Any energy readouts? I'm looking at 22cal, gas piston, 27fpe and UP. Leaves me a handful of known options all of which have SOMETHING missing between price and customer service. Thanks!
I assume you'll be right there. I'm using a .177 Yukon and the heaviest pellet is an H&N Baracuda Match dome at 10.65 right at 960FPS or a calculated 21.8FPE. Moving the grain up to a 14.3 .22cal and picking a pretty conservative (but fair) 900FPS out of the blue, comes to just short of 26FPE. IMO, the next rifle up is the Benjamin Trail NP XL but the price jumps up pretty quickly too for some pretty negligible differences.
J.C. Allen i ended up getting a 125 sniper vortex .22 I'm getting around 33fpe with 14.3gr cphp's. I haven't used any other pellets but so far i get 1 hole groups at close range. I expect that I'll need a baracuda 21gr for the range i plan on but it's nice. It's markedly different from my standard 125 vortex .25, the qe works very well. I'm surprised these pellets are accurate at all at 1067fps roundabouts lol. Still plan on more guns eventually. Thanks.
Nice video, help here! I know your Ruger partial ( I own a couple mrk2 & mini 14) I am looking at the Yukon but also the rws 34 ( all state the rws is way more quality oriented) in 22cal. Which is long haul better? Thnx
I think it needed more information in numbers, what fps with a few diferent pellets, weight, measures, etc. We need numbers, not only "its a good rifle".
I recently had the chance to fire one of these things recently! Just an awesome air rifle overall. I ran into a problem with the break barrel. When I come to cock the barrel it won't lock(click) ultimately not being able to fire it at all, any suggestions?
Same thing happened to me. Maybe 20 rounds and it does the same thing as you described. I'm not calling Umarex I just want my money back, this thing is a heavy noisy POS! Lucky I bought it on Amazon and I can return it and get my money back. Even if they fixed it I wouldn't want the POS back.
Yea i bought and recieved the ruger impact max elite and its completely defective. I've emailed ruger and got a response and the umarex email and received no reply.. would love an answer.
We're sorry for your troubles. That is not the norm. Our email log is backed up and at times our phones are too. Please try calling Umarex USA 479-646-4210 ext. 7 for the fastest response. Our gun techs are working diligently to get to everyone as quick as possible.
Not all that comes out of China is pure crap. This is Umarex built and they are known for their quality, probably even surpassing the now Crossman-owned Benjamin. The only quality issue I saw with it was intended, and that's the plastic trigger guard. Maybe the plastic silencer down the road if you use it as a cocking handle. I just doped a new low cost scope for it ($40 Winchester 4x32 AO) and I'm really liking this Chinese made air rifle much more than the Turkish made Hatsan 125 vortex it replaced. Three hundred pellets through it probably helped a lot too With the Ruger name and being Umarex built, you'll be dealing with great support if ever the need arises.
Like J.C. said, not ALL out of China is crap. Your opinion is just that... an OPINION, not a fact. And like butt-holes, everybody has one. If you KNEW what we are talking about, you would KNOW that your statement is false. Out of the eighty or so airguns I own, around 7 are of the 'Umarex Legends' series of guns. Also, I have several others from them, and all work as expected. Some are for backyard plinking; maybe inside also. Some are for 100+ yard shooting. Some are for hunting SMALL game, and with two or three I can take a Capetown Buffalo; others NEVER for hunting. You just have to be reasonable with your expectations. Umarex puts a ton of detail into their guns. One bad experience YOU may of had does not make for ALL being bad in the future. Any issues I have had regarding an Umarex gun is quickly remedied by just giving them a call; either fix , replace or refund. And I would wager you NEVER contacted the company regarding your BAD experience. Most likely you don't even purchase directly, but instead always try to find a 'deal' on ebay or Amazon... then you wonder WHY the gun has issues. Or are you one of THOSE guys whose comments made are based because of someone else's opinion. Yeah, that's probably it. Do you even OWN an airgun? That's rhetorical, so don't bother answering.
@RvI2106 You're a troll aren't you. First it was they come from China, next it's because Umarex CS won't fix RWS for free. Are you 12 playing on mommy's laptop? Get a life troll.
When it's out of warranty or it has been neglected in some way or just normal wear and tear then of course there's a charge. For RWS limited lifetime, it the repair is covered by the warranty, there's still a shipping cost.
What you experienced is not the norm and we're sorry to hear this. It's a really good performer. We always encourage that you contact our consumer gun techs within the warranty period so we can help iron out any issues. We can't help if we don't know and aren't given an opportunity to assist.
@@UmarexAir I thought at first it may have been an anomaly, but then after reading more reviews I found several complaining of the same thing. That tells me there's a problem with design, but they're still selling them knowing theres a flaw in the design. That pissed me off. You don't a sell product that is likely to fail, you fix it then sell it. I got my money back it gone I'm happy.
Thank you for your Service keeping us Safe here in the UNITED STATES
Thank you for thinking of our service men and women.
Thank you for your service Sir.
I just got the newer version of the Yukon the .22 Ruger Impact max Elite. What a great Ruger rifle these are.
Give Eydin a follow on Instagram if you're on that platform: @TXHogDude
I also have the Ruger Impact Max Elite.. is it the same as the Yukon..? Since the Yukon is a magnum.. what is the difference
You need to mention things like clean the barrel, tighten all the screws and 30-40 pellet will not break in a pellet rifle.
Man, you so right about the number needed... most guns for me have taken a couple of tins, and THEN it settles down. :-)
I was thinking the same thing
Dropping a scope on a table is always good!!
Sounded like an empty paper towel roll when it hit the table.
If it can't hold up, don't need it.

You're welcome! Glad it helped!

How good is this gun for hunting
It would be a great squirrel gun.
The difference it’s that Ruger it’s made in China.

Oh hey Texas how are you doing
TX is great, as you must know.
How many round pellets can be loaded in at once? (for the .177)
On this rifle, use pellets in the diabolo shape. Not made to shoot spherical rounds.
mine doesn't like a benchrest.
yep. Most springers like to be free.
👍
Does this gun come with a tin of pellets?
It does not. Some retailers may offer it as a bundle through their websites though. Just have to shop it.
Umarex Airguns thanks for your help
What pellets do you recommend
Domed. JSB. RWS. Premiers. Gotta try to see which your barrel likes.
Gamo
, Cool video, is it good for hunting rabbits?
With proper shot placement, yes.
is it made in China?
Yes.
I love You!
no it's a Umarex
Right on, through a deal with Ruger.
@@UmarexAir I know I have the ruger targus and the ruger trevox pistol.
I don’t know what been gay smells like
LOL. Ask him on Instagram @TXHogDude
This this is a piece of shit don't buy it. Mine lasted maybe 20 rounds and broke. It's as heavy as an M1 Garande rife, noisy POS!
