Why would you take out a working light bulb out of the socket when its not burned out.

This is group replacement, in some cases it is better idea because all lamps are replaced by new ones and diffirenties between light output from another older ones don't occur here because all lamps are new, also bucket truck needn't visit same place few times in the year because all lamps are new, in individual replacement some older lamps in same place can dead and maintainced guys need to visit again it to repair it

We replace it every four years whether it’s working or not.

Uff, good question. It’s from Philips; as for whether it comes from Belgium or China, I can’t say. I believe it is manufactured in China because the delivery time is quite long.

I think personally that the big lamp makers create dilivery problems with the old lamp technology, to push all the customers to led fixtures and solutions

@@Skyworkss Philips still produce most of their HIDs in Belgium, quartz MH HPI-T and some SON-T lamps without PiA technology are made in china.
Today Philips quality unfortunely take down, earlier lamps have much longer lifespan. From current produce lamps the best ones (high pressure sodium and metal-halides) are from GE/tungsram, better lifespan and quality than today Philips
