chickens love it when you empty your bug zappers in their coups! its fun to watch them! glad you getting past the chaos looking forward to seeing you turn some bowls!!
sending you love and praying to the Father for your family, your house and all your projects. i just hear a song on the Christian radio -- the chorus: "It is going to all be worth it!!" you are blessed with good friends and a beautiful family.
It is good to see you posting. I am a turner also, but I like videos like this just as much as turning videos, so keep them coming. We moved from the city to the country last year, and it can be a challenge. It seems the work at a new place is never done.
Hi 👋, Kim and family, it is great to see you hard at work and your Homestead is coming along, I have been missing your Woodturning, have you managed to move in yet, I have been following a guy and is wife, they are well and truly self-sufficient, and he has a very good RUclips channel, explaining how he is preserving his food and freezing his products for next year, he has just recently bought him self a vacuum bag machine and he was explaining how better it was. Then another one he had., I think I’ve got this right this is a link to his RUclips , UHRC , Good luck for the future. I hope it all goes well. Look forward to seeing you woodturning at some point . PHIL FROM THE DARK SIDE OF THE MOULIN FRANCE,
Totally awesome to see your post this morning! Wishing you nothing but the best in the days ahead and to FINALLY get into your house! May the Lord bless you!
It's good to see you again, Kim. Looks like some progress but it's been a long haul for you and there's more to go. Keep in mind that deer can jump a four foot fence with no problem. Bill
Thanks for the update. It is really great to see a post from you again. We are concerned about your well being. It looks like things are beginning to come together for you and our prayers are with you. Your ideas are amazing.
Great report. Sounds and looks like you’re in the home stretch. I’m getting excited for you guys. Still praying the house comes together properly and you’re able to get in soon. The chickens are going to love that space. Take care.
Oh so nice to see you again !!! I'm sorry that you have been having so many problems with your new house. I have no doubt that God will pull you through, with maybe a little kicking and screaming, but as it is said, God's the source of all my good. Infinite are His channels, and miraculous are His ways. Hoping everything smooths out soon, and you can finally get moved into your new home. A big hello to your husband and the kids from Alaska. God bless you all.
So nice to hear from you again. Was thinking about you just a day or two ago wondering how you were coming on your home. It will be nice to see you turning again. I miss your videos. Have a great day and God bless.
Your chicken coop is the same size as the building my lathe is in. It was supposed to be a greenhouse, but I needed a place to turn so that became my little shop. I do like your rain collection system.
Kim, I see what you have in mind for your property. Here is a channel I think you will find interesting. They are good teachers and good people as far as I can tell. I hope you find this helpful. It's called Hollister and Nancy's homestead. They live in flordia so this should help with some of your ideas. Enjoy and God bless.
Hey Kim, what a pleasant surprise to see a video from you again. I'm really happy to see the progress going on there. Been thinking of you guys the other day wondering how things are going. Well, I'm planning on maybe getting vacant land to build on, so I might get tips and tricks from you. Great to see you are doing well.
Glad to see you’re making progress. On your chicken coop the white tie wraps do not have UV protectors in ithem and Will rot and break apart in about a year. So you should switch to the black ones when you can. They will last a whole lot longer. Do you know yet if you’re going to shut the garage up with your work shop are you going to hold off until you can make you a standalone workshop. Looking forward to see more progress.
Fantástico tu proyecto Kim, hermoso lugar donde vives junto a ti familia y, también bellos trabajos en tu torno, bendiciones a la distancia desde Valdivia chile, atte Vladimir Esparza Rodríguez.
Its great to hear from you and it seems things are moving right along. Im out of the loop so have yall been able to move into the new house? Take care!
Thanks! Unfortunately not. We are 165 days past the contract date. We have been given 8 C.O. dates and all have came and gone. I am just trying to keep busy building stuff while we wait.
Hi Kim, it’s good to see you again, have missed seeing your woodworking videos, but enjoy seeing the updates on your property. Are you going to put a roof over the chicken run? How long has it been since the contractor started building your house? Sending prayers your way.
Hi kim It's been a long time since your last video. I hope you, your family and your children are well. I wish you health and success in your artistic works. As I told you since the last time, I am looking for artists to share my paintings with😊😊😊
So nice to hear from you. You and your family have been on my heart lately. I really hope your house is done. It should have been completed months ago. Your contractor, from the last time we heard from you, is a disaster. Yes, I'm qualified to make that statement. I've been in residential building for 40+ years. The plandemic was an excuse for lousy project management.
Oh man. This build is an absolute mess. We are currently fighting to get our tile re done because they didn't install it to building code. None of the seems of the USG or Permabase, were taped and mudded. We already have cracks in the corners. The drywall is still a hot mess. The fixes get worse and worse. The builder is not responding to our emails. We are not sending certified letters. The A/c has been running for a month. We are paying to cool a house we can't live in. The list goes on. I am going to make a video about it soon. pray for us. We are spent.
Lord knows. We have been given 8 different dates and all have come and gone. Lots of issues that will have to be addressed before we can move in. Praying for a resolve soon.

I would love some oak! But, I live in Colorado and can't afford shipping because the VA won't give me benefits.
How much more do you have before the house is totally finished?
Lord knows.
