- Hugh Bonneville, Jim Carter, Elizabeth McGovern, & Phyllis Logan attend the junket for the Downton Abbey movie in London. During the press conference they discuss returning to their roles, how the sets changed for a movie version of the hit TV show and what audiences can expect.
Downton Abbey the movie has an all-star ensemble cast which includes Allen Leech, Maggie Smith, Michelle Dockery, Elizabeth McGovern, Tuppence Middleton, Stephen Campbell Moore, Joanne Froggatt, Imelda Staunton, Robert James-Collier, Hugh Bonneville and Matthew Goode.
Plot: The continuing story of the Crawley family, wealthy owners of a large estate in the English countryside in the early 20th century.

Amazing movie ~ did not disappoint 😊
I liked the portrayals of the King and Queen. It seemed to fit what I knew of their characters. One of those arranged marriages that was like Robert Cora, a good fit. The king, of course, was a second son who was happily engaged in a naval career until his brother died. Was not Mary of Teck his brother’s fiancé? Anyway. he lived pretty much the comfortable life as Robert Crawley. Would have felt home there at Downton.
Saw it a few days ago - brilliant! Lots of laughs, a few tears and one big laugh out loud moment with Mosely in the dining room! Ticks all the boxes. Well done Mr Fellowes.
Such AMAZING actors and actresses! I believed every emotion and feeling each of them portrayed individually in the show!!! ❤️

I always thought Judi Dench would have been great as Bertie's mother...didn't know who the actress was who did- and Judi would have made people gird their loins from her first word.
They sound the same but they look so weird
I wasn't as interested after Matthew died..
