When I was a kid I had a shitty abusive friend who had Walker as a neighbor. Walker was her favorite. Well, one day Walker moved out of her town and she was so distressed: but he had moved into mine. Moved right outta her town into mine. I checked years later, and he's still in my town in Wild World.
This is why I love Walker.

Eh, it’s not really abnormal for kids to have “crushes” on personified animals anyway. That kind of categorization is fairly blurred in your younger years - in the same way that a small child might think the weather is affiliated with their or someone else’s emotions, a child will basically see the human-like attributes and assume that the character is meant to be like a human in the end, or at least it isn’t being countered by the social taboo of beastiality yet.
Tom was one of my favourite he was one my starting villagers in new leaf while he not the most popular villagers ever like Bob or Rosie I do say he had a decent fans that like him

when i was a kid, i had one of the penguins in my town and he said something about us being really good friends. so naturally, i fell in love. i wrote him letters confessing my previously unknown but now freshly awoken love for him. and when he didnt say it back, because his ai wouldnt allow him the depth in emotion i craved at 10, i became so embarassed i restarted my game and never thought about him again.

Chief is indeed a sweetheart. I have him on my island, and every now and again, I'll find him singing to my flowers, sometimes stopping to water them before resuming his little concert to the flowers. He's so cute 🥺

I played City Folk every day for two years straight to both water my flowers obsessively and keep Kiki in my town. For all I know (and choose to believe) she’s still there now.

Hearing all these animal crossing love stories brought back memories of when I used to play Wild World as a kid and would aggressively stalk Benedict. I would go to his house all the time and sent him love letters every day. I got to the point in the relationship where he would have hearts above his head when talking to me. I also used to send him red roses in the letters cos I heard it made characters fall in love with you. It kinda worked cos he stayed much longer than any of my other villagers but eventually he left and I was so sad :(

Me: Got Marshall in my game out of pure luck without even knowing at the time that he was a special character(had Merengue in my starting game too, didn't really like her at first). Would talk to him, thought he was flirting with me, went on dates to my house and his house, he gave me his flat screen TV as a gift, gave him gifts in the mail, got a gift from him on Valentine's day... THAT WAS MY WHOLE BOYFRIEND!

I remember when Moe moved into my village. I was completely obsessed with him (I still am after 6-7 years), I would sprint to his house constantly and talk to him. I'd always check in on him and walk with him wherever he went. I have his birthday memorized and I always found things he would like and stored them till he asks for something. I am proud to say he still lives in my village and yes, I have a picture of him in my New Leaf house. (I also adore Apollo with all of my heart and I would honestly die for him without any hesitation whatsoever-)

I do had a theory that Tom and Moe are brothers with Tom begin the oldest as he is a cracky villagers and Moe begin the youngest having a lazy personality they similar to each other they both wear the same shirt city forks-pocket camp in April fools Moe say he is youngest of the five siblings and Tom is the second of the qurdruplets so there is a chance there they are part of the same family and Moe preferred theme is sporty which contrast to his personality,but Tom he was a former junior bantamweight boxer in his bio.

Right so I played new leaf on my friends DS and I sorta had a thing with O’Hare and Groucho, but neither of us played for a while and O’Hare moved away. His letter to everyone else was typical for animal crossing but his letter to my character was so sad I almost cried...

Ok... so I don't have a love story, but... my 13-year old self thought it would be a good idea to send Mitzi vulgar, sexually charged letters. Cut to seven years later when I decide I want to share an ACGC town with some online friends by sending the save data back and forth through email. Mitzi moves into this shared town after I visited my original ACGC town with my new character.
It just so happens that villagers will bring letters they've received along with them and will show them off to residents of the new town. I know this because a week after she moved in she showed it to MY character. So what I'm saying is, that my online friends may have seen a letter where I told Mitzi to * car horn * my * seal honk * gay * spongebob dolphin noise *. My friends never said anything about it and I am still mortified to this day.

In Wild World I had Pierce and Apollo in my town. Their interactions with each other were absolutely hilarious. I don't know what happened there, but I never have witnessed similar interactions with any other villagers of their character types again.

Marina was legit my best friend, and I also kept her from moving a few times. Eventually she did leave, and I legit cried. Hard. My parents thought something, you know, serious happened. I was afraid of becoming friends with people again after that, but eventually Nan moved to my town. And I became friends with her. Thankfully (?) my DS stopped working before she could leave my town...

A couple of days after I got new leaf I went to the beach with my brother and being white got the sunburn of my life. While I was in utter agony I started to relate to the dog in bandages walking around my town. He’s been my favorite ever since and he just moved into my acnh island

storytime: When I was younger, I was in love with Skye. I thought she was the cutest thing in the world, and I always talked to her, gave her thousands of presents, wrote letters, etc. I would always check up on her. But then my sister borrowed my DS, and after a month I got it back. When I logged on, I checked my mail, as usual, and I got a letter from Skye. I didn't think it was anything bad. But then I opened it, and my heart shattered. Skye decided she wanted to move away while I wasn't there. I was very sad and mad, So I took my anger out on the rest of the villagers there like Hippeux, Graham, and Pippy. After a while, a new villager moved in: Blanche. I didn't like her at first, but after a while, she became my favorite villager. And then Bertha and Julian moved in, who I immediately became good friends with. I also started trying to be nicer to Pippy, and she's also one of my favorite villagers now! Recently, Blanche moved away, but I wasn't as sad as I was when Skye moved since I dealt with these situations in the past, but I still saved her goodbye mail. I still see Skye on the streets sometimes, and I still wish she never moved. But sometimes you have to let someone go...
Ok ngl animal crossing (mostly Bob and in new horizons Raymond) brings out my inner yandere and I go ham. Like I remember I tryed to get agnes out of my town because I saw her talking to bob once
