    The situation itself doesn’t determine how you feel, the way that you feel depends on the thoughts that you have in response to the situation.

    I just found your videos. For one, the cadence is the best of any psych-help channel I’ve listened to. Your are clear, & present the material so that it builds upon itself. You offer practical ways to approach problems, and give gentle yet reasoned encouragement. I am an artist and have been hampered severely by my fear/ loathing of self promotion. I most certainly could be making a good deal more money on my work as it is excellent. I contact a few art galleries every year but even when the response is interested, I don’t follow up.
    I would like to be known and probably should be but my aversion to getting out there is winning out.
    You’re giving me a concrete way to face my reticence. Thanks!

      I realize this post is from 8 months ago and I hope you're out there promoting your work. If you still have hesitations it might be good to ask yourself What's the worst thing that can happen? What's the best thing that can happen? And what's the most likely thing that could happen? You'll see that no matter what outcome, you'll be able to handle it.

    I never knew that thoughts affect our feelings so much,
    Your Examples are so real, I always face such things in my life and didn’t know how why and what to do about those feelings!
    Great eye opening to me.. Thank you

    Thank you for this. One technical note though: can you fix the problem with the volume of the voice over? It's very low and makes it very difficult to keep up.

    Does that mean that every thought that I know is true and realistic is wrong because thoughts are not facts because I spend a lot on advancing my thoughts and that helped me grow my mindset and I critical think a lot to help assess things in my mind and grow on interpitiation of something toward another thought to grow my mindset and I’m afraid that your saying that as if my life is a lie
