- I asked an AI to predict the next Subnautica game. What we got, was SHOCKING! Afterwards, I commissioned an artist visualize the AI's prediction!

These concepts are awesome. And the abyssal trench is nightmare fuel that i love. Even some of the AI generated art would be really cool to have. The AI generated art of the abyssal trench does make it seem small, but i like the idea of holes in the trench that you can hide inside to not be noticed when the leviathan swims around
The AI generated leviathan also looked pretty cool
Imagine if there was a creature that would actively hunt you down, attaching your base and causing you to have to keep moving to survive.

It would leave you no choice, but to create a mobile base in your submarine. All possible base pieces would be useless
I love and hate this what if you could get a base with legs that walked across the ocean
I still want the Single-Celled biome to make a comeback as the out-of-bounds area if the next game is set in the void.
I would like to see some aggresive roaming leviathans, something like Wolf Spiders from Grounded where they don't just swim around a certain spot but roam a certain area (maybe biome in Subnautica) completely freely. They could also somehow track the player if they are in their roaming area.
Now ask it what aci has been teasing
an advanced civilization native to planet 4546B would be pretty cool, like a mermaid or merfolk race that could communicate telepathically with the player like the sea emperor would be epic
A merfolk race could be interesting, perhaps salvagers of the Architect technology? Which might have helped them advance? It might take away from the feeling of being alone, but it could provide a new path depending on how the player chooses to interact with them.
If you ignore them, they leave you alone. They're not helpful, but they also aren't harmful.
If you're hostile, damaging their structures or attacking them, they become hostile right back to you and you lose the ability to communicate with them.
If you're kind and helpful to them, you can get access to their technology, their village, and their aid, gaining allies in whatever your goals might be. You might even choose to abandon Alterna in favor of these locals. The choice is yours, and offers the potential for new endings and access to a variety of stories and things to do.
hell imagine if we come across alien survivors on the planet who were stranded because of the Q.E.P. just like the degasi and the aurora who have learnt to use the scraps of tech from alterra, architects and their own tech that would be sick

What i want in the next Subnautica game:
+Advanced water waves
+Creature base attack
+More base items
+A much bigger map like 2x more than the original sub
+A big submarine like the cyclops but a bit bigger and can hold two viechles
+A super creepy dark biome with a big creature that lights up when its attacking
+More scarry
+Land biome that is more interesting than sub bz
+Multiplayer is confirmed!!!
+More Leviathans
+Water filter/power reactor in submarine but is worse than base filter/reactor
+Boat
+A small two player viechle that can dock in the submarine but uses up two viechle bays
+No npc's to make the game feel more like sub 1

Hey!! Chat GPT stole my idea!! Back before below zero came out I had an idea for “subnautica: Dark waters” about an Altera research team that is exploring a precursor city built in the void. The city would’ve been built by survivors of the karaa outbreak, who, after failing to get enzyme 42 from the sea emperor leviathan, Decided to use their genetic manipulation technology to breed new leviathans in hopes of creating one that also produces enzyme 42. The team would trip a fail safe or something that would cause the facility to release the genetically altered leviathans and cut off the team’s ability to get to back to the surface, and your character would have to use the transfuser tool (reflavored as alien tech) to steal abilities from the leviathans to solve puzzles and fix things to eventually escape the sunken city all while dealing with the psychological toll that becoming less and less human would bring.

the concept of a civilization is pretty interesting lets see
if there is people or aliens that you can interact with for advancing with the story by giving you missions and so learn about them and maybe find that underwater city ruins. And a Marauder leviathan could be awesome.
Another idea i had was sexual simorphism to actually differ between males and females species and with it making the egg hatchs and generation a bit different
Aight that’s it I’m gonna sketch some concepts out for a potential void story, I got some good ideas from this. I’m not a fan of AI art and the chat but I will say based on what info it had, the chat didn’t do a bad job.

Aci I use chat gpt as well it managed to create the lurker leviathan in a story unintentionally but not all of the details are in it.
Would you be able to at least reply to this comments and tell me what I should tell it as the current lurker Leviathan for some things I may also take the time to tell you some things that may be worth putting into your mod.

Things like idk an extreeeeeeeeeeemly deep but a bottom to the void where idk things like underwater sand storms happen or maby just a magma floor in that area
Or a mixture of biomes where part of the story may be found

it's pretty obvious to see why you'd be disappointed in Midjourney AI and such. they simply sample existing artworks and mix them together to make something "new". commissioning artists will always be better than ai generated "art"
0:26 i hate to be that guy, but no, chat-gpt is not intelligent, and it's not even an AI. it might seem pedantic but it's actually incredibly important to be aware that chat-gpt has no notion of "facts" or "reasoning." it is just an _incredibly_ advanced language model. in other words, it's really good at coming up with things to say. of course, it turns out that this is just about as helpful as a real AI most of the time. but it's still REALLY important to remember that nothing it says is necessarily going to be helpful or true, they're just going to sound like really appropriate responses.
the leviathan would be rly scary with red eyes, as the focus point to the picture, and mostly to annoy you with my slight delay
