I wanted to thank you for your video, this helped me out immensely. I was experiencing the same thing you did, machine working fine and then couldn’t quilt more than 100-150 stitches. Changed the needle twice, checked for fuzz under the needle plate, checked the tension again, retimed the machine, etc. After watching your video, I checked the thread guides and there it was, the dreaded burr. Sanded it smooth and I was finally able to finish a row without any breakage. Never once thought to check there. Thank you so much for sharing this information!!

So glad it helped you. It nearly drove me made trying to fins the cause. When I found it I just knew I had to share what I knew.

I went through what you are talking about and did all the usual fixes ten times over and nothing worked. Did as you suggested and instantly fixed! Thank you!

Wow! I’ve been dealing with this and getting so frustrated! I took my pigtail right off to get a good look, and sure enough there was a big groove in it! Turned it 180° and just did a perfect row, after 4 rows with 9 breaks/shreds! Thank you so much for sharing. Now I will have fun again when I go into the studio! 😊. Might just buy a spare from my dealer to have on hand!

That's great that this helped. I feel your pain with the breakages what's what made me look and inspect the different areas the thread ran through. So glad you have solved such an annoying problem. Happy to help
