Ger,you can look @ things with an open mind or with blinkers on,some might say no problem we are top of the league, or you can be objective & visionary of which I've got a long list.I'm not yet ready by any stretch for advocating farke out,but to keep my sanity i would like to know what an independent football enthusiast thinks of leeds latest saga from their perspective..
why is everyone slagging darlow ,dont forget the 2 centrebacks are used to playing with him at international level and have confidence in him

Our rivals are strengthening and it’s not that hard in January to get signings, if we don’t sign anyone in January we get playoffs and I’m calling it now…….we have all seen this story before

New keeper is 100% the answer!! does not mean we sell Meslier or even bench him for the rest of the season but it means there is a viable alternative which makes the squad calmer about the goalkeeping situation

Hi guys the biggest problem is Farke our back four have lost confidence in Meslier if we don’t get a keeper in we could possibly end up the same as last season

Another problem with our keeper is he can’t even do the simple things. When he is passing or throwing to our centre backs he doesn’t put the ball in front of them, they have to adjust their runs to receive the ball so it takes any potential momentum out of the move.
Joffy was Bielsa's and Jesse's boy. Never had a chance once Farke brought in Joel and DF not being brave enough to go three at the back.
DF has been proved right though, Joel is banging them and we ARE top of the league.
Daniel Farkes man management of his players is now at its most crucial in what he has to do for Leeds United 🦚🇮🇨 and most of all Mr Meslier because I do believe he is devastated of what happened on Saturday so he's going to be in a tricky time he's made a few mistakes.We should have more points than we have put Karl Darlow in for the cup 🏆and both home 🏟️ league matches against Sheffield Wednesday and Norwich city sometimes you can be loyal to player's and it could cost you when things start going wrong especially with been a keeper it's your last line of defence and most important part of your defence is a solid keeper gives your defence in front of you more confident. Don Revie stayed loyal to Gary Sprake and he made some big mistakes and Don Revie said i stayed too loyal to Gary Sprake if I had changed it earlier we would of won more matches. At least on Saturday we got a point we are still Top of the league at the moment fingers crossed 🤞 the 49ers 🏈 are working behind the scenes this January we need bodies in if they are serious about promotion we can't say we have enough. great discussion lads, there's alot of poi ts to be won and lost and both Burnley and Sheff U will improve their squad. We should be more points ahead but we're not. I believe we should be more points ahead and Farke has big calls to make as areas if the squad need to strengthened. 49ers can't be 100% happy woth how things are going because we should be much further ahead. When defenders make mistakes quite often the keeper makes a save and spares their blushes, this is not the case with Meslier. You alluded to Solomon slipping against Burnley, the eventual scorer still had 70 yards to goal and the goal keeper to beat, which he did with ease. Personally I am nervous whenever the ball goes towards Meslier, especially at set pieces, and with the ball at his feet.
If I feel like that you can imagine how the back four feel.
Farke could quite easily lose his job if we miss out on promotion, whilst Meslier will still be at the club.
Being billed as the new Rooney did Gelhardt precisely zero favours. Maybe he should go ride a granny and that'll start the dominoes falling.

Do we really need a left back with Firpo, Byram, Wöber and Schmidt in that position? I can’t see this happening. Farke notoriously says he wants a small squad and as left back we have 4 options, six counting Struijk and Bogle who could theoretically play there as well in case of an emergency.
Neither Farke nor the Club will make any decisions in Jan. The club because we’re top of the league so they don’t need to spend any money or take risks, and Farke because he doesn’t make difficult decisions! Outcome- another year in the Championship guaranteed for 2025/26 season.
I bet we had a better Saturday night than what Meslier did. He must hade felt awful.

I wish he would stop using that as an excuse for his poor game management and i wish the journalist would call him out on this for mine he is getting an easy ride he does not deserve, he needs to be be held accountable because to be honest if we are not promoted automatically we would fail via the play offs, you take the job at Leeds you need to be held accountable for your performance
There i have had my Farke winge and to be honest i would like to see Danny Rohl given the chance at leeds i think his is more progressive manager

He was brought in to be number 1 before Mes decided to stay.
And his career to date would suggest he's more than capable at this level, but would need games. He's not without mistakes, but most keepers in this league have mistakes in them. We just need one with the least amount of mistakes in him.

At the end of the day it’s his job and he’s not doing it. Age has nothing to do with it. He’s been playing top level for 4 years. It’s not personal it’s business.

Farke also said we have a young team. Did we have a single player under the age of 24 vs Hull? They are not young, they are experienced when it comes to this league. Piroe, Rothwell, James, Solomon, Rodon, Struijk, Wöber, Bogle, Bamford, Tanaka, Firpo, Ampadu, Guilavogui, Gnonto and Ramazani are not young and inexperienced!
I’ve been working for too many years - in all that time I’ve encountered very few people who get out of bed every day to do a bad job. Yes he’ll be upset, but contrition doesn’t get us promoted.
I can’t remember a time when his age didn’t provide context, or excuses for mistakes made. At what point do you decide that something will always be missing from his game?
Last line of defence is a big job, if he’s not up to it then swap him out, temporarily or permanently. He’s a nice lad, but that’s not one of the top 5 or 10 qualities sought in a goalkeeper.
Meslier can’t get out of the firing lane, it’s too late. People are describing his poor performances in “years” not just games.
Its not just one mistake.

I am sorry in my opinion I perceive Meslier may have a problem when I look at his movement it is just off! Sadly it is not a physical thing that can be quickly fixed!

Leeds and Jan transfer windows stinks of lack of clarity at the top of the club no forward planning . This whole pack of a forward was clear at start of season as was our need for a left back and it anyone had been on n the ball a goalkeeper . No way does firpo stay and I'll be honest he's not been great this season . Poor discipline and now the injuries are back . Shetf utd haven't even had owners and seem better positioned for the market .v
His stats have been crap for years. This, oh, he's a young keeper is rubbish. He will never be a top keeper. His one of many players who we have that are not good enough for Prem but he is not even good enough for Championship.
