This may be the most helpful FP video I have seen. It is clear that he understands the struggle when he says things like "Don't worry how you're crankbaitin' you're doing it right". I have a couple of accounts 40+ between pc and mobile and still had almost every question this video intended to answer😂 Thank you so much for your content. Especially for us free-to-play players, every little thing just matters MORE in a way so it means a lot
For 3 dot popping retrieval, I've found 3 speed on the rod helps, do 2 reel in rotations, pull it up fully and let it do the 2nd pop animation, as soon as you see and hear that 2nd pop let go of your left trigger (L2 on ps) you'll have some slack in the line, which is what you want because if the fish bite they'll be able to take off with it, that's when you set the hook, wait about 2 Mississippi's, do 2 rotations of the reel. Rinse and repeat, can do it on 2 speed but 3 is just better for me.
Essentially, you want it to POP across the surface of the water with as little REELING across the water as possible, think of it like whack a mole in the fish's eyes.
I definitely found ending with a large pull after you stop reeling in helped in the everglades, though I could only get 2dots. I'd start to reel in, do a quick pop then a longer pull and stop reeling in while doing the final pull... like the frog just kicked the bucket :P
Have you ever covered how to best determine when to set the hook when a fish only partially ingests the lure? I used to miss far more fish because I reacted too quick; but now I wait a couple secs - sometimes the rod will move slightly upward when it's time to set the hook, but not always. Just wondering if there are any indicators I might be missing. I know when the indicator bar shows there's too much slack out is always time to pull back ...but of course you'll lose the fish if you always wait for that to show up.
Yeah, I made somewhat of a video covering this, though I didn't get into any specifics, just one way I found that could improve your hook sets - ruclips.net/video/l8inYChlIXg/видео.html
Very Nice! One question, maybe someone has tips: With heavier lures (e.g. spoons) I do often have the issue where they hit bottom before I can start reeling them in and it takes quite a while to get stop and go working properly. Any way of preventing this? Maybe reeling in faster? I tend to go for 2 speed.
Start with rod tip low, higher/est reel speed. As you begin the retrieve, raise the rod tip (with aim not trigger/mouse button) until at the depth you want then lower reel speed. It will take a couple of tries to get how fast to move etc but if you're quick with the reel speed change you'll have the idea in just 2 or 3 casts. I only comment this to help anyone else with the same question
With a heavier lure, they sink faster... So heavier lures will hit bottom frequently when cast into shallower depths. If you cast them into deeper spots, you should have time to catch them before they hit bottom. If you're on Xbox, just hold A as you start reeling after the lure hits the water. This will give you full cranking speed (4) for a long as you are reeling and holding A. Once you let go of A, reel speed will drop to whatever setting you have it at on the reel normally. Combine holding A with holding left trigger to raise the rod tip, and you'll get heavy lures off the bottom very quickly.
@@Noit27 well, that’s what I was trying to remember. I usually try to not use any DLC rods outside of playing the DLC map, that way people can copy my load outs without needing a DLC
If it's not showing *_anything,_* you're probably not doing any one thing consistently enough for the game to recognize what you're trying to accomplish. If you get the right movement combination going for three to five seconds in a row, it should recognize a pattern and "score" it (1/2/3 bubbles) accordingly.
I cant find information about equipment, what goes with what together , cant assemble simple efective rod.. there is no explanation what item do what.. ..
@@BoAnglesSame for me with walking. Can get 2 really easy, but have only seen 3 for a brief second one or twice. Hours of trying different speeds and timings and just can't work out a way to hit and keep 3.

Thanks for the tips! My twitching technique is waaaay better now. Love your vids, keep up the awesome work!
I can’t get my twitch to work with this method what am I doing wrong?
cool video. I've caught a lot of fish with spoons just doing a 3dot straight slow in the middle of the water column.

Thank you very much. Greetings from Bavaria
Oh, thank God! I have been fighting with everything other than Stop&Go and Twitching. This video should be placed on Fishing Planet Wiki!
Popping works better if you hold the ride to the side so it jerks the rod sideways instead of up
Thanks for making this, I asked about this in the livestream a few days ago
Double and triple pops works great for me
Exellent exellent video dude, good for the game and real game..
Fishing Planet should have a link to this channel in the game for new players 🎣
im watching your video in 2024 and its amazing ! it helps me a lot

nice vid! do you think youll do anymore of the competitions on live?
Always a possibility!
I've actually had great luck with the buzzbait with a soft plastic just like you use the spinnerbait... not as a surface lure
