One of my favorite bookshelf tours I've watched because of the context you set up but also just a great collection.

I love how curated your collection is, only books that have impacted you or books you hope will.
On another note, I'd love to hear more about your own poetry -- hoping one day you will release a poetry reading video that's all about your original work!

What a beautiful collection; very happy the algorithm led me to you! And as a Mona Awad stan/apologist (I rated Rouge 5 stars) I totally agree seeing her books translated into films. I think many people overstate things as being Lynchian, but I really feel there is something very Lynchian about the world building and philosophies of her books.

Ahhh you have the most excellent collection! Im also very obsessed with this new bookshelf, so so cute (and also have been intentionally putting off playing in the dark and the source of self regard too! I just wanna study her more before getting there!)

thank you kat!! i feel like i’m getting close to being able to read playing in the dark, but i think i want to read another 1 or 2 of her novels first

Ah I loved this tour. I love a lot of the same writers as you! I have never read any Maggie Nelson - would you recommend I start with Bluets?

In a case of quality over quantity you start with what appears to be a "modest" collection only to reveal that the books in it are all packed with ideas and forms of art and ecstasy whether one "agrees" with them all or not - congratulations! 👍 You have goldfinches in Jersey City?! 😮 Well now I am jealous I cannot find them in NYC and the last place I saw them was an hour upstate. In the final analysis I don't think you're missing much by not being out camping, etc. It can be dirty, cold and sleepless. Not to mention torturous if you end up on a long woodlands hike that you are not ready for. I aged out of the Boy Scouts a long time ago and haven't been camping and have hardly left the city since, after all we have plenty of parks full of trees here 😸😁!

lol yes i’ve never need a camper! i do always appreciate nature, though. my current collection is pretty modest because a lot of my books are at my parents’ house still 😄

The only thing I’m disappointed in is the Xbox because PlayStation is better
