One of the most remarkable pieces of Hindustani music, immortalised by Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia and Ustad Zakir Hussain. I used to enthrall my American friends in NY with this, some twenty years back !
Awesome rendition by Pandit Chaurashia ji in Raag Jansammohini. I remember the most melodious composition of Nausaad saab from Dil Diya Dard Liya movie sung by great Rafi saab..... Koi sagar dil ko behlata nahin.... !! Jansammohini has most touching sur and this raag reminds that of Kalawati !!
Excellent. Zakir once said in an interview he used to prefer Hariprasad or Shiv Kumar for playing Tabla. Such a wonderful understanding and giving space to each legend to show their wonderful demonstration.
i suggest this music to all who have psychological disturbance , or who suffering from depression. listen once and realize your self. being a doctor i listen this music nearly 3 times everyday.
It is 7 beat Rupak in slow form sometimes we call Adda Rupak. There are enough space being filled up between each of the 7 beats. Closely watch how Zakir is filling up.
+max As far as I know the Raaga JanaSammohini ( the correct name, I've the Indian edition for this recording) is also called Shubha ( or Subha) Kalyan, The Morning Kalyan. The Subha word has the same meaning in arabic.
I keep coming back to this recording. ❤🙏🏽🎶
Can't have enough of this recording😁 pure bliss

I have been searching for this Rag Jansammohini version since at least 6 years! Finally found it! Thank you so much for the upload!
God bless!
This is the best Harijy and zakir together!!
Sweet and soothing, not surprising that Radha was hypnotized.
So Blissful!! _()_
I am mesmerized by the raga played Pt. Chaurasia.It touches the soul.
This is the reason why Krishna is my favorite Hindu God. Beautiful!
