- Here's another Ratchet & Clank Lore Video. This time, I go went over the Zoni, mysterious creatures of time made up of pure energy. At the end of Ratchet & Clank Future Tools of Destruction, Clank was taken away by the Zoni in order to fulfill his destiny.
Years ago, the Zoni were discovered by the Fongoids, well that's what we believe. The Fongoids befriended these creatures and were entrusted with the ability to time travel. Unfortunately, due to unintentional behavior, paradoxes were created and caused a rip in the space time contiuum.
In Ratchet & Clank PS4, several references were made about the Zoni.
The Zoni played an important in both Tools of Destruction and A Crack in Time.

Great lore video! ToD and ACiT are amazing, they enriched the story of the entire franchise so much. My favourite R&C game is ACiT and I do hope Insomniac Games picks up from where Into The Nexus ended to see this complex plot become even greater. Thumbs up!

There is a possibility for continuing after " into the nexus " since at the end ratchet and clank both talk about using the dimensionator to find the lombaxes, and at the last second clank takes the dimenonator from the museum knowing it's broken with the look of " hey I want to fix this thing "

Clank actually has a ton of connections to the zoni in my series: the symbol on his Stone is a zoni and in his Magic of the Elements form, he’s recoloured to look like a zoni and is equipped with the zoni blaster from All 4 One.

Tbh, I thought that Clank is a robot infused with a Zoni soul, because that would explain two things: Why clank can use time related powers in ACiT and TOD and why he is one of the main characters who doesn't die in the series, like dr Nefarious who was an alien but was transformed in a robot.
Well, Clank can use time related powers due to the chronocepter. He gave it to Sigmund, I'm sure it works with whoever wields it. Orvus simply put a digital version of himself in Clank's data banks.
FINALLY someone else who understood the reference in the movie. (Disruption of time)

2:15 - The Robo-Wings being my favorite to use with motion sensors in Ratchet & Clank: Tools of Destruction to explore Planet Kortog, which makes the Future saga live up to the name and Outpost L51, which helps add prehistoric elements to the Future sage. What was your favorite level Or your favorite gadget in that game?
2:52 - Technically yes but because overusing this would destroy the universe, time travel was forbidden.
3:30 - I noticed in both the game and the movie. I still don't understand why Ratchet would have that in his criminal record. :P

5:58 - That's his serial number from the original game, B5429671! (7 and 1 weren't mentioned by Clank, the rest of the number was on the back of the case of the original.)
6:24 - What if they used materials from the Robot Plant Clank came from? Probably the same type of metal he's made out of.
6:44 - I've thought about that and it would make sense that Orvus would be responsible. Disappointing we couldn't see Clanks mother in the movie or the reboot. :(
7:19 - By reversing time on the broken objects (whacking them with Chronocepter)
7:38 - Technically yes but Sigmund used other suitable methods besides the master control switch which can only reverse time by 6 minutes without causing disruption to time space.
8:29 - That's how Sly Cooper: Thieves In Time should've ended. In a similar way to Ratchet & Clank: A Crack In Time where Clank rejoins Ratchet in another adventure that awaits them, that's where the hope lies that there would be another game too.
8:36 - I've already watched it but I'll re-watch, just to refresh my mind. It's why I watch these types of videos you make, too see if I missed certain details somewhere. :)
The space pirates would be an interesting video! Favourite planet, Fastoon (off top of my head). It used to be populated by Lombaxes, there's just this feeling of mystery. Haha, give or take fifty feet. You're right, IG did reuse Clank's serial number, I think I got confused with XJ..., his serial number was in the original. If sigmund was able to create that time rift, then direct time travel really exists in the series. Thanks for taking the time to analyse :P

I always thought through out the games the three most powerful races are the Zoni, the Lombaxes, and emperor Tacions race cant remember.
I would say the Zoni, Lombaxes and Fungoids. Tachyon stole the Lombaxes' blueprints, he was fascinated by their creations.

P.S are you ever going to continue your let's play on Ratchet & Clank: All 4 One? You stopped at I think part 5 when a lot of news came on the reboot.
the most powerfull race in the games are the Zoni and Nethers(based on the power theyv shown), while i see the Lombaxes and the Cragmites as just a powerful empire.

They live without armors in their dimension it's assumed. So I don't think they're weak there.

Actually that should be a subject to be brought up when u said the clock wasnt a time machine yet when they created time rifts it still affected the future of any place where a rift had opened to if anything sigmund couldve created a rift on the lombax homeworld thus taking ratchet to the past and seeing his family again

About Angela Cross, I only heard that she fled with max Apogee but I didn't know that they mention that in one of the comics.
Also when I was watching game play of he reboot, Qwark mentioned that the Blarg had an involvement in the extinction of the Lombaxes.
That reference was part of a beta/alpha version of the PS4 game. It isn't canon in the movieverse

How come in ToD, Clank can slow time at will but in ACiT, he relies on time bombs to do so?
That could've been due to the Zoni with Clank in ToD. As for ACiT, he was on his own and slowed down objects.

Well Kaden (Ratchet's father) theorized its existence. This happened before Ratchet was born yes, we can assume.
Clank's memory was created in the great clock but he was created in the orvis chamber
He was created in the Great Clock but constructed on Quartu

Clank was created on Quartu. Orvus put a digital version of himself in Clank's data banks. Once he entered his subconscious, he discovered Orvus, that's what Orvus intended.
Clank's "essence", subconscious, whatever makes Clank a gifted robot and not a killer warbot, was created by Orvus in the Great Clock. Only significance of Quartu is that the program used to design the warbots (Clank's "mother") was altered by Orvus to allow this "essence" to be placed inside a custom-shaped robot.
It's like any device. You have the architects and programmers who design the product and its behaviour (Orvus) and then you have the factories which construct them (warbot factory on Quartu)
Clank wasn't a "defect" that a digital version of Orvus put himself in to. Clank was a "defect" BECAUSE Orvus made him one.
