- Any excuse to clamber around on bridges!! This is a deep dive on rust and corrosion - explaining how paint and barrier coatings stop things rusting, whyaluminium doesn't 'rust' and other useful bits. Watch this once, understand rust completely!
As usual, it's just straight, clear talk. No adverts, no begging for subscribes - just good info.
If you like this level of detail then you'll love our complete video course which is available at www.howacarworks.com/video-course
This guy has the video quality of someone with millions of subscribers
This guy is just a teaser for online courses that you must pay 18$ for life. It is not some diy geek. He is pro mechanic.
MrSwagTurtle u are right on the spot, their voice clarity, video clarity and analysis of the entire system is quite thorough and not just something cheap.
good job 'How a Car Works'
The numbers of subscribers tell you nothing about the quality. Most popular bloggers don't know shit about what they're talking about.
it's a business venture, he's obv not doing this alone. they clearly went into it with the goal of making the best, most informative automotive lectures possible for the layman... with the goal of monetizing on an external platform they solely control.
Bet, 1m subscribers by the end of 2020
I have never ever posted a comment on RUclips, but happy to make an exception for this one as it is an absolutely fantastic video. The explanation is very clear and brought in a very pleasant-to-watch way. Really well done!
really?? do u watch much youtube?? i mean this guys good n all but theirs some channels that have some seriously genius dudes explainin stuff in depth but in layman's terms, if u liked this u would more than likely love those
@@4dirt2racer0 The best is the enemy of the good. I am sure you can always find better videos. All I am saying is that I was looking for a video explaining corrosion and this video did the job for me. I found it very informative and it explained it very well. So more than happy to give this guy the credit he deserves.
DO NOT PAY FOR THIS! it may not have started as a scam but now it is for sure! if you check social media, you will find a lot of people who ask for help and were ignored by this guy.
in a few weeks the site forgot I bought the course and even if I am loged it it won't let me watch videos, offering me instead to buy the course again. no one responds emails nor messages sent to the social media profiles. also, the course is incomplete and this guy has not uploaded anything in years. and none of the site-only videos were is 4k as promised. only the free youtube ones were. there is not even an option to download the videos, so unless you know of a hackey way to do so, don't bother giving money for this.
if someone finds a way to download the videos, please upload them to the pirate bay. despite all, the videos were actually quite good.
Umm... This was surprisingly excellent content. I'm blown away by the quality of the explanation and the clarity with which it's presented. Fantastic!
Love these videos, literally every sentence is informative, like reading a good university schoolbook.
This man nailed my whole education year. Keep making videos and amaze us.
Revising for exams and came across this wonderful video. Truly appreciate how you spoke so clearly and at an easy to follow pace. Even learnt something new - that rust is basically iron ore! Thank you so much!
These videos deserve so much more attention. Great quality!
I don't care about cars but the way you explain this topic is brilliant my man. The way you slightly repeat and then summarize the modules of your video makes it great to understand for someone having restricted knowledge about the issue. Perfectly done!
What a simple and high quality explanation! Love how plainly and clearly put you were. Thanks!
Wow great video. The video quality is world class. And your explanation of Rusting, Oxide formation, Galvanising and Chromium painting were so simple and easy to understand. Thanks!!
Wow, this guy is underrated. Subscribed. Honestly really loved that you got into the dirty details (no pun intended) of the chemistry and what's happening at a molecular level
Greetings, Mr. Alex Muir,
I am Divyansh Sharma, and I love your video course. I’m a man who wants to learn about cars and spend my life with them, and this video course is really, for me at least, the bridge to a life of automotive excitement. I love how you go into extreme detail about everything, and explain it with all your heart. It’s really helpful for car enthusiasts like me, who want to go into cars, but know a fraction of what there is to know before you can pop the hood and get to work. I especially love those little bits of humour you include in the middle, they really brightens things up. I admire how you really know what you’re doing, which gives me, and I’m pretty sure everyone else, confidence, that we won’t screw things up when we try to do something as little as change the oil.
Since I love your course so much, I ask (in the best way possible): When can I get to see the rest of it? You explaining gearboxes, differentials, and with your amazing 3d graphics, the braking system, the power steering, and suspension. I really admire what you’re doing, which is why I’m so excited to see the rest of your magic. Thank you so much for taking time to read this, and I hope you’ll get back to me soon.
Regards,
Divyansh Sharma
Been watching a few of your videos recently. Gotta admit that the quality of your editing, your script and the touch of friendliness that transpire from your videos are quit catchy. Much love from Quebec, Canada, where our cars do literally flake away every winter. Keep it up my friend!
Amazing video. I really like the way you explain. You should have millions of subscribers. Good job!
I am a science teacher and this video is exactly what I was looking for to play to a class of 15 year old boys to explain rusting and how to prevent it. Really well presented and easy to understand video :)
What an amazing video. Thank you for this, keep them coming!!!

High quality video. I wasn't even using it for automotives and learned a great amount
Thank you sir ! You are really worth to have millions of subscribers not thousands
This video was very helpful for students like me as it explained everything clearly. Before I watched this, I only know that an object made from Iron will most likely to be in a bad condition than the one made from aluminum after years. I was confused as to why because I only know about the Electrochemical Series of Metals. Aside from that? None. But because of this video, I now understand why. Thanks to this guy!
Who would have thought that I will watch a video on as boring stuff as 'Rust' , but because of this phenomenal presenter .
I may end up acquiring a degree in auto engineering by just watching your series.
The best £20 I ever spent.
Your videos are phenomenal, I have appreciated every one of them. Keep them coming and keep up the great work 👍
Fantastic. Great production quality: I really liked your selection of locations to demonstrate different metals.
Well thought out. Just the right amount of detail.
This video was informative, entertaining, and cool. I worked in the oil field in West Texas, and we had to deal with rust all day every day. The part where you said the oxides of iron expand more than iron, and between the threads it locks the nut into place. That is no nonsense. We would spray penetrating lubricants and use heavy duty impact guns. Good times.
Excellent video! A great explanation and refresher on the subject. Subscribed.
Another great video, I wish you guys got more viewers on youtube. Thank you!
Incredibly high quality content! Simple and easy to understand, really appreciate these videos bro!
Love that you were on Szabadság híd. Greetings from Hungary
@ 10 minutes I was wishing this video was 20 minutes! Great job :)
One of, or, the best corrosion video i've seen.
this helped me ace my chemistry essay! thanks a lot :)
Just discovered this channel. Great production quality and what i've seen so far, great content! Will be following from now on! Would love to know more history about the presenter... the channel 'about' is a bit brief.
The Analogy at @4:22 really sums up the quality of this channel.
Amazing quality and detailed content.
Nice little video with 10 informative minutes.
Brilliant explanation, thanks for sharing 👍🏿
youtube suggestions done it again, lol> this was nice refreshment, thnx. i must applaud on your tools selection - unior, would be interesting to know, how they end up in your workshop. i'm little biased, since they're made in my country, but they are of very good quality etc. not that much seen around the internet (but they're used also in states etc), they should deserve a little bit more recognition, i think. thnx.
Very good and clear explanation! 10/10
Nice locations From Budapest, Hungary! My home!
What are you doing there?
Brilliant video, deserves much more credit
I had no idea this was a car channel until I looked at channel name; that's a good thing.
Chrome is rust proofing according to popular knowledge, however it’s only for show. The layer under the chrome is the nickel, the protecting layer. Nevertheless it’s a good show, I’d like the shots in Budapest too. Keep making it, I’ll keep watching it.
Wow you will reach million subscribers very quickly. Top quality and very informative thanks
Thank you so much. This is an amazing remember able video. I was able to distinguish many things after all. Much love from saudi arabia... please keep up the good work 👍👍👍
The begining of the video felt like a school movie that was really proffesional done
Rust is probably the #1 cause of why brakes seize & wear out prematurely. That's why brake grease is recommended between the caliper bracket & shims.
you are very mistaken.
You have to lube the caliper pins too that dry out every year at least if not twice on salted roads.
Nice to see you in Budapest! :)
great video I never knew all these things but have interacted with all of them and even learned lot of chemistry
Very well made video!
Thanks friend :-) it was all the info i need for my test
Thank you for this informative video
That's the Liberty Bridge in Budapest :)
Helped a lot, thank you very much!
Wondering why you can't have an aluminium coating on steel
Btw, amazing work with the video
This 10:35 minutes video was more learnable than my whole education year.
Interesting and so educative
so smooth explanation! Excellent
Anyone ever watched peep show? Weirdly this man reminds me of that personal trainer that mark one had... anyway, brilliant explanation and high quality content. Thumbs up.
I missed you guys!
The best. ‘Nuff said!
Excellent video, very informative.
This video is great! Thank you, such a high quality video!
Great information.
Good Afternoon How a car works
Thanks 👍
From Nick Ayivor from London England UK 🇬🇧
Everbody should buy this 25$ course.....
"Boom! I will throw some electrons at you." 😂
Did you guys indeed make the follow-up video on treating rusted parts? I haven't found it.
EXCELLENT EXCELLENT JOB!!
thanks!!, now am off to paint my old Highlander before it gets covered with rust!!
really great video!
Can’t wait to see more!!!
Did I miss mention of a type of steel that is left unpainted and forms a purposeful layer of rust that protects underlying metal? Used on guardrails I believe.
Great information and beautiful views of Budapest. Are you located there?
Cant beleive i just watched and enjoyed tht
great videos man !
Pure knowledge
Why does this channel only have 65k subscribers??
Just subscribed. Excellent content.
What a éducatif video thank you very much
What about stainless steel.?
stainless def rusts, just takes longer
Galvanic corrosion has a lot to play in it to.
Then why can I dig up galvanized waterline out of the ground, then why does it always RUST FROM THE INSIDE but it still looks new on the outside.
Freaking love this channel
very usefull vid, I LOOOOOOOVED IT, btw subbed as well
nice video, when will there be a sequel about rust ?
What a great video!
Please upload another topic video related to sports car
you're a pretty talented dude.
This is a quality vid
The way he said SHIPS is incredible; I swear I heard Ships, Shits, Chips at the same time. Unbelievable Hahahaha what a mind fuck of an accent damn
why don't we use stainless steel for cars? may be it's more expensive but isn't it worth it? just my curiosity.
Thanks
Great video!
Thankyou
thankyou so much
Ah, the oxidation of metals. The only reason I passed my Chemistry O Level!
What were you doing in Budapest, dude? :D
i'm also trying to found that out
@@stevekapitany8908 he explains it in the online course, it has to do with finding an affordable space and car for the online course
got hands dirty - subscribed
Still need a part 2!
good work
Time for part 2 man where are you
