Size 14/90. And that goes for all domestic machines. It does depend on the fabric you use. Heavier fabric like denim needs a longer stitch length like 3.5 A blue tip stretch needle and a walking g foot with good quality thread usually fixes these problems. Top & bobbin thread should be from the same reel of thread.
Use a blue tip stretch needle, a stretch stitch and a walking foot. Top & bobbin thread should be from the same spool. Make sure the thread is not old and snaps easily when pulled.
It means your machine has tension problems, like many do, mine included. It needs a service and tell the mechanic the problem. All sewing machines need a regular service, once a year or so, depending how much it's used. If used every day, it may need a service every 6-8 months or so. When something not right, it needs a service.
Hello! I have janome memory craft 9000 sewing machine upper thread is pulling through to the bottom some time, some time no please help me to solve this problem.
this is a great video! but I checked everything you suggested, as well as suggestions in another video (not as good as yours) and my thread is STILL breaking. AGH!
Darn! Is it happening with a particular spool of thread? Sometimes older thread will break more frequently if it's been sitting in a place with a lot of sunlight, was stored in a very humid area, or even a overly dry area.
I brought a temporal sowing machine to sow fitted sheets and frill that with the the sheet but I don't know how to start got no experience how the to work the machine in a beginner
It might be better to use a thread stand that sits beside your machine. This will allow the thread to draw vertically off the spool and achieve the same purpose as a horizontal spool pin.

Use a walking foot and it sounds like you are using the wrong needle. A blue tip stretch needle would solve skipped stitches.

My Empisal dress maker doesn't have a horizontal spool. Can these be bought and attached?

How do I differentiate the wrong needle from the right needle?
Have changed needle twice, checked everything still breaking.....
My sewing machine only has a vertical spool pin.
