I followed all these steps as I have been using sewing machines for years. I couldn't take my machine to the dealer as they were closed due to the lockdown. I checked for burrs on the throat plate and bobbin race then, just as I was about to give up as I had no more embroidery needles, I decided I had nothing to lose by trying a Universal needle 90/14. Amazing! That solved all the shredding issues. So, Universal needles from now on and my machine purrs along beautifully.
i have a brother se1900 that little fork like spring has broken off completely and thread shreds and jumps off is there a way i can fix it i cant find that part is above no. 6. ty

had you bought a new needle or was it the ones that came with that machine? i still have this issue

It keeps on happening on my industrial juki ddl-227! It’s a catastrophe😱
