I don't watch many Thor matches, but I love the insights you add to these. I started playing AoM as a girl and even now as a lady I remain a proud Set main, but your videos have got me branching out a bit more. Thanks for all your content. :)

I don't understand the hersir spam, why not other units?? Throwing axemen would be good against their murmillo. ..
Hersir spam in this matchup was a good call. Hall of Thanes makes Turma ineffective vs hersirs, and Gaia player was already making a bunch of them. Turma would have slaughtered a mass Throwing Axemen army. With HoT Hersirs you can go raiding, which you can't with TA. Hersirs counter an Automaton spam. Hersirs are not affected by spiders. Hersirs get automatically buffed with age up and armory upgrades give a better boost to Hersirs. I think the Thor player made several strategic mistakes, but his idea of mass Forseti Hersir was not wrong. He should have used his Dwarven Goldmine, and aged up fast, so that he could push Gaia off of hunt and gain map control. He should have not built temples in the middle of the map, and went for a few trolls earlier on in the game. Trolls are better vs Gaia than other Atty, since you have to manually heroize your units. He did not need to wall the map up so fast, wasting a lot of gold (which he had less than expected, since he didn't use Dwarven Goldmine). Also, he should have engaged in more fights, since his Hersir mass was stronger than Gaia's army.
my main was gaia but on x1 norse crushes gaia
Punkstar is a genuinely nice guy, but not lvl with most of the other pro players (at least not in the videos that Boit uploads). Anyways, thats just my take.
