Wonderful Wonderful come to life again Downton Abby !! Beautiful, fills all the voids of what this world should be . morals, life values, love, down to earth people living again and bring us with them.
I literally came from the cinema one hour ago having just seen the movie - and it was glooooorious!! To those who haven't seen it yet and are going to; ENJOY!!! It is just soooo good!! Oh i wish they could make like a final-final Christmas Special....... #fingerscrossed :D

I've always loved period pieces. This was and is one of ultimate favorites. I cannot wait and wish they would bring the series back.. I would not miss this for the world.
@@meltcmelinda4012 These people are usually press/media handlers repping for each artist/client...for the purpose of moving them down the press line (interviews and photo-ops) in a timed fashion and to extricate said client if, for example, a particular interview is not proceeding well, etc.
So i read quite a few ppl saying nothing really exciting happens in the movie other than the royal visit. But thats what i like about DA..i just want to see them going about their everyday life and witnessing what goes on even tho nothing big happens. Some drama and shock is welcome but the movie was pretty good and was how i always viewed DA as. Also I remember feeling depressed after seeing Mr. Barrow's life going downhill and his attempted suicide. Tho he was saved and grew more appreciative towards his companions after that incident it still left me empty. I am just so glad he got to experience some happy times in the movie. That was my entire hope upon hearing a DA movie was in the works,to see a happy ending to Thomas's chapter and it turned out as good as i had hoped
Saw the film this afternoon. Very good but I would not do another film. It has run it's course but had a lovely ending. Another film might kill the appeal of Downton.
I love the series and the movie... i cannot believe how dressed up the cast is and how dreadfully disheveled the women’s hair looked, and in some cases dirty.
The contrast between men and women is staggering, the women's clothing on the red carpet range from the ridiculous to elegantly and stylishly fashionable, with some women's dresses open right down to the navel, but the men, just turn up like Butlers and waiting staff, paying thousands of pounds to Hugo Boss and Armani just to be as bland as the security in the background. Would men be allowed to wear clothes just as daring and ridiculous or is it not socially acceptable to be anything other than a white shirt and black tie.
The producers got greedy and tried to cash in on the TV series! Short changed the fans and fell flat on their face! Never got the story going and all the plots and subplots were horrendous and confusing! Too many cuts! At best a mediocre film!
Though it has been panned by critics, I believe real fans will be very pleased by the film. We miss all these characters. So nice to see them again.
I usually ignore the critics. Decide for myself.
