Anything to do with ads. The ad on each side of the trapezoid, the mapped ads on the ice, the animated digital ads on the boards. If they're going to insist on using digital ads on the boards, they should at least be static.
Earlier this week during the Flyers game, half the power went out but the game continued. All they had working was some of the lights on the ice and that was it. Honestly, it was so refreshing not hearing anything but the players shouting to each other and the puck hitting the sticks.

I’ve been to games recently in Glendale, Vegas, Raleigh and Tampa, and it’s exactly the same. A similar one that was going on during the NFL playoffs on TSN was all during the playoffs they'd put up this big banner ad at the bottom of the screen during replays that would block important parts of the replay. The ad was for the superbowl. So they were literally blocking important parts of the screen in playoff games to tell me when the superbowl was, as if anyone watching the conference finals needs to be told when the superbowl is.

As i've gotten older, i've realized it's better for all (me included) to just let people have their fun if they aren't truly hurting someone else. To each their own.

I want to see Tony's Pizza and whatever grocery store ads they have in Chicago. It was always a small opportunity to learn what makes another city tick and they've taken that away.

There's no real excuse during intermissions other than someone wants to talk about it.

In fairness, sometimes it's about whether the hit causing the injury was legal or not (eg clean check or illegal head shot).

One thing I hate is when they go to commercial break and then fix the ice with 50 seconds left in the period! I mean they’re fixing the ice with 1min left for what??????? More commercials?

If you were watching the NY Islanders feed on MSG the Kyron would disappear completely for half a period and occasionally the sound with it, when it returns it sometimes sounds like their broadcasting from one of the stalls in the bathroom, try following a game with that going on!

Bring back the pipe organs! Any piped in music at any time sucks. Is there anybody who’s paid $250 for their seat dying a 10 second snippet of Sweet Child o’ Mine? Does it add to the experience? Are they tweeting out, They’re playing Guns and Roses! The organs were great at building suspense in tight moments. You can’t do that with the White Stripes every friggin period.

Being a fan of a bad team, what annoys me are the national broadcasts where they either refuse to talk about my team or just talk about how the other team should be winning instead of how we are actually doing ok. The last one was pretty ok though.

Or being a fan of a smaller market. Jets playing against the leafs, I have to deal with with hearing the Sportsnet broadcasters talk their heads off about Toronto

If I was a neutral fan watching a game I'd expect the national broadcast to talk way more about the team that's actually relevant and also to acknowledge why the game is going a certain way. Sorry it bothers you but if your team is only winning because of unforced errors I'd expect the broadcast to point that out

For the Devils, the incorporation of gambling odds INTO the broadcast itself between periods. Erika Wachter telling you if your O/U 1p/2p cashed, and what the game is on pace for is a little much ontop of the ads everywhere else (and I'm someone who does bet for fun).

I’ll throw one in that is Sportsnet plus specific:
Not being able to choose which broadcast I want to watch. NHL Now used to let you pick between home or away (unless national broadcast obviously) I’d understand if they want you to watch the Sportsnet broadcast if they have one, but being a fan of an out of market team I’d rather hear the homer-ism of the team I cheer for than the one I don’t

    11. Any commentator on any network disrespecting any of the players on the ice

Are you one of those people who thinks no one who's never played in the NHL is allowed to be critical of an NHL player?
