Video shot at West Michigan Honda Meet #8. This was the very first time having the Topsetup CRX on the road course. Driver/Owner: Charles Rhyu. "If it feels good, I'm gonna get on it." This CRX is fully built and tuned at www.topsetup.net. This is ONLY THE BEGINNING for this CRX... The power plant is a high compression Type S(k20a2) with Rcrew racing head package and bolt-ons. This guy really knows what he's doing, bought the honda tunning mag today and his story was the first i read. first saw this guy on america touge and looks like he just keeps on going. balancing his car with the lightest chassis and a monstrous engine combination there is no need for boost, keep it up top setup.
This guy is the man! Good driver, the car is very well tuned, and the driver gives every guy he passes a friendly wave. Love it
the car itself is so light. k20 in it just really puts it out there. im amazed how your able to balance the car. seems like a very fun car to have daily driven and track use on the weekends.

read your honda tuning article and your car is SICK. I have an 04 RSX S with a k20z block and a k20a head and you are HUGE inspiration to get the k24block and shave some weight from the car. Keep up the good work and keep the rex on chuggin!

The weight shown in this video was 1880Ibs plus a 170lbs driver. Thats 2050lbs total. Normal street driving with 91 octane, CRX gets 32-34 MPG.
Props on the CRX dude thing is wicked fast & am currently trying to finish mine so that i can race at the honda challenges in south & north carolina. Good stuff!!!!

The motor in our CRX has full custom mounts and we positioned it lower than the bolt in Hasport kit. The hood is a JDM style CRX hood fitted for the US head lights. Which also helps with clearance.

@chinaboi96 The track is Southaven, MI. The track is called gingerman raceway. The name of this event is actually called Western Michigan Honda Meet.

Yes. Its similar in weight to the B16A which came factory in the JDM CRX Sir's. The weight difference is easily balanced out with proper suspension tuning and brake upgrades.

The front is at 10k and the rear is 6k. Still currently tuning the suspension setup. In this vid Im on GSR calipers all the way around. Hawk HP plus brembo slots in the front. stock rear. Since this video I've gone to Willwood 4 piston superlite calipers up front.

@phoenixghon I'm running a stock OEM gas tank. With a Walbro 190 pump. I do get starvation at about 4 gallons less than full. I usually always run full. Depending on your engine power and corner speeds a stock tank is pretty good. I'm going to a fuel cell becuase it does save weight and since going with Hoosier tires my corner grip pulls more Gs. If you driving to and from the track OEM tank is best. If you trailer it then go fuel cell.

I had original intentions on running in the HU (unlimited) Class. But that got dropped from the HC series. If I modify the cage and add a shit load of weight back into my car maybe H1? So time attacks it is... Which I think are more fun.
I guess breaking my personal best times is a satisfaction I got from drag racing.
