MTB U I’m in a similar situation to you, thinking of transitioning from my 32.8 lb Specialized Stumpjumper Evo to this beautiful bike. I think even though this bike has more travel it will climb better because it has a steeper seat angle and head tube angle. It’s also almost 3lbs lighter 😅 I think I’m going to go with the size large b/c I’m 5’8” and will definitely be growing more. It might not be quite as stable on straight fast downhills as my Stumpjumper, but I might be able to actually get around some of the tight berms at my local trails
@@MTBUtah Went out of stock then suddenly came back for a few hours but I was lucky to order one! Cant wait! I was about to get the Yeti SB165 when I thought I'm not gonna be able to get a YT.
@@stonksrgud7645 yes. I actually upgraded to Pro Race 27. I ordered in July 25, I got it on August 19. Never had a chance to ride the trails yet. I'm out of town next week and hoping I'll get a chance to finally try it.
You are definitely close to either range. One thing I did was compare all of the specs online of the Capra sizes to my previous frame size. This should give you a good idea of the relative size compared to your Trek. If the size is to similar to your Trek go with the Large Capra. Hope that helps. They also have a two week no dirt testing return policy.
Heeey, congrats on your new bike! Just ordered mine, but in black! I am 187cm (6’1”) , and I also ordered XL size according to YT chart - I fit right in the middle of the XL size ( 183-193cm). Do you think it’s the right size and not the XXL ( starting from 192 cm / 6’4”)? Thanks!
The difference between the Pro and Elite is simply that the Elite has way better components like a fox 38 on the front. At 5’10 a large seems like a good fit.
How do you like it, looking at getting it used now for my go to all around bike bike park and trail, was gonna go prorace but i feel maybe the pro will be enough, is it poppy, can you hit all drops ad jumps and rolls with it
I really enjoy it. On the downs and chunk it’s awesome. I also enjoy the feel on the drops that I’ve done. When I am jumping on a flowy downhill it’s great, but it might not be poppy enough for some bike parks.

29' is a lot difference in the corners. Try to ride faster or do some tricks, or jump some gap jumps. Have 29' bike and thinking to switch to the 27,5 for more playfull and fun riding.
Nadav Gil it’s hard to say but I could see how a coil could make a difference. I’m loving the Capra 29 but if you are looking for more playful 27.5 might be your best bet. I haven’t ridden a Clash, so I’m not sure how it compares.
I’m 5’8” and looking to get 27.5 capra. Im smack dab in the middle of M or L. What size do you think I should get? I currently have a Giant Stance 1 29er medium.
That's a toughy. One thing I did was compare all of the specs online of the Capra sizes to my previous frame size. This should give you a good idea of the relative size compared to your Giant Stance. MTB U Yeah I forget which were kind of the same but it some geometry specs weren’t too far off for both M or L. It was either reach was the same as Medium or the top tube was the same so on and so fourth. I emailed YT hopefully they have an idea of what size is best for me. Thanks man!

For me there is too much talk, americans do love to hear themselves talk though, and at a sound level which is not very pleasant. Maybe the mic needs to be moved or there is some echoes.
I get it. I was so torn between the two. If you love to mosh on the downs, go with the Capra. If you enjoy the trails all around both up and down, go with the Jeffsy. Honestly you can’t lose either way.
@@MTBUtah jeffsy it is! I do mix of stuff but I have to pedal alot of uphill to get to the downhill part. I also just cycle around my town so I guess I wont need that 170mm of travel then. I just need to wait until they are back in stock..
Yeah man, sounds like the Jeffsy would be a great fit. There are days where I would enjoy having one for sure. Hopefully they will get some in stock soon!!
Great Video, love the video in video action. Great lighting, and sound.

How do you like it? Can it climb?
This video is so well put together with good audio, video, and great info. Thanks so much!

Nice new setup! glad you are enjoying your new YT

Yep there are a few spots that will get you haha. I’ve taken a few spills on it as well.
Hey those frame cable protectors that go in the frame and stop the cable from making noise have they been any trouble because they look kinda iffy
Hi, Can you give your first ride impression on the RS lyric select? Looking for reviews on this fork or comparison to fox fork. Thanks!
It’s been great. I was a little skeptical at first myself but it rides nice. Not too much sag and not too stiff. Feels just right.
@@MTBUtah thanks
I’m 5 “11- 5 “11 and a half idk if I should go large or XL on Capra. I have an XL trek and it feels a bit long to control around corners.

Yeah I’ve been able to take it out a few times and can tell a difference. The 29’ rolls over chunk easier and the 27.5’ is more playful for sure.

it’s because your suspension is to soft.
