I found this incredibly bright little light on Amazon. It replaced my mini mag-light as my EDC flashlight. With a new AA Energizer, it'll run 2 solid hours on high before dimming to useless level. It has a second dimmer setting and a strobe effect.

I'm a Plumber & I carry this wee torch with me everywhere. Like you I waited for a while for delivery but it was worth it, it's robust we'll made. So I'd recommend it. Thanks for sharing.

I was skeptical at first when I purchased this flashlight, and I must say it blew my expectations. The size is perfect and Its brightness is to be expected from $50+ torches. Its also IPX4 water resistant which means it can withstand rain and snow.

Just got this based on your recommendation. I got the option of the flashlight, charger, and a battery. It was $12 and it was fulfilled by Amazon so I got it in two days with Prime. I'm pretty impressed, especially compared to last $3 flashlight that I had that was junk. I'll probably end up order a few more for the wife, cars, and some back-ups.

Thanks Eric. Mine is still going strong and I carry it almost every day. As soon as I get the kitchen remodel completed, I'm going to post my bug-out-bags that I'm putting together. I already have a get-home-bag in my car so that worst case scenario I can start walkin.

This is great. My cheapo EDC flashlight broke a while back. I've wanted to get something better, but didn't want to spend a bunch of money on something. I'll have to pick this up!

How long did the shipping happen to take for you; I ordered mine on the 31

I ordered it August 29 and got it Sept 25, so it took a month. The other reviews explained that, so I was expecting it to take a while.

It's enough bright for around the house or neighborhood but with AA 1.5v battery, it's only around 70 lumens.
    With 14500, it's little over 150 lumens.
Overstated rating but still pretty bright.

It gets closer to actually being 300 lumens (even though it isn't) if you run it with a 14500 lithium battery.

Many people are (and should be) concerned about batteries. I have heard that certain types of batteries will melt in these types of flashlights. I will assume regular AA batteries are best since 14500 (goofy-name) batteries are not reliable...I guess that depends on who's experience as well.

Why can't I get the strobe light feature to work on mine? I push it once to turn the light on, if I push the button again it just turns the light back off.

Not sure what to tell you. Mine clicks between bright, dim, and flash with a soft tap on the button. Don't click it all the way down to shut it off, just a half push.

I guess mine is slightly different. I checked it out on my order. I ordered one identical visually, but it only turns on and off. And then it has that focus and broad beam.

you have the one mode flashlight, they sell them in either 1 or 3 mode versions. even if advertised 3-mode, they can "accidentally" send the other one...

Yeah I realized after looking back later on, that I had ordered the single mode version. Still a great deal and I don't regret the purchase.

I bought 7 of these from Amazon @ $3.65 ea. Unfortunately the quality does vary-- I would consider 3 to be "good" and 4 "bad" with lower output and/or a deformed lens that creates a halo effect. Its about 2/3 the brightness of my 137 lumens light, but it has a nice wide throw and for the price I would consider it a pretty good deal. Especially considering it runs on one battery-- I have one tucked in every car, bicycle, toolbox, etc.

I can see how there would be a few duds in any batch at this price. Mine has been flawless for about a year now. The only odd thing is that when you focus the beam down to a point you see the square image of the lamp element which is odd.

Matt KnowsThat about that square image, it's not so odd, really. same thing actually happens with any light that has a lens in front, it projects the image of the bulb filament/light element forward. an old penlight bulb would be a good example.
