I actually have a funny story about this game. When I was on a band trip we stopped a pizza hut to get dinner and there was a combo Mrs. Pac-Man / Galaga machine there and since Galaga was my favorite arcade game I went to play it. Every time i entered a quarter, instead of taking me to the start of the level it brought up a debug screen. After wasting my quarters trying to get it to work, i got fed up and in the debug menu I switched it to freeplay. After I finished playing, two kids came up behind me and I told them not to waste their quarters and just play since I had changed it. I still wonder how much money they lost on that machine because they refused to fix it...
Same kind of machine my local pizza place (but not Pizza Hut) used to have at Papa Gino’s, our New England pizza chain. Now it’s probably just a claw machine
I don’t see too many arcades where I am from let alone any retro machines. One time my girlfriend and I went to the mall and we stopped at an arcade and it had mostly claw machines even a couple UFO catchers imported from Japan but, in one corner there was one of those PAC-MAN/Galaga machines that have a light board instead of a CRT or even a digital screen for that matter. It was neat but it was not very well suited for Galaga, for the control panel was too close to the light board and you ended up having to look up and down to see the aliens or your ship. Though it was not very good for playing Galaga, it still was kinda neat.
Fun fact: galaga is part of strangereal universe set far into the future after ace combat 3. This retro arcade game is part of the ace combat franchise.
Galaga will always have a special place in my heart. The sci-fi vibe, the exciting gameplay, the compelling music, the endless imagination of it all. We may have many updated opinions on what a good video game is today, but to me, this was the golden age of gaming. Thank you for this ballade of bitchin Galaga Vibes!
A "good" game is one built for love of it, with inspiration and joy as its chief guiding principles. amount of pixels, complexity, hardware, and so on mean nothing. A handful of well made pixels can knock a pile of badly made retraced 3d mass-produced gibberish out every time. Quality beats quality, and Galaga certainly has quality.
T3471.....you've officially turned something simple as GALAGA....into a dream. How you do it, I'll never know. But....you did it, and for that, I can't thank you enough.
Maybe it's the vibe of staying up WAAAAY too late, but I'm really enjoying this song. I never heard the original, but you may have convinced me to get the game.
@@elatee arcade1up has a machine with 14 games: 6 pacman games, galaga, galaxian, galaga 88 and a few others, if i remember it's about 450 dollars and even has online leaderboards
For peeps who are looking at that 3D cool looking Galaga ship. It came from this new game from Bandai Namco called Galaga Wars to celebrate Galaga's 35th anniversary! Don't believe me? Search it up. Also Btw, I cannot believe that you made Galaga's tune into a golden remix! Good job!
Jesus man....you blow me away...this is beautiful, you knocked it out of the park! The remixes are amazing, and I’m glad to see the opening up of other games! Keep doing what you feel is right, I’m behind you all the way 😊
I had(and still have) a plug and play console with this and a couple other Namco games on it. This game I sunk so much time in. I actually started my own arcade like place and we have one of those multiple in one cabinets we put in one of the games that stoped working with this game on it, whenever there’s no costumers I play galaga. It and Mappy are my two favorite arcade games. There both so addicting
I remember when i was a bit younger i had listened to a like 30s remix of the galaga intro and for the longest time i thought that was going to be the best i get but, wow was i wrong this remix is so amazing i am blown away! wish i had fond this sooner :3 thank you for this masterpiece
THIS IS THE BEST THEME REMIX EVER! I remember about a year ago I went on a trip to georgea and the place where we stayed had a mrs pac man and Galaga thing. I loved it. thx.
I was born in 2000 and i love this game It's in one of my top 5 when it comes to Retro games and I play a lot of retro game But this one is my favorite. I wish I was born in the golden age of arcades It would have been amazing
People playing apex and fortnite and cod on their Samsung fridges and cold War on their tablets and all the others but this brings me back. To the galaga thermostat times ,oh the adventures I had with this game.
Used to stay up late with my brother playing Galaga Arrangement from namco museum for the PS2 during summer break. We would keep track of how much money we would have spent If we were playing it at an actual arcade. I gotta set up my PS2 one of these times and possibly make a video playing the "arrangement" versions of Galaga, Dig Dug, and Pac-Man.
A new space movie is announced and there is no leaks, no hint, not even the main producers say anything about it then one day on TV, RUclips, or any other video platform all of a sudden this starts playing and the word Galaga shows up followed by the incoming ships of the series with the released date formed by the enemies of Galaga. It sold out within 2 days
I legit only found out about Galaga a few months ago, and am already obsessed with it and basically the majority of retro games. Bought a NES about a month ago and I love is jsjsjsjsjs 💗🎮
A beautiful remix of the classic game main theme but you should do more for classic games music. this also brings me back to when I had played this game with a bundle of Pac-man
I even made a CVS photo book on the D-League / G-League franchise history mostly pertaining to the Asheville Altitude I called it " Blue Ridge Basketball "
Same man. I'm only 17 but I have major nostalgia for this game because I would always play it on an arcade cabinet at the dentist's office. Who says you have to be old to have nostalgia for old games if you played them as a kid too?
aaawww increible remix, muy bien hecho simplemente maravilloso y nostalgico c,: tienes mucho talento, no se si me respondas pero me gustaria usar tu remix para un video que estoy haciendo :D

Same kind of machine my local pizza place (but not Pizza Hut) used to have at Papa Gino’s, our New England pizza chain. Now it’s probably just a claw machine
I work at an Entertainment center with an arcade section, and we have the same Mrs. Pacman/Galaga machine

Memories of playing Galaga, Pac-Man, Dig Dug II and Mappy on Namco Museum DS are just flooding back.
Same!
You're not the only one! I started playing Namco Musuem DS again after many days and months!
One of my favorites. Great Job.❤❤❤
I remember one Galaga machine at the Mall of America had a score so high on the scoreboard it was just a bunch of symbols instead of numbers!
That might just be a glitch since that happens on a lot of arcade games for me on MAME
Oh man that sounds amazing.. my score was always in the top 5..
Brings be back nearly 10 years ago
10 yeara lol. Try 30 years 🤤

This is so awesome. One of my favorite arcade games is Galaga! :)
I've recently been hooked on Galaga Wars, and have been a fan of the game for about a week. Been saving credits to get the FX-01.

Retro perfection!
