I love gear reviews & ‘best of’ lists. Great video, thanks for the info. Cheers to lots of miles & smiles and a better year ahead for all of us!!
Thanks, Ryan! We appreciate your viewership.
Great vid. I also LOVE the MSR stove kit. Bought that this year and it's amazing. Need to check out that headlight as well. I've been looking for a new one.
This might sound silly, but have empty tea bag pouches that I put my coffee of choice in them. And use them just like steeping your tea. They don't take up space and are lite
Sniped a Smith Network last spring for $110 CAD and ive absolutely loved it.
Just joined the Collective. Love your work!
Thanks for the support, Pedro!
hey Der, the ruby roaster instant coffee is a great idea on my shopping list!!
Joined well worth it for the journal alone
A better helmet in my opinion is the Bontrager Circuit from Trek, comes with MIPS, and two light mounts. You have to use their Bontrager lights but their lights are really good took. The back light secures nicely with a magnet and snap in lock. The top of the helmet has a light/gopro mount and comes with the adapter to use their lights. $130 for the helmet
New camera? I'm noticing a shallower depth of field than previous videos. Nice! Love it
It could be just a new lens...
@@John-ej8ur Could be. Lens lens with wider aperture, or new full-frame camera/new lens combo. @bikepacking.com What I'd like to see is a roundup of the latest bags to carry a small camera on rides
HI, could you tell me what sunglasses you're wearing at 9:55? Thank you!!!
You could make peeling potatoes an entertaining topic!
Carbo rocket is another awesome fuel for cycling. Each serving is 333 calories and it is way tastier than tailwind. Plus it's a Utah brand! Woo woo!
My Favourite Grip Ergon GA3
I have stayed away from tubeless mostly because I change tires frequently also. I might try again if I have a fancy pump to be able to seat them at home. Do you somehow save the wet sealant? Or is it new sealant every time you change tires? Thanks
I’ll recycle as much as I can, typically just putting the old sealant back in the sealant bottle. Then I’ll mix it up before I add to the new set up.
Use a big plastic syringe to recover good sealant!
What are those sandals that you're wearing?.....
Great work by the way!!!
Bedrock Sandals! I love them and they even make socks to fit but I have yet to get those. Check it: bikepacking.com/gear/bedrock-cairn-adventure-sandals/
@@BIKEPACKINGcom thanks for replying 👍
Tell us more about the patch on the Outer Shell frame bag! ;)
We'll be selling a handful of those soon... members will get an email when they're available. Probably not until late January/early Feb, though. We're waiting for shipping issues to clear up ...... COVID + Holidays.
@@BIKEPACKINGcom did you just use fabric glue to get the patch on? If so, is it staying on well? Or did you stitch it? I'm tempted to put a patch on my bag, but worried the glue won't really hold
@@murf250 Badge Magic... it's great!! I've used it on several bags with no issues of the patches coming off. amzn.to/2JCJNle
@@BIKEPACKINGcom thank you! I never heard of that stuff, looks way easier and tidier than glue!
is that venturemax drop bar?
Correct, XL.
The Fenix BC21R v2.0 seems like exactly what I want, but unfortunately it's been discontinued
I’m trying to get my hands on this one. www.fenix-store.com/fenix-bc30-v2-0-bike-light/
@@BIKEPACKINGcomThe BC30 v2 looks powerful but the thing I notice is that unlike the BC21R it doesn't have a charging port. So I would have to take along a separate charger instead of say, plugging a powerbank directly into the light.
@@cheeselottery Ahh, good catch, thats a shame. I purchased 10 18650 batteries a while back, so that light would work for me, I would just need to replace instead of charge. looks like this outlet has them for $90 www.highendbikediscount.com/products/fenix-bc21r-v2-0-led-bike-light?variant=32742476349486¤cy=USD&
if anyone still reading this - the light isn't discontinued, it's just out of stock. I just got off the phone with a rep; should be back in 2-3 weeks. www.fenixlighting.com/product/fenix-bc21r-v2-bike-light/
@@anyakamenskaya3798 Oh that's good. Their email to me was unambiguous but if they've changed their minds or something I'm glad
Do you have any videos about solo bike packing and getting over the fear of being alone in the woods? Or maybe fear of animals?
Great idea as I do that a lot, I’ll work up an outline.
@@BIKEPACKINGcom thank you so much!
Instant coffee?! Bloody disgrace 😜
Thanks for the vid!
Yup the Pocket Rocket kicks ass. But i found another tiny stove for under £7, $9? on e-Bay. Just as good. Water up to a litre in under 4 minutes. I have subbed the channel.
Link?
pro tip: go to an Asian grocery store for instant 3-in-1 instant vietnamese coffee.
Videos are good, but please work on sound levels. Wearing headphones is painful with the sound levels going up randomly
Can you PLEASE format the auto captioning into closed captioning to make it far more accessible and inclusive to everyone?
Huh?
@@troycarpenter3675 I'm Profoundly Deaf dude, the caption is very hard to read as it is.
Turn it on, and turn off the volume, and you'll see what I mean.
@@edscoble harmless joke bro. I have trouble hearing myself. Have a great day!
Make the video shorter...with more content..
Check my new stuff.
Please use grams and not ounces. The vast majority of viewers use that. At worse use both...
I prefer ounces
OH MY GOD....non stop ads..abs bollocks...very dissapointed..grrr
One every ten minutes. I gotta pay rent somehow. Sorry to disappoint.
Very Good bro.
