This was a great trip out to the river. Nice to go light on gear for once! Bank fishing for GAR is an amazing past time and GAR meat is a delicacy. HOPE YOU ENJOY
This is the BEST gar recipe ever:
Mix filets in Mayo and Texas Pete
Mix in Flour
Pinch or two of Salt
Fry in peanut oil for 5-9 minutes (depending on thickness of filets)
EAT. Then wish you had some more.
