That's why I detest Hockey Club so much. It sounds boring as hell. Pick a creative nickname like everyone else. And it's so lifeless and generic, it's almost impossible to come up with a logo that doesn't suck. Enough sterile text. I'm sick of it.
HC would be the dumbest choice in the history of sports. I don't care how little time they have to come up with a team name and logo. Just do it. HC is such a bad marketing choice if they do it.
Grizzlies name and the ECHL logo are amazing. Salt Lake Golden Eagles also sounds really really good. Yeti sounds like my 12 year old came up with it in one try. Mammoth is better, but it also sounds childish. #1 Grizzlies #2 Golden Eagles #3 Mammoth but a DISTANT distant 3rd place....no even close to Golden Eagles, but also I don't want to wear or buy Mammoth gear EVER...it's a childish name....I don't want woolly mammoths all over my clothes....what the hell do mammoths have to do with UTAH???? it's a seriously stupid name NEVER YETI...if your 10 year old can come up with it, it's probably a terrible name

Grizzlies is an 8 out of 10 Yeti is a 3 out of 10 Yeti fails...if a student came up to me with UTAH YETI I would say you get a 30% on your test. Utah Yeti is the FIRST THING a 14 year old would think of....
I absolutely hate Yeti as a team name. I like Mammoth because with the size of the team we have built its apt to picture a stampede of Mammoth flattening our opposition plus as you mentioned could do some really cool stuff with the logos etc. I don't mind any of the other names, love the new logos as well so simply keeping Utah HC is growing on me. Just anything other than Yeti 🤢
I disagree with you about the Outlaws team name. I think that it vibes well with me and is a team name that can hold weight for 20-30 years. What I believe the league is forgetting about the Outlaws name is how easily accessible and marketable this is for kids and to draw them into the arena. On top of that, if they made the "Bad To the Bone" song as their theme song, should they pick the Outlaws, that would be a great team name association that would hold weight for years to come. I don't see that with the other team names. The remaining names come off very corny to me. Just my two cents.
You ever hear someone misspeak and you automatically correct them in your head or out loud for clarity? Whenever I’ll hear yeti, I’ll think they mean Sasquatch. That’s my biggest issue with yeti. Also yetis as plural. There might be something wrong with me but I won’t be alone.

We’re using a name that’s not preferred in a region. At the same time , Sasquatch, and yeti (even though it’s all made up )is debatably not the same thing . But only one has connection with that region. So I will never hear Utah yeti and not correct in my mind as Utah Sasquatch.

Mammoth is clearly the best. i just dont like mythical creatures as team names. even more so the fact that the yeti mythology is not even an american or even North American thing its an asian mythology thats fro the Himalaya's. at least the Kraken makes some sense for Seattle with it's connection to the sea and fishermen being as its an old sailors myth. Yeti is terrible because i cant make it make sense

All 6 of these names are awful. My choice for a team name is the Utah Whales because there arent any Jaguars in Florida. Thats why.
