HUGE ABANDONED WW2 TUNNEL'S : A.E.I Henley Air Raid Shelter & Tunnels Explored - 4K /30fps

WT Henley's Wire Cable Factory in Northfleet, hides a secret.. A colossal network of spacious underground air raid shelters, still survive. Watch NOW as Chris, Scott and Martin venture inside.

The Henley 'Electrical Cable Manufacturing Company' was once on a busy plateau of factories and other industrial work places.
A set of gothic stairs lead down a harrowing path towards a shear cliff face, some of the arched windows had either eroded or had been punched through at some point in its chalk dusted past..
Henley were renown for producing impermeable cables suited to aquatic submerging for stealth coms.
Relics from that time period that relate to the venues past are evident among near by surroundings.
The tunnel and bunker complex is said to have a capacity of 2000 people !!
It's said there were six entrance/exit points
However recent info suggests a further couple of exit points.
The tunnels were divided it seemed there were male and female sides, after some online research I found that a majority of women were mostly accountable for a lot of the work that took places within the confined and harrowing twining tunnels.
Deep beneath the chalk cliff face - and just meters below the original gardens that once sat in the transforming landscape.
Hidden War Tunnels and an Air Raid Shelter 👌
The Henley Air Raid network of Tunnels were constructed during WW2 to protect the worker's
The tunnels at one of the entrances had a large Diesel engine to circulate air around the tunnels hence the air ducting as soon as the explore starts. The engine no longer appears to be in place, although it seems parts of it were left behind.
The tunnels were split, AEI and Henley GEC tunnels, a majority of the AEI tunnels were also like the streets of New York, in that you had a main entrance door to each tunnel then as you walked in, every left and right intersection / dog-leg went into the adjoining tunnel - these were then boarded up approx 3m in to form rooms along a particular tunnel, complete with wooden floors.
