❤😊❤
I took gesso to red color paper and i loved how the red reacted as i have alot of red and other color papers from a thrift store. Loved the video to see what you are doing...😊😊😊😊
I think your papers are beautifully colored. I've been watching Tim Holtz video lately over and over on distress sprays both oxides and inks. One thing I got out of it is paper matters. IDK much about paper but I got nice color using dye for Easter eggs. When I tried the spritz by Tim I got a metallic effect. Experimenting is fun and how we find out what works for us. Thanks for sharing your papers and your ideas on what you did.
@dorisandujar8277 his new spritzer are metallic, I may have to spray some of that on too! Thank you for reminding me. I agree, about paper matters. I forget that,, thank you!😊💖💕

I love experimenting with dying paper too! So fun. 😊
Me too, it's so much fun to see what color combinations you come up with! 😊💖💕never know what's going to happen

@wendymontgomery9837 thank you sweet Wendy!😊💖💕
Gorgeous papers. Great ideas for adding color to aldeady dyed paper. Playing with your grandchild would be so fun. Happy creating.
Thank you!😊💖💕
Theses are beautiful Christy. Lots of lovely papers, I think the purple and pinks ones are my favourites
@@alifranklin8102 I'm not a link and purple fan, but I agree! Those are so pretty. Thank you😊💖💕

You have many nice papers, I love the purple ones☺
@karver3440 oh, thank you!😊💖
I liked this idea! I have also done this sort of thing using food coloring. It's less expensive and very vivid.
@readmartin9148 oh man, why didn't I think of that! I have lots of food coloring. Thank you😊💖💕
Very pretty papers. I've never used liquid watercolors before. Sound pretty.
@@bette-annflood835 they are, but I need to get used to how strong they are. I probably should have added more water. Thank you😊💕💖

I used reinkers, oxides and a few from stamping up. I don't have many sprays.
