Thank you Vanessa. I never heard of the term 'modal verb' until I watched this video. This is why sometimes the phrases that uses 'modal verb' sounds weird to my ears and sometimes pleasant.

I think I know when Americans use shall and it is a beautiful and motivational phrase, the entire USA Anthem I must say: "And the star-spangled banner in triumph shall wave, o'er the land of the free and the home of the brave!". In these hard times, I use to sing the Star-spangled banner everyday because it helps me to keep going on. I'm new here. I learned about your channel through the English with Lucy channel. I learned easily these kind off modals verbs but i was puzzled at the beginning because i could not understand the function of: "would" then i started to read a a bunch of things and because of the contexts i could pick up this information and nowadays became piece of cake.
