Thank you so much for helping me with this problem thaw ice berm having. In my country (Trinidad and Tobago) we also call it masking tape. May God continue to grow you in much knowledge.
I think in the US that would be similar to masking tape or maybe painters tape. It must give the presser foot a little traction on the slippery fabric. Pretty cool.
You're so correct Doctor_AI. The tape gives the presser foot some traction. Yes. It's also called masking tape or painters tape here too. Thank you so much for the feedback.
Thank you! I just got a sewing machine. I was practicing with different types of scrap fabric to learn about it and I was surprised to find out it would not sew stretch fabric at all.
If you have a Teflon foot, it’s designed to be used on slippery fabric. They are on eBay for £1.50 …..they are manufactured in china. Also, the masking tape leaves a sticky residue on the bottom of the foot when you take it off. The tape sometimes folds up when sewing.
I have tried your masking tape tip and am so so impressed. Thank you thank you. You should teach google how to solve skipping stiching in stretchy material. They did not help me much.
Wow I'll try this cos each time I'm working on a strechy fabric i normally use the first method you showed and i it's too stressful and the sewing aren't too neat as i want cos I'll have to sew on the paper which makes it hard to see the line I'm following but with this method I'll definitely try this
Yes. Candle also works but just like the paper method, it can be time consuming because you have to rub the candle all around the area where you want to sew.
I think you should stop the video and replay it for perfect sound. Because there's no any music as I'm listening to it currently. There's probability that another video's music interrupted this tutorial on your end. Best wishes!
Thank you bro for this tip. In my opinion, you should skip the lengthy details and go straight to the point, most of your videos are unnecessary lengthy, I have to skip skip skip to the part where you're giving the important detail. This video for instance shouldn't be longer than a minute but you somehow dragged it to 8 whole minutes
You're most welcome Prince David. Your suggestions are duely noted and we'll put it into consideration. The reason why our videos might look detailed is because our content is targeted for beginners, intermediate, and advanced audience. Some of the part you feel is unnecessary might be very valuable to a beginner who wants background knowledge about an issue. So incase you come across a part of a video that's too detailed, you can skip to the part you want to watch. Thanks for the feedback.
@@luyasiplease we love the long videos like that, it’s not just about showing us hacks but letting us know why it’s needed. And thank you for all you do🙏

Yes it does. There are some stretch fabrics that an industrial machine will not sew that the manual machine will sew easily without the paper or the tape. In the case where the manual machine faces the same issue, you can use the same method to solve the problem.
@luyasi Thank you so much bro Luyasi. I am a beginner and i face the challenge of my thread always gathering under the fabric. It is really frustrating. I am using a New Home white head machine. Please give some solutions. Thanks
The issue is from the threading either from the Bobbin case or shuttle as it's popularly called or from the above thread. The Bobbin case thread might not be well threaded. Ensure that the thread passes through the hole on the Bobbin case also ensure that there's enough tension on the thread. You can tighten the thread tension on the Bobbin case.
I'm a newbie, just 2 months into sewing as a profession,I already sew bubu dresses and hawk in the markets.but I have this prob with very tiny stitch lengths, how do I fix the problem of having very short short stich lengths having some bumps on the stitches?😢plis help
Okay. There should be a lever on the machine with some numbers on it. That's where you can adjust the stitch width. Adjust it to the desired width. Normal stitch width is between 2, 2.5, to 3.
That issue will be from the presser foot regulator. Loosen it up a little so that it can create more room for the fabric to move. The issue can also be from the size of the needle just like HouseofMolake suggested. Getting a higher size needle can solve it.
I would have loved to watch this video but the music made it impossible. Your tone of voice is lower than the music. And further away from the mic than how the music was recorded it seems, you sound very far away compared to the music

Your thread isn’t well passed. Check your shuttle too, there might be particles inside it.

Okay. what type of sewing machine do you use? Is it a manual, an electric or an industrial sewing machine?
It's manual electric
Okay. There should be a lever on the machine with some numbers on it. That's where you can adjust the stitch width. Adjust it to the desired width. Normal stitch width is between 2, 2.5, to 3.
Couldn’t hear the beginning because of the intrusive music.

Anyone in South Africa who is willing to donate a sewing machine for me please😰🤩
My machine doesn’t sew on thick fabric
Have you considered using size 18 which is designed for heavy fabrics?
That issue will be from the presser foot regulator. Loosen it up a little so that it can create more room for the fabric to move. The issue can also be from the size of the needle just like HouseofMolake suggested. Getting a higher size needle can solve it.
Get a singer old version machine with greeze nd thank me later
You're right. Those old singer machines are very strong and effective.
❤❤❤
Thank you so much Magret.
This is a waste of time.. just get a machine repairer and ask him to set it to sew all fabrics.. simple as ABC!
Lolzz. It's a little bit more complex than that. Repairers can only fix the machine when it malfunctions. They can't make it sew stretch fabrics.
I would have loved to watch this video but the music made it impossible. Your tone of voice is lower than the music. And further away from the mic than how the music was recorded it seems, you sound very far away compared to the music
The music cuts off at 0:55. After that the tutorial is clear and audible, without music.
I thought industrial machine can sew anything sewable💁💁
Not really. Industrial machines usually have problem sewing certain types of fabrics especially stretch fabrics like jerseys and sportswear.
See me thinking it can sew stretchy fabric except sequince
