Had a pretty intense experience in perspective recently, where I became very, very aware of the mechanism of the heavens as clockwork. Your proposal really strings it together for myself a bit better!

I recall a lecture from many years ago in which Geoffrey Cornelius mentioned an astrologer who defined astrology as the "poetry of the heavens" which seems to be what you also are saying in this video.

Agree! I was saying that the planets do not "cause" anything ... since I was a teenager and had taught myself to calculate astrological charts (late 1970s, I'm old, lol).

Hey Vic. I've had an idea to analyze dna strands with exact birthtimes to look for patterns that link the DNA to the astrological signature. With enough data, and AI machine learning, it shouldn't be too hard to look for a link. Is anyone doing such a study?
i think my response to this is what i said in episode 1. "shouldnt be too hard" really = "historically difficult."
I can tell you from my experience working with AI solutions that you better have a very very good understanding of how astrology maps onto DNA before you can hope using it to find any patterns. AI is useful for processing large amounts of data, but the format of data is essential for any results. If you think it's as simple as sun signs predicting some genes then sure, but most likely it's nowhere near that simple and you'd basically need an AI to learn astrology and THEN also learn how it maps to DNA. So I agree with Vic, it's definitely not the low hanging fruit.

Oh man. I just love the innovative yet clear way Vic thinks! And Astrology as the logos and language of the Sky is a compelling proposition! (I'm finding I connect this to new-old thinking such as Rupert Sheldrake proposing the Sun is conscious.) I have a lot to digest and try on for size.
I mean: in order to make sense in both emispheres, sequence Aries-Libra should be repeated two times in a year, and all signs from Scorpio to Piscis must be deleted. So It makes more sense. Orherwise, whats the astrological meaning of the opposition?
Planets affect us with their vibrational frequencies. As long as everything vibrates, the cells of our bodies, too. If one sits by a large body of water, they will be affected by its vibrations. And planets are enormous. Even much smaller objects can affect you, if they are nearer. A small jug of water by your side, for example.
And graha means to seize, literally. It means it can seize you and have you in its control.
according to the author of parashara hora, graha is from dhatup gṛl - and means "moving independently". The rest of your comment is an attempt to justify ptolemy's viewpoint. You already know from watching the video what my opinion of that is.
@@VicDiCaraAstrology the separation of causal and indicative is of your own making. In fact there is no separation. Vibrational frequencies are there, and science does not deny them. But you do, obviously.

Okay...so how do you explain the effects of Rahu and Ketu then?
Unlike planets (which according to you, emit vibrations), Rahu and Ketu are merely IMAGINARY points in the sky (They are the 2 points of intersection between the moon's and the Earth's orbits) . They don't physically exist, so then how will they emit vibrations? But in astrology, they are considered extremely important.

Beautiful !!! Modern Scientific Community is based on Mechanistic theories and they cannot explain the fundamental aspects of Human Life like Love, Anger, Compassion, Kindness , forgiving nature etc. On the contrary Vedic knowledge rooted in the fundamental principles of life (Karma/Dharma ). Modern Scientists must become more broadminded to understand the broader aspects of life and accept that not everything can be explained in a mechanistic manner. Human life and events are beyond the Mechanistic laws.
Vic .. People like you are a blessing to society as you can inject the right faith into people.

This is messing with my head. Its very odd to think that the planets do not directly affect us when our personalities reflect their natures combined. My theory is that the suns Light reflects off the planets back here on earth to affect its mechanisations, like a prism splitting light and reconstructing it back here on earth. The motions of the Planets, their locations, act as a locking-clockwork mechanism that changes the frequency of this Light reflection. Thats the best I can come up with and it makes sense too me. The ancients idea that the Planets are Omens is very odd to me; it starts to get more into the wuwu space and it becomes hard for me to take it seriously, despite how wuwu my logic may sound in comparison

Ptolemy? Or the idea in jyotish that the word "graha" means "to seize." I think jyotish is older than Ptolemy. Karma is big but so is destiny. Which is why Bhagwad Gita's biggest dictum: "Do your duty (karma) but don't expect any results or rewards." Because that's in the divine hands of the navagrahas.
It doesn’t mean that. Paras bara explains that graha is from dhatu ghrl which means “move” (planets are dobservationally ifferent from stars mainly in that they MIVE.

that is answered in the video. please watch! (in more specific detail, i will add here that motion (action) is caused by emotion (desire). and that ultimately there is an actor/agent - the person itself.

the word science itself is confused. it might as well be called "seance", when you look at its occulted heroes and practices; for example, newton as "the last of the magicians" and "stem cells" as a clinical euphemism for "the blood of children".
the failing paradigm is one of (over)emphasis on the external and the objective, at the expense of the subjective or self which is inextricable from scientific practice and understanding. either way, logic and observation are at the heart. the psyche as an object of study can be a science, for example, but categorically cannot be observed in the same way as falling apples.
the blindness of the scientists is evident to someone not so identified. they hardly recognize that they are mere theorists--thinkers--who are juggling words, unable to prove anything. on the face of it, science is about what is falsifiable; it cannot address its own axioms.
gravity is to this day a theory, when not referring merely to weight (which is the meaning of the word). we have been indoctrinated with the notion of mutual-mass attraction that has never been demonstrated and which is admitted to be orders of magnitude weaker than electrical forces, in their own paradigm. a motorized fucoult pendulum and electrostatically-uncontrolled cavendish contraptions are... lacking.
dissociated in their mind games, they morphed the original theory of gravity (classical newtonian mechanics) into one of an imagined, mathematical, and unfalsifiable geometry (einsteinian general relativity)... which itself does not comport with other dogmas they hold (quantum mechanics) or even practical engineering (maxwell's equations for understanding radio, for example, presumes the very aether that einstein supposedly disproved in his efforts to maintain a theory of earth motion around the sun!) if experiments provide contrary evidence, or are simply inapplicable to fundamental questions, they can ignore them and reify (mechelson-morley is instructive).
your work on the musical harmonic nature of the zodiac is actually quite instructive and relevant to this discussion. if we are dealing with perturbation of the aether and bodies (aetheric or otherwise) are like antenna, then their tuning is relevant. one can resize/recondition antenna to better perform reception. what does 'gravity' have to do with any of it?
being insane--dissociated/unhealed/unwhole in their thinking, godless/offcentre in their presuppositions; and faithless in their attitude--they do not understand because they do not (yet) _want_ to understand.

The word science is from the root scie which means knowing (similar to Jna or brah in sanskrit) the word means “knowledge system”.

What scientists think is not so important. Or, what anybody thinks. Thinking is a psychological phenomenon. The psychological activity to which most people have given enormous importance is of no consequence or significance.
Depending upon the type of information, imprinted within you, whatever your karma is, whatever your sanskara is, that is how you think, that is how you feel.
But it is true, that astrology is a language, that the stars speak. They tell us about our karmas, of which we would otherwise have no idea. And our karmas are at the root of what is happening to us.

@@VicDiCaraAstrology to stress the importance of action, karma, sanskara, which define how we think, what we like/dislike and how we feel. To point the difference between reality of existence and the psychology/the mind. Most people think that their thoughts are reality. And they are not. To me this is very motivating. And it is not just an opinion of the mind. I am sure you know all that.

So if astrology is describing past, current & future events on earth, are you saying that everything is pre-written in the sky? And so, are you saying that our current actions now are nothing but a manifestation of a chain reaction triggered long long ago by humans (or perhaps Gods?)
Let me share a personal example to better explain above point. My mother's chart has Jupiter at 0 degree 25 minutes in capricorn giving 75% aspect to moon. My chart has ascendant at 0 degree 27 minutes in Capricorn, while Jupiter is giving 99% aspect to moon.
Was my birth EVENT already set in stone, when my mother was born? Also, was my mother's birth pre-decided when my grandmother was born? What is the lookback period? How many generations ago did humans (or Gods) trigger such a chain reaction which is so accurately being measured by planets?
And so, whatever happened to free-will then? What if my mother had decided not to have children? Wont that have truncated one of the process in the machinery, thereby causing butterfly effect on the planet?
The planets' motion are pretty much set in stone. If they are nothing but a clock, aren't humans too then nothing but wheel-cogs who 'think' that they are taking action but in reality, they are just being pushed by forces already set in motion?
Glad i watched. Ordered a report from u and was really turned off by the descrption of Jupiter placement deemed "bad luck" thought it was irresposible of you. There was no context like this to explain it in the report. By sheer good luck i clicked on this and have a clearer understanding of what you might have meant. Modern models of light as photons is just a theory and an electron is not a physical object. Therefore,Stars are light( joyti) HUEmans are light as well so materialist scientist looking for a correlation or connection of physical matter to the human light body will always fall short because conscious awareness or Sonu luminescence is the precursor to physical matter in the (beginning was the word) and not the. Other way around.HUEmans and stars are connected through light which is consciousness. We do not need to rationalize with people who believe that an atom is a physical object ,also why the connection with the stars is a transcendental experience. primarily what means to be human cannot be physically dissected like a dead corpse on a table. Modern astronomy admits they know less than one percent of the true nature of the cosmos so when they act like looking through a telescope at a dot billion miles away and can pinpoint the exact chemical composition is just as irrational as a astrologer claiming mars transit is associated with why you are experiencing a hard day at work. The occult relies on hidden knowledge that is gathered from feelings and emotions that cannot be qualified. If a mondane atomistic science is unable to use their other facilities beyond their rational mind it will be a hopeless battle to convince them of their ignorance.
