Spine transfers are, honestly, one of my favorite things to do in any skatepark!
Actually I learned it before I learned to even drop in, because I thought it seemed easier 😅! Made dropping in not so tough 🤔!

JB!!! I cannot tell you how grateful I am for your content. I'm 45 and just started skating consistently again after 20 years. My 2 kids got the fire going and now we're hitting our local park twice a week and different parks all around southern California on the weekends. I got backside 50/50s and early grab backside airs over coping this week thanks to you my man!! Godspeed!!

Seeing you ollie over spines has blown my mind man. I don't know why but when I air over them, I just try to have my head over my front foot a bit more, charge it, and I just push myself myself over to the other side. I'll have to give this a try.

Can never fault your tutorials JB, always the best👌
    Came back to edit this.
You've done the roll in, crossing the spine any chance of covering air over the spine? No grab and grab.
Something clicked last night when you say pump up and into the transition and I totally get it now. I've been using too much speed and not leaning back into the pump enough to control my entry made sense on quite a few things last night by learning to control my my entry speed. Worked a treat on pivots and 50's where I end up coming off the back onto the platform.👌

I see I am a little late in finding your channel! GREAT tips! I am a 48 yr old and used to skate heavy in the late 80's into the mid 90's. I would say I was about average in skill then. I picked skating back up 2 months ago and found skating has changed quite a bit! I have adjusted to the smaller boards (I use 8.5, used 10X30 wayy back) using 60mm wheels (Original Bones Swiss and Bones Swiss Ceramic bearings, I switch off) now which are probably big for the skaters younger than me. Anyway, skate parks in my area (Pennsylvania) are still mostly wooden and not concrete. I tend to pick up tooo much speed and end up slamming a lot. Watching your channel is inspiring me to stick with it and try to get better. Wish I could get a skate lesson from you guys, slamming hurts more now than it did when I was younger! lol Keep making these videos please, one watch and I learned some things already!! I want to get better. Thanks for the tips!

Better than Braille (no offense they’re just more joy oriented, inspiration vs information)!

Love the content, but I feel like you're trying to hard to sound scripted JB. Look at other popular skate channels - they flourish by letting their personalities shine through. You don't seem like a boring guy, and you sound really warm in the out takes. Shine a little of that light and see how it goes.
