Interesting to see my "old office" the first tower in this video. Worked there in the early 1970's. PSA and Air West parked in front of us. We thought we had a pretty good view back then but the airport has expanded greatly in the last fifty years.
I was a controller at SFO in the early 90’s. It’s interesting to see how the airport has changed but still runs like it did back then. Thanks for posting this. I brought back great memories.
This definitely deserves a thumbs up. My favorite part was the side-by-side touchdown of Virgin and Alaska. I bought a 27" HD screen so that I could edit my own videos better. However you footage fills up my screen so beautifully. I am not a plane spotting videographer, but I know a good video when I see one. BTW: Isn't it ironic that in an age of digital recording we still use terms like "footage".
Not sure. Someone I knew was able to get a group of us up there before it became operational, and I heard other groups besides ours visited the tower for to take pictures, I believe the FAA was just being nice to spotters.

Exactly!! I don't understand why they can't build us a special spot and all of us will gladly pay a fee for it. It would be a win win for everybody.
