Bronze TheSling I think TravisMcKim thought she was saying it like "Really? Like, what are you doing?" but what Learn2Draw meant was that she liked what Mark is doing. A simple misunderstanding (:

Seriously though, great video. It confirmed a lot of different things I wasn't sure about, but had positive feelings about--the use of silence and ambiguity, namely. Thanks again. :)

Mark, I have read many of your books but I never noticed just how funny your dialogue is. When ever Landon said "babe" I found myself rolling on the floor laughing. I don't know if it was you voice or the fact that I wouldn't have expected you to use the word "babe" in a way like that.

I have been subscribing to Mr.Mark Crilley for years now and has saw him constantly talking and showing his books which look very interesting, but sadly, it's very disappointing that I only saw Miki Falls series here in Malaysia but not Brody's Ghost series. The book looks very interesting and I really want it, but I can't find it anywhere in Malaysia. Every month I will go out to buy at least 5 new manga books, but every month, I still can't seem to find Brody's Ghost. Hummmm... What a shame...

In film, a directors style and choice for why a shot looks a certain way and why some things are on frame and other things aren't, the term for that is called Mise én scene (Meez-awn-seen) it's a french term for "what's on screen" but was adapted to filmmaking to better explain a directors style of film making. It can also be applied to comic book making. Just a little trivia I think you could use Mark.

I like how the conversation flowed with the third scene (Brody's encounter with Nicole's new boyfriend). It comes off very grounded and realistic whereas many artists would've went over the top and had a huge fight break out. The way the discussion played it out is what I would expect to really happen if I was in that situation.

I really enjoyed this video. I'm studying 3D animation and one of the first steps in animating a scene is to sort of "block out the scene" as they call it i think. which is bassically doing a story board like thing where the image changed every 10 seconds or so, and then go back in and refine the keyframes and change the lengths around and what not. And i feel like if i try and keep up with some tips you have used here, it could come in great handy for making, even an animated scene (:

Hi Mark, first of all I just want to say I really love your videos and your artwork! I've been subscribed to you for a long time and I really enjoy all the things you do.
There's something that has been bothering for a while, and I wasn't really sure how to deal with the situation, but I finally figured I'd just go to you since it does involve you and your artwork. For a long time, since before I started watching your videos, I've had this ghost character in a world that I've created. However, when I came across your channel and the more I started watching your videos, the more I realized that my character's design is very similar to Talia's-they both have the same "RIP" on their shirt. I don't want to scrap the character or design since I like her a lot, but I feel guilty continuing to use her now that I know she's so similar to one of your characters, who I know you spend a lot of time and effort on. I was just wondering what you thought I should do.
    Thank you!

I was reading this online and when I was reading the 6th Volume the server collapsed and I got crazy. Then after two hours I could read it. Its hard for me to get your books in my country. I really loved your work.

Could you do a video on how make a comic book page? Like how big do you sketch one scene and how big is the paper you use when you're sketching (and inking) your pages. So nothing on the computer, just all the traditional art that comes with making a comic book.
