Hehe, still new to your channel so hadn't spotted it before :) I love Mustangs. I have a 1964 1/2 in the same body style with a 4 speed manual and a tuned up 289 v8. Absolutely love that car! :)
I have a very dark, charcoal gray 2000 e38 740il and been thinking about adding a little performance to her like headers, magnaflow exhaust system, cold air intake, bilstien suspension system, a bigger rear end, steptronic transmission, and may try a cheap turbo set up. Anyway, she has 223,000 miles and still running strong. She however has a little knock which sounds like a valve or something. Also has cylinder head and oil pan gasket leak. Other than that, shes fine. But before i add any performance, i will do the repairs or swap out for another engine with lesser miles and in better condition. I will be adding cosmetics (halo headlights, hid foglights, LED tail lights, 18" chrome bbs wheels, led emblem lights, led door handle lights, and a few other misc. extras). I also have a doubin-din Alpine 265bt HU, and a badass, JBL sound system to install in her (2 sets of 6.5 club components, 2 sets of 6.5 club coaxials, 2 gts 10d subs) that will all be powered by a PPI Phantom 900.5 amp. :)
Terminus Yeah that's too much. Viggens aren't old enough be worth anywhere near that. That's maybe a $10k car in tip top condition. Even a museum piece quality original 900 SPG is barely worth $20k.
About to put mine in the shop and redo the cylinder head and gaskets... I went over board this month and just put 5k+miles on her...#favDRIVER #MeganRacing #coilovers.. still @168k on my 98' 528i e39 and I love her... I can't imagine how many more experiences and drives I get to get out of her... when I hit 240,000miles.. wow 😳 I've got some more living to do with my Lady.... love her bad, real BaAd #98e39'528i
Braided stainless hoses have almost zero flexing under the high internal hydraulic psi generated when braking. Stock hoses are more than adequate, but feel squishy when compared to braided stainless hoses.
With manual gearbox does from 0-60 in 3.6 seconds :), thats faster than AMG GTS and BMW M4 GTS with 2 turbos. I wonder how fast is after 100 km/h, Supercharger is the best
+Simca I think we're missing a lot not getting those Dinan Editions cars in Europe. The fact that it's tuned up so much and yet still as easy, refined and tractable at low speeds and just cruising is a really good indication of tuning and modification work that's been designed, engineered and built really well. I bet that beasty could set a really good time around the Nurburgring...
People get confused by this because Dinan doesn't make cars in the way alpina does. They sell performance parts and packages to enhance cars to people already own.
Driven Hard Ah, so I guess we probably could get the parts shipped to Europe, though it's possible some parts may not be compliant with European regulations...
Dinan is over rated. Its like abbot was to saab in the 90's . Nice products, but aimed towards middle age / non mechanical individuals. Basic bolt on, super pricey. Small gains
Juggernaut383 I agree, it would look nicer but I like the single muffler... almost sleeper'ish... I'm gonna keep my 528i' badge and keep the single exhaust in the back even if I drop the M5 v8 monster under the bonnet, lol
Too much work. You have to modify the spare tire well to fit the passenger side exhaust on a non-M5 E39. And, in turn, you can no longer carry a spare wheel.
+Gordon McMillan Silly, but fun because it's different. It's like a heated steering wheel (yup, really) no one NEEDS it but it's one up on the next guy. That's what makes specialist conversions or even factory specialist division cars interesting, they're usually full of things than no one but the original purchaser would necessarily want, like, say, an "Individual" division BMW 7-series Sport with bright (and I really DO mean BRIGHT) purple leather trim in a metallic black car. It's so hideous that it's actually quite cool...
A 2002 540i automatic does 0-60 in 5.2 seconds. That’s 290hp, add 210 more hp and other tunes and gearing I’d say maybe 3.5 seconds and that’s just off the line
Joseph Pllumaj I wouldn't call myself an expert but a do own a few cars that run anywhere between 9.8 and 12.5 in the 1/4. So, I do have a release idea as to what combination of wait/power/tires/transmission/driving axel produces what kind of ET.
Tim Tursonoff yes but a car that has 500+ horsepower and weights under 4000 pounds (this weights like 3700-3800) should be high elevens low 12s depending on tire so it's possible
+South Hill Farm Very probably but then if you can afford to buy one of them in decent condition you've probably got enough money not to worry about its dipsomania, I'll lay odds that a nice full house Dinan is going to be a good chunk of money like an Alpina...
" I'd either end up getting in trouble in this thing or dead!" Priceless Paul
I'd lose my driver's license before the first tank was empty. Sure would be fun, though.
Oh my.. have a 540i supercharged myself but this car takes the cake
I love bmw e39's! i've had four and i want another one.
That looks clean enough to be a 2014. Nice job on cleaning that BMW up
Amesie tell Andrew nice car. Hope you get to show more of his cars on your channel.
what a great BMW
It's a beast!
my e39 540i has 204k miles and kee0 loving it even though it makes me broke.
I feel you man.. just hit 213k on my 530i
Krsin909 Mine is about to hit 240'000, rough on cold start but what a cheetah when the engine is at the right temperature. Never fails to amaze me.
greatludo I'm at 150,000 on my 528i This is my first car but I can't wait to get the 540i
peanuts, just got 380K on my e39 530d
380k miles?!?!?!?
Without an intercooler you've only got a couple good runs at a time
Awesome car!
Nice video
I've got a 316i, it's almost as fast! :D
Uuuh! Fine little Mustang in the background! :D
It's been featured numerous times before

hows your project coming along?
Nice, I've been drooling over a 99 Saab Viggen with 79,000 miles on it. Would love to make that thing into a sleeper. (well morso then it already is)
Buy it! Viggens are so cool!
For the price their asking at almost 18 grand, the thing would have to be spotless me thinks.
Terminus Yeah that's too much. Viggens aren't old enough be worth anywhere near that. That's maybe a $10k car in tip top condition. Even a museum piece quality original 900 SPG is barely worth $20k.
You mean T5 as in the Trionic ECU, right? When I first read that I thought you meant an inline 5 cylinder.
sick

Nice car
Wow, the Quaife automatic torque biasing locking differential is a SHED LOAD of money on its own, that's pretty much a racing part...
I didn't notice that until I saw your comment... cause I was about to say that all that power is a waste if it still had the factory 540i open diff!
nice :)
anyone tells how can ı buy this supercharger pls send link for this supercharger
Hello
Whats the time from 100-200 km/h ?
One 97 540i e39 6 speed m was my first bmw and im traing to get my car back
just buy another. they are around if your willing to do some maintenance
BMW 1
do a video on the lost Saab sonet
how much did this kit cost
around 6k
Supersprint headers, then stock, then Dinan cat back? What was he saying about the brakes feeling tighter or something because the lines are braided?
Braided stainless hoses have almost zero flexing under the high internal hydraulic psi generated when braking. Stock hoses are more than adequate, but feel squishy when compared to braided stainless hoses.
theres one by my house dinan real shit
Yuh 😵
Hey Amesie, what stabilization do you use for a camera? Are you shooting using a gopro? :)
I'm using a HERO 4 Silver mounted in a Feiyu tech g4 ultra gimbal.
Great, just as I suspected. Let's keep making more Saab vids the both of us ;)
With manual gearbox does from 0-60 in 3.6 seconds :), thats faster than AMG GTS and BMW M4 GTS with 2 turbos. I wonder how fast is after 100 km/h, Supercharger is the best
is those dinaneditions only a thing in america? because those editions dont exist in europe, at least ive neve seen a dinan editions here
It's a tuning house here that worked with BMW to make performance parts and special edition tuned cars through select shops.
+Simca I think we're missing a lot not getting those Dinan Editions cars in Europe. The fact that it's tuned up so much and yet still as easy, refined and tractable at low speeds and just cruising is a really good indication of tuning and modification work that's been designed, engineered and built really well. Dinan is over rated. Its like abbot was to saab in the 90's . Nice products, but aimed towards middle age / non mechanical individuals. Basic bolt on, super pricey. Small gains
It's nice but would look so much better with a dual exhaust on it.
Juggernaut383 I agree, it would look nicer but I like the single muffler... almost sleeper'ish...
I'm gonna keep my 528i' badge and keep the single exhaust in the back even if I drop the M5 v8 monster under the bonnet, lol
Jah Cousteauu I've thought about doing that but e39 source says its to expensive

ruclips.net/video/Uo7632llAjI/видео.html For those interested in some more details here you go!
I want a 540i only problem is i pay 1.50 euro for 1 liter petrol. :(
lpg
At 2.45 euro a liter now still driving my 540, i know its 4 years later but do it man
Hey Amesie's Corner, do you have Twitter? So I can follow your daily updates etc
Still for sell????
Dinan 540 isnt exactly a sleeper lol. It would b a sleeper if it had a 528 525 530 badges
Mark Halvorsen it definitely is to people who don't know a lot about BMW's, especially with no ///M badges.
I was thinking same thing lol
How much $ for 500hp ?
Too much. Just built a turbo e39. I bet that car has at least 20k in parts alone
Beat Bimmer every built
was that a K5 blazer in the background
When?
+Railfan Kyle parked in the background at the beginning of the video
Yes yes it is. It's been an ongoing project for a long, long time.
+Amesie's Automotive Corner will we have the pleasure of seeing a video of that?
ScoobyDigites Iv'e done a few on it already
Been repainted if its a 97
1997 with facelift lights and Mpacket bumpers etc etc... sleeper my ass :D
A wolf in sheep's clothing more like.
First thing muffler and resonators delete and straight pipe it
ACS Racing in Hanover Ma ? They dyno tuned my bike . Not such a great job doing it .
13lbs for the wheels sounds really off.
Nima Malayeri yea actually 18Lbs
E39s are very nice but my e34 is better, easy to work on and looks good.. although I once had an ex cop car e39 530d which was a beast with crazy toque
All the money they used to build the m60 and S/c it they made barely any more power then the M5 in its year.
Is that an Audi "Supercharged" emblem on the side?.. Please tell me it isn't because that is a true BMW and that would just be heresy, lol
its a 412 HP Not a 500hp, crankshaft 487 hp max ,13 horsepower left for the 500 hp
jrtheironvoice lol..
@@AmesiesCorner On how tires that times were done ?. On this in this video ?.
Nice car. I also subscribed to the guy's channel. @Amesie where can I send you some nice 9000 photos? An email address

Ha ha leaking is something us cars do!:-)..
He loses one point for the illuminated gear knob though - that's just silly 8-)
How come? That's an E39 M5 specific Part, it's an OEM retrofit, from a higher trim E39, nothing wrong with that :)
Hah, you are probably right, but that doesn't make it ... not silly 8-)
I'll bet it put $$$ on the bill too.
+Gordon McMillan Silly, but fun because it's different. It's like a heated steering wheel (yup, really) no one NEEDS it but it's one up on the next guy. 0-60 in 3s? And I'm Donald duck..
94meriks quack quack..
94meriks Drive one. I've got a 6-speed 540i, they're no joke.
A 2002 540i automatic does 0-60 in 5.2 seconds. That’s 290hp, add 210 more hp and other tunes and gearing I’d say maybe 3.5 seconds and that’s just off the line
They basically took a totalled 540 and made it into a M5 supercharged..
11.9 in 1/4? don't think so. 12.3-12.4 at best
Tim Tursonoff why not 11.9? Are you an expert in quarter mile times
Joseph Pllumaj I wouldn't call myself an expert but a do own a few cars that run anywhere between 9.8 and 12.5 in the 1/4. So, I do have a release idea as to what combination of wait/power/tires/transmission/driving axel produces what kind of ET.

Tim Tursonoff and also it says it's capable of 11,9, that could be on slicks
Joseph Pllumaj I may be wrong, but i would guess that on slicks it would run 12.1 at best.
I dont gwt what "keep it out of the cabbage" means
Is it some sort of new hipster vegan lingo?
pretty much means to keep it alive and driving instead of letting it rot
What a stupid footage. You drove a car 500 hp, 30 mph...
you put all that money into that car and you're could spend few bucks to get the sports seats?
THAT IS NOT AN 11 SECOND CAR LIKE THE BUILD SHEET SAYS NOT AT 500HP!! YOU WOULD NEED 900 HP TO DO 11 SECONDS IN THE 1/4 MILE
Lol bs
7:15 he can’t drive
"deenan"
unsubbed
For a video made years ago?
Bye.
this is an alcoholic on wheels. wouldn't want it if you gave it to me. run you poor on gas.
+South Hill Farm Very probably but then if you can afford to buy one of them in decent condition you've probably got enough money not to worry about its dipsomania, I'll lay odds that a nice full house Dinan is going to be a good chunk of money like an Alpina...
