  • It will inevitably happen that you will be late a few times in a rally or a match. What you do to make the best out of those situations, however, will set you apart from the rest.

    As always, thanks for watching! This list of last-minute alternatives is definitely not exhaustive, so feel free to suggest something to add onto it. Who knows, maybe I might make a 2nd video on the topic?
    Also, this should be the last video with such poor audio! Finally/hopefully...

      I don't understand what you want to say about heel (1 shot for forehand)? Heel must to land the ground first?

    • @OlavKTTT
      @OlavKTTT  5 месяцев назад

      I meant that you should not land with the heel first, but with the front of your foot when you take this step.

    Goede info hartelijk bedankt. In het deel over slide M info die ik nog nooit gehoord heb. Bij long push zon simpel concept maar zelf nooit bij stilgestaan. De video was de moeite.👍

    Awesome video as always! Could you do some video about your gym workouts and how much can you lift without affecting your table tennis trainings? Thanks

    Best video so far. Great first part with good and bad examples in particular. Maybe the last videos were a bit quick and too much - I think I would use some slowmotion there next time in order to make your point. I once again loved the clumpsyness. Looking at a flamingo will never be the same again. What could be interesting is a video about receiving tactics.

    I think this video applies more to situations where the ball is out wide and you dont have time to jump out and hit the idea shot with perfect technique. However, could you also make a video where you go over what to do when you don't have time to get away from the ball? (when its it hit to your elbow) This is what I struggle the most with, and what I notice most of the pros struggle with as well! A ball out wide is impossible to recieve sometimes, but a ball hit powerfully to you elbow! it seems like a rocket that you should be able to recieve easily, it was hit straight to you! but alas, it travels to you elbow, your racket crosses up, and you dont even hit the ball. such a frustrating situation! please let me know what you think about a video covering how to cover you middle better. It is probably the biggest problem besides technique and service tactics that people struggle with.

      You'll find a little bit of what you want in 2 videos that I made: The Massive Game pt. 1 (keypoint: keep your movements short and controlled) and What to do when you're really Too Late (slide in middle). So not only this video, but also the Passive Game video. Hope this helps

    Hi there. Thanks for the tips, and the good quality video. Taking the issue of being late from the other side, do you have any advise on how to avoid being late in the first place, especially when you're not that young, fast and athletic as yourself? (ready position recovering, ball tracking, analysing opponents posture to "anticipate" his next shot...)

      @OlavKTTT  8 месяцев назад +1

      I'd say those are all good options, but in general you're going to be late anyway. Everybody will be. Maybe an extra suggestion: if you play down the line,make sure to move to the other side of the table a bit to 'close' the other corner
